This is a scam on this number (800-234-9939) as well as (888-234-9939) in order to obtain your personal information!
Block these numbers and it will make the low life scammers have to use other numbers to call you back !!

As for landline phones, you CAN BLOCK unwanted calls! Depends on the phone you own. I bought a cordless phone set that allows me to block any number I wish. I bought a Panasonic cordless set (with blue tooth and cell contact import capabilities), and it has "Call-Block" and "Unknown Caller" block features built right in. Select the number that just called and save it to "Blocked." Done. Pesky robo-callers, scammers, and survey reps (who say they are "immune to the rules of the DNC list") are blocked immediately. They receive a rapid busy signal. (I've tested it!)

The best thing about this phone is it also has a setting to block ANY CALL that displays NO NUMBER, so ALL "Out of Areas" and "Unknown"s--any callers with no number--are history!!!. Those callers receive a message that says something like, "The number you have called does not accept calls with blocked caller identification. Please unblock your number and call back." That way, if your friend, for instance, forgot to unblock his/her cell ID, he/she receives a message instead of a rapid busy signal (as do the "blocked" numbers).

I'll bet it's only a matter of time before all phones come with a similar feature (or the FCC requires phone companies to allow you to add these features to your existing service).

these sites are all three different but have the same  1-800-444-3000 numbers as there numbers.
Then I looked into this more and the number 1-800-234-9939 is a number that is considered to be a SCAM.

I have been getting phone calls from this number 1-800-234-9939 all week 10-14-13 10-20-13. I am very disgusted. The other number that they give is 1-800-444-3000. Thank you

just call around 10:20 am 6/26/13 at my house phone. The man speaks Spanish and ask about my information to get a card of 10.00 for questions of health and if I have kids less then age 18 years old and how old was I and he asked me what language I speak, and he asked me if I was from mexico. they call me several days but I never answer except today that I answered the call.

They called about 20 times in the last week.
I was out of town.  Very annoying.

This number called and hung up on my machine.  I called it back and is some sort of a sex talk line???

4-05-2013  This people have a sex business or some sort, guys press or girls press some different number.  It definitely isn't Yellow Pages or some other regular business.  I would think from the way it sounds it is some sort of SEX thing.

I answered.  It was PetCo doing a quick, 2 minute survey of customer experiences (and yes, it only took 2 minutes... 3 max).  I shop at PetCo and have their PALS Card which is ID-ed by my phone #.

I am on the Do Not Call List, too.  BUT, part of that law many people forget is that any company is allowed to call as long as anyone using my number has done business with them in the last 18 months.  Those businesses plus charities and political organizations are exempt from the Do Not Call restriction.

Other companies besides PetCo could be using this survey company.

I don't know how to block this number and they have been driving me crazy for several days!

This has been happening for several days now- it starts around 3 pm and goes till 830 pm. They hang up if I don't answer. Since it was driving me crazy I finally answered-- they said they were doing a survey about my local pharmacy. I said do not call me again, remove me from the list. They called again several times yesterday and again, hung up with no message.

Don't know who these idiots are, they call all hours of the day on this stupid 1-800-234-9939; hang up and call again...REALLY!

I see a pattern. I will block this and other numbers...and see what numbers these 'fraud' use next.

Just got a hang up call from this number...more than likely a telemarketer....dno list doesn't stop them because they all have numerous telephone numbers they call from.

I have been getting my phone blown up with these idiots calling me. Since it was an 800 number, I would not answer it. They would NOT leave a message either. I figured if they won't leave a message then I wasn't going to call them back or answer the call. Today,12-22-2012 from 9:00am until 12:45pm they called me eight times. I was getting sick of it so, I answered it. It was some guy taking a survey for "YellowBook"!! I told them I was on the "National Do Not Call Registry" He said the Registry didn't apply to them. So, I told him to quit calling me! We will see what happens.

Just received call from this number. Caller ID says "800 Service". They asked for Heather and hung up when my husband said there's no Heather here and our number is on the Do Not Call list.

Who is this?  Getting "new" toll free numbers lately with not ID at all.  Anyone else get a call from this number?
