I had this warranty a few years back. I ended up having a cracked block and something else major.  I paid out of pocket I believe $200, they paid well over $3K for my services.  I just bought another extended warranty with them today.  Same vehicle etc,,,,They are legitimate.  I have no reason to tell a lie. They do bother the hell out of you to get you to buy.  I did, so far, so good.   I am keeping my fingers crossed.

I got a call from these a***oles at 10 am everyday for about a week.  I am on the do not call list.  I filed another complaint about them.  I also called them and ended up talking to a guy who sounded like a perv and told him to take my name off their database.

HI used to work for this company. Let me tell you about it. There are many owners. Dana Gravante, Robert Gravante, John Gravante, Amanda Gravante, Erica Smith, Brian Conte, and Jerri (can't remember her last name). They all used to work for a company in Brick NJ called National Protection Services. The way this company works is they buy the cheapest leads. Usually ones that have been sold to other telemarketing companies, so the people #1 kept getting called #2 didn't even need the service. They don't comply with the DNC registry because we were instructed to just put those calls to re dial at a later time. I'm sure you heard something like "Hello Soandso. My name is Earl and I'm calling from the warranty division (when asked warranty division of what we told to say that we just a cancellation department for all makes). Our records indicate that your vehicle has under 150,000 miles and your warranty has expired. In order to get you back in coverage can you please tell me how many miles approximately are on your vehicle. Ok great. And are you still residing at 31 Main St in Toms River NJ (this is their address)? Wonderful and for verification purposes can you please state the make and model of your vehicle (half the time we didn't even have that)?  Ok I have some good news for you we can get you back into coverage(which was bs you needed to have the policy for 30days before it was active). This coverage includes headlight fluid, muffler bearings, and widgets." This policy was ok if you took your car to the mechanic and never even opened your hood since you needed to have records for all work done on your car. Add wiper fluid void the warranty. Change a fuse void the warranty. Wash your car void the warranty! If I were even considering one I definately wouldn't buy off a telemarketer and certinaly not off a company that has no web site or will send information in the mail.
They are just bad news. Bad business people and bad employers. They hold your final pay for months then claim like they didn't know it was due! They own quite a few numbers other then the one listed. I will look in my papers and see if I still have them. Hope this is helpful.

Complaint Review: National Protection Service AKA Motor Vehicle Protection Corporation
National Protection Service Moor Vehicle Protection Corp; Selltel Inc.; Selltel of Fla Inc.; Warrantybynet; National Protection Plan fraudulently stole money from my 78-year old mother & is doing it again after our bank filed fraud report. In January 2010, a telemarketer from Warranty Protection Services called and basically bullied my elderly mother into trying their automobile warranty service for our 2002 Honda for a month for an initial deposit of $50.00 to be paid immediately with her bank debit card. The representative said he would send her the paperwork and no other money would come out of her account unless she signed the forms and sent them back to the company. My mother never signed any forms, nor did she send anything to the company stating that they could automatically take out $147.08 out of her checking account every month. For the next ten months, $147.08 was taken out of her account without her knowledge or permission. She is elderly and has a declining memory which led to the warranty company being able to extract the money for so many months. I was asked by my mother to help with her finances and came upon these charges. She was able to tell me about the initial phone call and the circumstances following. She immediately called her bank and filed fraudulent forms against the warranty company. The bank was only able to refund my mother for $819.16, equal to approximately five and one-half months of the service. The company realistically still owes another $819.16 to equal the ten months of the warranty that she did not sign up for. While at the bank, my mother cancelled the debit card that was used so as to prevent any further charges by the warranty company and the bank was also aware not to allow any further charges by this company as well.
Unbelievably, on 02 February 2011, the same warranty company was able to debit two charges of $97.08 equal to $194.16, plus the $819.16 the company has stolen from my mother. Our bank has been alerted once more and I am filing complaints with every legal agency in existence to get my mother's money back and to prevent any other person from having to go through this nightmare.

