I recieved a call from them saying that I had entered a contest at a Texas Rangers Game durring the 2011 season. They were right! I had entered a contest but I could not remember what for. I was hopeful yet skeptical. I told them I would be there and then found this thread. Then I got the email from them which said that I would be given a scratchoff at the piney shores resort and that I needed to scratch off 5 gold symbols in order to win the mercedes, bmw, porche, or $49,000 cash. The card would consist of 25 possible squares to scratch off. The odds of winning are 1 in 53,130. I read on to find out that I had been selected because a credit agency had determined that I had met their credit criteria. The email is very careful not to guarantee me anything. I will not be going. I live in Arlington, TX and it is too far a drive for something that seems like utter BS. Besides, chinese new year that weekend.

I received this in the mail, thought it was a scam, but researched it anyway. turns out it is a scam for a timeshare company.
HateThese#s 2011-06-06 20:57:20 Unknown
No Call, but did receive a postcard stating I won some prize and to call this number 8002398863. Same, I researched, and I won't be calling. General rule of thumb, never answer any number you don't know - why caller ID was invented :)

Guys,
I wonder why you guys open the envelope after all. I know it wass a scam the moment I saw that. Travel documents that I never sought are posted with a sign of "open immediately"?? Seriously you guys need some "real education".
BTW I never need google to judge things. That leaves me laughing because if this was mailed to you before 1995(or may be 2005) I wonder you Class guys might have fallen for it. Google is kinda god for you???
OH oh Oh
And I am pretty sure no third world guy would ever fall for this kind of pranks. It is you from first/second whatever, who usually are the victims. Grow up kids.

Maybe, you should just call and find out what it really is. If youre honestly that curious. instead of listening to other peoples rampages. for those who want to know. If it seems too good to be true, then it probley is. But you will never know unless you call and find out for yourself. call it a waste of time, I see it as a piece of mind. it takes 10 minutes to go online and type up a storm, when it takes 3 seconds to call and find out, then you can harass them like there harassing you.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to get "Susan Murray's" home phone number so she can also enjoy phone calls from the same people she is trying to scam?
Of course, that name is false as well, I imagine.
telemarketers-r-scum 2009-08-06 20:10:37 Unknown
Ooooh such anger. Your definition of SCAM is far too narrow. Obviously this site is cutting into your SCAM or you wouldn't be spewing this crap on here. That's good, we know it's working but always appreciate confirmation from the SCAMMERS themselves.
How dare I my A$$ LOL
Slow day in the boiler room realboy?
Realboy 2009-08-06 20:07:22 Unknown
Ok people! A scam is where YOU pay something and get nothing. Will this company may be slightly miss leading in their advertisement, they are no where near a scam... In fact you would be scamming them. Really! They are asking you to sit through a presentation. You don't have to buy. And they still give you a prize... Like I said they are allowing you to scam them! You people are just mad because you think it should be delivered to your front door while you site on your A$$. Hell publishers clearing house will bring to your front door but you still have to sign up for tons of magazines and book of the month clubs in order to even qualify. People you will never get something for nothing. And driving to a resort and tell someone "no I don't want to buy now give me a prize" is hardly any work at all. There are people who do this yearly in order to get free stuff and free trips. And you call it a Scam... How dare you.

i dont know if you read my message online that ive posted, my mother works for the Postal Service and she says to report this at 18002758877. I just got one of these blue cards stating that i won a prize in the mail today also. Hope that helped. have a great day
Melissa 2009-07-17 18:38:27 Unknown
Hey i live in ny and i just recieved a blue card with this bs also today. My mother is a Supervisor for the Postal Service and she says if you recieve these kind of cards in the mail report it to 1800 275 8877. I dont even know how they even got my name and adress but if you want to stop this please call and report.
obizznit 2009-07-16 02:02:46 Unknown
i got the same blue letter which was mailed to my last last apartment 6 years back!! loll- as soon as i saw that i knew that they were fake!!
CN 2009-07-10 02:45:19 Unknown
I got the letter and scheduled an appointment. I was stuck viewing a time share and listening to a lecture for 1 1/2 hours. I had to finally tell the salesman I just was not interested and wanted one of those big prizes listed - he went back repeatedly to this room where his "Supervisor" was hiding through out the presentation-never showed his face- this is stolen right from the used car salesman ploy.In the last effort, the salesman comes back and tells me I did NOT have a qualifying number for the large prizes, but I had a consulation prize for a digital computer camera(worth about $30.00), just the amount of gas I spent going out there-I was suckered.Don't do it unless you live within 15 minutes and want a small prize.
lo......l 2009-06-26 07:07:17 Unknown
people that fall for this are...........trying to find a better word than stupid but my English isnt that good...........Now the people sending the letters, wow. people, if you did not play for something; why would you think you won. I got the letter and boarding passes and then a few weeks later........I got the blue card with the same crap on it about the cars, the money and the trip. I dont know about you guys but I felt offended when I got the first letter but then when I got the sencond one all I could say was.......REALLY!

Hi. My mom got one of those AVC Travel things for that gold give away too. Now i hate this because she doubted it too but gave into all of it. We are hoestly a very poor family and for her to get so happy over something so stupid i really hate to tell her it was a fake. It's awfull, really it is. I feel really bad for all the people who believe it. She never checked online and i'm the one who'll have to tell her. Ahh. If you do find someplace to report these people I would like to know as well
