Junk fax advertising small business loans.  Why anyone would trust a fax like this with no company info is beyond me.  "Removal" instructions are www.number-privacy. eu (an obvious number harvesting site if it does exist) or 855-467-0210.  FCC complaint has been filed.

Fax Machine
We received the same fax on two consecutive days. Below is a link telling how to deal with scam faxes:

                       http://www.consumerfraudreporting.org/howtoblockjunkfaxes.php

Not only do these scammers waste a lot of target companies' ink/toner, the faxes require legal-size paper (or two sheets of letter-size if your fax machine isn't loaded with legal-size paper), which is more expensive than letter size paper. Often, these faxes also cause jams in the fax machine because when large amounts of toner are used to print a fax, it gets between the rollers. This wears out the rollers and, eventually, the fax machine.

On-line fax services may not be an option for many small businesses. Although we are not a small business, our company is not in the position to make technology decisions for our company. We are owned by a larger corporation, and use an IT consulting firm.

DJL,

You aren't going to "fill up" their answering machine because you're probably getting an asterisk based  pbx/voice mail system which stores the calls on a hard drive with room for thousands of calls.  And in this case they are probably just ditching the calls into the bit bucket anyway, and harvesting the caller id info for future use.

What you ARE doing is setting yourself up for future grief from these slimeballs.  Do you really want to have them turn an automated system loose on your phone number?  They can generate hundreds of calls an hour to your number, 24 hours a day, and it won't inconvenience them in the slightest.  That is the sort of "payback" response you are risking, assuming that they notice your efforts at all.

Also, every number you call from gets automatically added to the "sucker" list, since they assume you are calling because you fell for the scam.

I have the same technology at my disposal that the bad guys have at theirs, including lots of "disposable" numbers, and I wouldn't try to do what you are attempting by sitting at your phone hitting redial.  With a phone and a redial button you can only be a very little dog.  With a pbx and a lot of voip lines you are a big dog.  If the little dog ever manages to get the big dog annoyed, the results just aren't good for the little dog.

If you want to do something about these creeps, file a complaint with the FCC and the FTC.  What they are doing is prohibited under the TCPA.  If you can find out who they are, you could sue them and be paid for every call, but I doubt you would have a prayer of collecting a judgment against this sort of scum.  Eventually they will spam the wrong fax machines often enough that they will get shut down, but that could take two or three years.

To the poster who was upset that the junk fax had consumed a lot of ink, I strongly urge you to consider one of the many inexpensive on-line fax services.  The one I use allows me to block anonymous faxes, of which this is one.  It also allows me to give an 800 number for my fax.  On-line fax services let you receive your faxes anywhere, anytime, on your computer, smart phone, tablet, etc.,.  And there is no ink or toner,  no fax machine, no hassle.  (You can print the faxes if you need a hard copy, but I usually just save them on my computer). I replaced my personal fax machine with an on-line service years ago, and it has been a great solution.

And in closing, since bad guys also read this site: To the guys sending these scam faxes, you shouldn't sleep too easily.  Not everyone who appears to be a juicy mark is one.  Some of us are fishing for you with artificial bait ;) .

Same here, a useless unsolicited paper eating FAX from scumbags.

I am in a routine to keep calling the 800 number until we fill up the answering machine. I call upon all of you to dfial 1-800-251-2920 and show the scumbags what it is like to get unsoliced calls.

Not often we get to send them a message, so please cll the number and waste as much of thier time as you cam.
