got call from this number from a guy who sounded Indianan aid he was from visa rewards and was calling to give me a $100 dollar debits reward card and 15% discount off my next purchase at walmart for using my card first asked to confirm my address they had on file which is the same one im listed the phonebook for the past 10 years then they asked to confirm if my credit card was the same one they had on file by confirming just the year and month so i told him. then this guy asked me to tell him the 16 digits of my card then i got suspicious so i started a reverse search of the number and found this and told him i was checking his number for security sake he said do i want him to call back in 5 minutes i said sure havent heard from him since glad i didnt give him my credit card or account numbers, however since i told him my cards year and month should i be worried?

They just called me twice within 5 minutes. I didn't answer either time and they never left a voicemail. That's a good sign of it being spammers, so block it if this number calls you.

I just received a phone call from this number they said it was visa/mastercard rewards. They had all my information. He wanted to verify my credit card with the expiration date I gave that to him. Then later he asked to place the Rewards money on my card so I needed to verify my card number. Which I refuse to give him. I asked speak to his supervisor. Andre was the supervisor and he came on I ask them where they were? He said Milford Connecticut. I asked to speak with his supervisor she was not available. I need said that the Misses so and so would call back and I said thank you and hung up the telephone ne I call that number immediately and it was a recording then I'll jump on the internet found you folks all listing and your situations and I'm glad I did what I did and I hope you all have a great 2013

I was on the computer, watching something on YouTube, and all of a sudden, I get this call from 800-240-2198. I answer it, and I ask "Hello, who is this?" All I got was a bunch of jumbled, non understandable static. I got really freaked out. The call ended quickly, and i got no I.D. of who this was. I am really scared. I am a full believer in the paranormal, and when something like this happens, it's a sign that a creature, known as Slender-man, is coming to kill me. I am afraid of something like this. I need help, fast. When i am called, or i call someone, it always shows the area of the area code. This time, it did not. I'm in a state of extreme panic. Someone, please find out who this is, and stop him or her.

I gave my info damn it, then I cancelled my card. She knew my married name and it's not even on most of my stuff. She offered some gift card and 100 dollars and a discount card. You can actually buy people's information from companies and they can have alot of recent information on you. my husband is a mortgage broker and this is how he obtains info for his telemarketers. Everytime you enter your info into things online someone is collecting it and selling it. Unfortunately, they do not screen who they sell to often. I name these numbers as spam in my phone.

they called me today and told me I was gonna receive 100 wired to my card and 2 $25 gift cetificates for being a loyal customer. the weird part is after giving them the experation date of my card they told asked if my card started with a 4 which it does, then continued to ask for the full digits which was confusing. luckily my phone dropped the call cuz when I called back it went straight to a voicemail. visa doesnt have voicemail...

Got a call from them a few minutes ago. I gave them the expiration date of my cards trying to figure out what the hell they were talking about. They had my address and my name already. Wanted to send me lots of rewards for using my debit card. They said they wanted the number from my card that started with 4. I'm like they all start with 4. I'm not dumb enough to give out my card number unless I'm calling you. then they said something about expiration date x/14. none of my cards expire in 2014. That when I hung up. kept saying everything was free and wanted to make sure they were talking to me. Couldn't hardly understand the woman. If they call me back I think I will play with them a little bit.

I also received a call today also from a woman who sounded phillipno, and she gave me the same spill about a free gift card. She then put me on hold andi figure she must have been able to tell my card is a renault activated debit card with no money on it, bec all of a sudden she said my card was not the right one they had on their system and could I use a different card. and this was right after she first said any visa or master card would be ok. Def a scam. when something is too good to be true then it's too good to be true.

They call several times a day - I never answer if it is an unknown number; if it's important, they'll leave a message, right?  Well, they never do.  These calls started shortly after I signed up for some online coupon thing - never gave them my phone number or any other important info.

they called me and wanted me to read a credit card number off to them that they told me they were going to put $100 on and i called mastercard and found out that it was either stolen or just someone elses credit card

Got a call from this number. Once they got to the google voice prompt of "Speak your name" they hung up. Leaving me a long silent voicemail. Called right back, asked about getting a blank call. The "fast speaking accented woman" answered. "There must be something wrong with the recording. We'll call you back later with it fixed hopefully to explain. Have a nice day. Thanks for calling." and she hung up.

Yes this number called me. For the 2nd time i thought it was from a company that i have applyed for a job.
I think she's a filipino coz she sounded like she was offering a lot and right after she'll ask for my bank card
And creditcard info. luckyly i dint give her any of my info coz my daughter keep crying and she snap the phone in my hand. and it hung up. Becareful with this person she's a scumbag hope f.b.i and the other agency arrest her. So she cant scam other people anymore. and if u ever came accross with her ask her who she work for and ask for a PRC # or something she's not familiar with. about the stuff or product she was offering from.

Yea I had this problem a long time ago and they had a different number back then and now they are for some reason calling me back I want to see if I can block my name from there records period

They called me, informed me that I was being given $125 American Express Gift Card and asked me to confirm my personal information on my credit card.  When I asked which credit card (I have none) they said some recent purchases were made which made me "eligible" for the $125 American Express Gift Card and two $25 Visa Debit cards as well and they just needed to have me confirm my information so the cards could be sent to me ..... (duh - CLICK! - Immediate call back on IGNORED!!!)

Me too a man called me saying i got a 25$ gift card from visa, and wanted my expiration date and then wanted my security number.  whatever who are you? if you want to send me a gift card then just send it. it was really weird i am calling my bank right now

I was called yesterday and I didnt answer.  Again this morning I got the phone call and when I answer a woman was talking fast and with an accent.  She was talking about I had gon a gift for having a visa card and wanted to verify my information.  She gave me an address and it was correct so I told her yes.  Then she wanted to know the expiration date of my card and thats when I got suspicious.  When I call the bank for assistance they never ask me for such information so why did she need to know that?  I told her I did have my card with me so i didnt know the date.  Then I asked why was she calling me and she went on to tell me the same story and she said that if I wanted she would give me her business information including lilcense nunmber.  When I asked her to give me taht information she said she would call me back later when I had my credit card with me.  THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! What I want to know now is, can they still get a hold of my information with just my address? if so I need to change my credit card information.

I received a call from a Filipino lady from the same number she couldn't pronounce my name right so I told her that person doesn't live at this number.
I agree that it sounds like a scam