After receiving three calls from this number in the past week in the AM caller finally spoke into the answering machine. When I picked up he said his name was ?Arnold? and he was calling from the ?National Protection Service?. Informed him we were on the National Do Not Call list and asked him to stop calling. Looked up National Protection Service on Google. Their number is 1-800-228-6160. Spoke to ?Al? who said the calls were not coming from them and that there was nothing he could do. Dialed 888-986-8526 and a woman answered the call ?National Protection Service?. I informed her that we were on the National Do Not Call list and that I was going to report them to the FTC. ?What is the FTC?? She was angry and abusive. Called 1-800-228-6160 and asked to speak to a supervisor. ?Ian? stated that he was one of the supervisors. He too, did not recognize the 888#. I described what had been happening, that we were on the Do Not Call list and would be reporting the calls to the FTC to which he replied that they wouldn?t do anything about it. I asked him if they conducted telemarketing calls to which he replied ?Of Course we do.? I asked him if they recognize the Do Not Call list. He said he would remove our number from their databank/call list. I don?t know what good it will do, as he couldn?t verify that the calls were made by his company. If they were, it sure seems like an odd way to generate business.

National Protection Service AKA Motor Vehicle Protection Corporation. Rep tried to cajole me into giving her my credit/debit card number to pay for suspicious vehicle warranty deal. Brick, New Jersey-Received phone call at 12:14 p.m. on April 7, 2012. Middle-aged woman, with a New Jersey accent, spoke to me over the phone to offer me a supposed one-time only deal to pay for an extended car warranty to provide complete coverage for my vehicle for the next 3 years. Woman told me about a couple of different payment plans that I could use to pay for the extended warranty. One was for $124.80 for 15 monthly payments, with a down payment of $623.00.   The other payment option was for $134.06 for 16 monthly payments, with a down payment of $350.00. She asked me my vehicle make & model, I told her that info. She also asked for my mailing address, which I also gave. Woman phone rep also told me her name was Janice. I did not give any of that information to Janice until after she told me several times, "Sir, in order to find out what your warranty payment plan is, I need that information!" However, I informed Janice that I don't make the final financial decisions in my household, but that someone else does & that I would have to confer with that person about it. She asked me if I was affiliated with a power of attorney. That was when I got very suspicious about the call. I told her that information as to who I consult with on financial decisions was private. She repeatedly asked me if I consult my finances with a family member, financial representative, my bank, or, once again, a power of attorney!   A few minutes later, she demanded that I give her my credit or debit card number to make an immediate payment for either payment plan that she told me about earlier.   I repeated the same refrain to her that I don't make the final financial decisions in my household.   She then abruptly yelled, "This warranty deal is off!  You have a nice day, Sir!"  Then hung up.   Which I was glad she did. Especially after reading some of the reports filed by various people on this website! Obviously a big scam going around nationally! I noticed the phone number had the area code of my state of residence, Tennessee, though the phone rep told me that she was calling from New Jersey!

I was actually surprised this company was still in business.  I too worked for this company a long time ago, sadly even though I was loyal to ownership, I was screwed in the end.  Worked for almost 10 years for them and in the end they turned their back on me.  Yes they strong arm people into buying warranties, yes they use tactics that were questionable, but claims were paid, just as any insurance company they look for reason not to pay claims,   I had a great time working there and made a great living.  The hiring philosophy was def. questionable, as they would hire any piece of garbage off the street and expect the sales managers to turn them into sellers.  I think that really is what ultimatley cause this company to sink a great deal.  Ms. Maxwell is a 2 faced person, and its sad that she has so much control because she knows nothing about running a successful business.  Shame Mr. Gartenberg opens his ears to her as this company could have had an even longer life and couldve remained successful.  Juat my 2 cents

National Protection.  They are selling car warranties or at least that what it has happened in my case.  They are calling homes and selling them.  My mother in law had car accident, so she received a call from them and they convinced her that she needs to buy "new insurance" because of that car accident.  So she bought it, she gave them my credit card number.  Her English is not that good.  So I called them and asked them to cancel whatever they sold her, they said that if she calls them they will.  Will see if they will do, otherwise I will cancel this transaction through my credit card.

