It's a Scam or at the very least,  a collection agency acting unlawfully and unscrupulously. Federal laws states that a collection agency must clearly identify themselves as trying to collect a debt and that all information you give them will be used to collect that debt.  Also remember, that each state has a statute of limitations.

I too received a call this morning, that I had 2 pending cases that needed immediate action taken and they were going to come to my place of employement or home and serve me with legal papers. Couldn't help by laugh at the message seeing as when you are sent a court summons they DONT TELL YOU. So many scams with this alleged "Company". Guess I have myself to blame seeing as I applied for an online payday loan awhile back. Those companies sell your numbers..... Just ignore the calls and DO NOT give them any of your information. Just because they tell you the last 4 digits of your SSN doesn't mean Jack. Oh, and don't apply or put your info for any online loans. (Ugh, desperate times call for desperate measures LOL)

I experienced a call from these crazy people also. And they cun me out of 126.00 saying I owe them money and I didnt. PLEASE B WARE OF THESE PEOPLE THEY R CROOKS AND DONT CARE WHO THEY USED. THEY. CALLED ME AGAIN THIS MORN. I HUNG UP ON THEM. THEY CALLED BACK LEFT A MESS.SAYING THAT I HAVE TWO HOURS TO RESPOND OR ELSE SEE THEM IN COURT. I LAUGHED.

HAVE GOTTEN THE SAME CALL ABOUT OWING MONEY AND GONNA GET SERVED WITH PAPERS NOONE HAS EVER SERVED ME ANYTHING FROM THIS BRINKMAN AND WEIS THEY ARE JUST A BIG SCAM. I SPOKE WITH A RUDE B#$%H FROM THIS PLACE AND TOLD HER OFF SHE TOLD ME THAT I WAS THE SCUM OF THE EARTH BECAUSE I DIDNT PAY MY BILLS I ASKED HER HOW SHE COULD LOOK AT HER SELF IN THE MIRROR WHEN SHE KNEW SHE WAS SCAMING INNOCENT PEOPLE AND SHE HUNG UP ON ME AND THEN SHE CALLED ME BACK AND I HERD HER SAY ILL FIX HER IM GONNA LEAVE THE PHONE OFF THE HOOK AND I HERD A MALE AND FEMALE LAUGH WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE TRYING TO PROVE DONT THEY KNOW WE ARE ON TO THEM!!!!!!!!

Am getting so tired of this,Bob Rochards from Brinkman & Wise Assoictaes. Two complaints filed against me and in a year I think they were going to arrest me twenty times. I have nothing out there. Have called Attorney General and Better Business Burea. I give up!

I received an computer call on 3-28-2013 at around 11:oo a.m. telling me to call this number 1-800-231-6736 concerning a returned item from my Bank. I called and was advised that they were to collect on a Bad Check (which was supposely on a Loan I had taken out in 2010. They said that had been notified that another place was collecting from me on this Loan from Atlanta, Ga and they were a fraud. I said I had never gotten a Loan. Yhey said I had until Monday to settle this or they were going to file Bad Check charges on me and the amount was over $500.00 and was a Felony. I am an elder woman and this really scared me to death. I think I will have another Stroke. How can people do these kind of things  Thank all of you for your response to this kind of calls. I will call the Attorney General on Monday and report this.

i have gotten a few calls/messages from 7162047224 to call 8002316736........i calld gave case info it was for payday 1 a loan i did online i just filed chptr7 and included it but they said they could still go after me fees they didnt want case or my atty info......i was advised by my atty no they cant.....so this so called misleading company are liars bcuz i was supposely was served my court summons last week......then y r they calling for.....ijs      good luck     they are full of it

Brinkman (Wash or Walsh) & Associates and someone Renee Parker said she would be at my house to serve me papers within 72 hours and wanted a photo id and a signature and that i should call this number 800 231 6736 with a case number for more information. Have no idea.  And Brinkma and Wiseman too under same number

I have no idea who they are. Only that they wanted money, from something I have no idea. The lady that called was Kathy Masters--They have messed with the wrong person.

I got a call too again, they keep calling my family.  To end the call I ask by law you need to send me all the information that you have, plus the bank name and account number.  For awhile that does shut them up.  Plus they want give me their company address.

I had a call today from a restricted number but the number the person told me to call was 800-231-6736. I was told by this woman that she was to serve me papers for a summons and the case id was 287592. After searching online I have found this to be bs. I have gotten alot of these type calls in the past couple years almost lost my job for them calling me at work. The best thing to do is ignore them.

A recording of some man called and said "this message is for (then a purposely scrambled recorded name) from the offices of Brinkman (Wash or Walsh) & Associates.saying they are calling regarding a returned item from my bank that requires my immediate attention and that it would be in my best interest for me or my counsul to call 1-800-231-6736  a file number 2808xx."  I first searched thie 800 number and find there are other reports by others which prompted me to search 716-204-7224 which is the number left on my caller ID. Obviously neither number deserves a return call.

Someone by the name of Matt called me and introduced himself and listed the last four of my social, he then forget to leave any other details and hung up the phone, but then called back and left a second message. When the gentlemen (I use this term loosely) called back and stated his name (Matt Cunningham) and proceeded to leave the last four digits of my social on the answering machine as well as told me that I was a criminal and that I need to call him as soon as possible, because the city officials in the state i live would be interested in booking me and to make sure I carry to forms of I.D on me and ended the conversation with good luck in court. He blatantly left this message on my home answering phone for all to hear, he scared my husband and children with message and pissed me off because i couldn't believe someone would go through these illegal lengths to collect a supposed debt. I am not a criminal and am greatly offended that someone violated my home like that and has my household in an uproar. I was unable to reach them on my cell phone, but i was able to reach them on my house phone and when i left work i immediately gave them a call to address the matter, i got probably one of the rudest people in history on the other end of the phone. The person that answered did not state the name of the business or her name she immediately started giving me a hard time, which i couldn;t understand being that they asked me to call them; she would not look up my case and explained to me i had no reason to be upset, she then hung up on me and i called back hoping to get another rep and just my luck i got the same one and i tried to giver her the claim number and she hung up on me, i called back and got the same person again and she hung up again, I tried calling back with my twenty year old son as a witness and he witnessed her going off on the phone and then hanging up, t"he worlds most horrible rep" even had the nerve to call my house and tell me to get a life and then hung up. I called back a fourth time a got another rep and explained what happened, he apologized for her behavior and supposedly tries to look up the claim number and could not access it; i did inform him that i would be contacting the better business bureau and the attorney general and i have everything on tape. PLEASE BEWARE!!

Tells me I have to call this number back that they need to settle account that has been returned to my bank... I don't have anything at a bank in my name!!! Did not leave name of company or person calling..

Called asking for a money transfer or check to cover a $300 settlement today (that of course I had never made). It's my first time with this sort of thing, but just the fact that a "lawyer" talked to me for 30minutes make me think it's a scam. Anyone know? Guys name was Quincy Montgomery...
