Got an EMAIL from info@kitchenmagic.com "confirming" a supposed registration with them.  They had my personal email address, my mother's name and phone number, and the right street name but wrong house number.  On top of it they said WE accessed their website tonight - AT A SPECIFIED TIME, WHEN WE WEREN'T ON THE INTERNET ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!!!  We never fill out these trade show cards, so it is obvious they are trying to compile information and mailing lists (for email, phone nos., and physical addresses) and get people to contact them via means other than the cards.  If my email address - which is tightly controlled and never once has gotten a spam email since I signed up (until this one from Kitchen Magic) - starts getting other spams, I will be serving Kitchen Magic with papers.

The caller is "Kitchen Magic", a high-end remodeling company.  I had filled out a contest entry to win a beautiful new kitchen that I knew I could not afford, so when they called me I  asked them to put me on the "do not call list" and immediately stopped receiving calls. Just call them and ask to be put on the "do not call list",  Once you fill out any information with any company they are entitled to call you whether you are on the "do not call" registry or not since you inquired with them.  Or just pick up the phone and tell them to put you on the do not call list, you have to be direct, "not interested" is not the same thing. Or don't give your info to companies you are not interested in doing business with!

This is from Kitchen Magic. They gave us an estimate (after filling out a card) 2 years ago. They must be desperate for work since it has been that long. We went with another company to redo our kitchen.

Getting calls every day; we don't answer and there is never a voicemail. Yes, I think my wife filled out the questionnaire. How do we stop it?

I, too, received a "coincidental" unknown caller phone call 27 minutes before getting a call from 800-237-0799 with an unknown listing.  I called the 800 number to be asked to be placed on the "do not call" list.  I was transferred to another woman, who took the number to be placed.  Using the number, she accessed a file with my name.  She went on to state the reason for calling: to say that  Kitchen Magic was offering a better estimate due their 30th anniversary.  I stated that I was calling to be placed on the "do not call" list and not be be given a sales pitch.  The woman became argumentative.  When I asked again to be placed on the list, she went further with the sales pitch.  I loudly asked if she would like that I file a complaint, at which time she started yelling at me.  I hung up on her.  So much for fine customer service in this down economy!  I will NOT do business with Kitchen Magic!

You go into the mall, fill out a contest card saying you could win a kitchen makeover.  Then the calls start, by asking if you would like an estimate on your kitchen. I filled it out in February (it is now June)and still NO WINNER!!!  I have asked them previously to stop calling and they started up again.  Whatever you do, DO NOT FILL OUT A CONTEST AT THE MALLS FOR A KITCHEN REMODELING CONTEST.......

Darn.  Just filled out that card about a week and a half ago.  The calls have started.  I am not answering anymore.  But they are annoying.  Just once every other day so far.

We're on the Do Not Call list and still this number called us. The person was laughing in the answering machine with other women in the background repeating "don't say ford"? I'm guessing they were goofing off because they quickly hung up.

Many cell providers can block selected incoming calls.  There may be a fee.  

Or you can put the pest's number in your contacts list and assign them the ring tone "no ring".  The calls will go straight to voice mail without ringing.

So annoying!!! EVERY night at dinner time I get a phone call from this number on my cell phone.  From the previous posts I see it is Kitchen Magic.  I filled out a card once for a chance to WIN a new kitchen sometime last year.  They called everyday, several times aday for weeks!  I finally went off on someone and asked them to stop calling me.  They stopped for several months and have started up again.
I re-registered my cell phone on the do not call registry.  If they call after 31 days I can file a complaint.

My tatic for unwanted sales calls?  Claim "Poor!"  They wont waste their time on a dead lead.
I just called them and asked to be removed from their calling list.  They have called me several times a day for several months now.  I told them our house was in foreclosure.  She didnt question me and took me of the call list.
Now if I can only get Power Windows to stop harassing us......

This company has harassed me via many telephone calls every day (ABOUT THREE TO FOUR TIME A DAY) as theses calls are unwanted and needless.

I note that my wife filled out a contest for a free kitchen remodel that we did not win.

As a result this company thinks they have the right to call me all the time (DAY & NIGHT) to offer a discount and a free estimate for a kitchen remodel.

On the last call from this company on 2/28/11 at 8:29 PM they intentional hung up on me when they did not get my consent for their services.

At this time I am going to call this company (800-237-0799) and demand that they take me off there calling list as well as call the better business bureau and file a compliant against this company.