I am also a FORMER employee. I worked for both NPS and Warrantybynet. I was one of their top sellers and also was a trainer.supervisor. I agree with ChattyKathy, the sales tatics from some of these people are really unethical. I will save David, Evan, and Carla will go above and beyond IF you are not on their bad side. I worked there almost 8 years before moving to Atlanta. I did question some of these people that were hired but hey, its not my company!

A young lady called my ninety year old mother today.  Unfortunately, she gave her check # and supposely authorized $296 to be taken from her bank account.  I will contact her bank in the morning to alert her account.  My mother is very upset with herself.  This makes me very angry when someone takes advantage of my mom.

The caller stated that she owed $296 dollars now and would then have to pay a monthly fee, unknown at the time.  The call pertain to some kind of vehicle inspection.

I am turning them in to the BBB, they are horrible people and unethical. I even pressed the number as if I had a "claim" and couldn't get help. God help anyone who signed up with these people and has an issue...good luck getting help!!! This is just wrong - I want to know what company this is...how do I get in touch with the owners? I read other peoples' issues...why no help ????

You are such a liar.  You are contacting elderly people who are not sure of what questions to ask.  You manage to convince them that they need something that they do not.  If you all were really a legit company EVERYONE would know of you.  You would also not need to call to get business.

When people try and cancel their "policy" with you, you are very rude and make it impossible.  You are robbing people of their trust and savings.

I HOPE YOU ARE ABLE TO SLEEP AT NIGHT!

They called my mother who doesn't speak English. They convinced my mother that this was very important and regarding her car. My mother was worried something was going to happen to her car. My mother repeatedly told them that she would rather have them speak to me but they told her they could not do that. They convinced my mom to give them her routing number. This was yesterday. Well guess what tomorrow when the bank is open I will be notifying her bank and also these scam artists will be hearing from me. They are messing with the wrong person. Although they might have taken advantage of a women who barely speaks English little do they know that this woman's daughter happens to be a LAWYER. Suck it National Protection!

I received a call from this company. The offer sounded very good and I had been shopping for a car warranty - so I agreed to the deal. After I hung up, I checked the BBB rating. This company is not a member of BBB, but it does have a C raqting with BBB. There are 64 complaints listed on the BBB site. I tried to call back the 800 number I was given to cancel the transaction, as well as the business number listed on the BBB website. Both numbers had recorded messages. I got so worried, I actually called my bank and they recommended cancelling the card I had used to make the transaction. This was a hassle, but I did it. Please, beware of making agreements with a companby before checking them out. I hope this ends here for me, nbut I am honestly scared.

They used to be called warrantybynet too. They are just middlemen who dont pay claims. If they have a legitimate offering they wont ask you to buy on the first call, will send you a copy of the contract before you give them any money, and inspect your vehicle before selling coverage

Another number that they use is 732-903-0837. They called me last week trying  to get me to put  an extended warranty  on my 1987 Pontiac which has over 150,000 miles on it. The man I talked to told me that the Government was extending the warranty time for my van. When I told him that I needed to talk it over with my wife. He kept saying that she would think it a good idea(15 years of marriage I still can't read her mind).

Dummy up you dummies NO Means NO. And wife has final say in all things.

contacted my mother (elderly) and got her to disclose debit card for 50.00 to try service for one month. Service then proceeded to extract 147.08 out of her checking account without her written permission- bank did get some of the money back, unfortunately not all, and this month the company again debited 97.08 out of her account twice- and this is after she had changed her debit card. Do not give out any information to this company at all!!!
