Called at 8:03 am on a Sunday, robo-call, asking me to call back asap.  Really, on Sunday.

Received a call on my cell from this number.  Couldn't get to it in time so I called back today and found it belonged to Humana Puerto Rico.  I have no ties to Puerto Rico at all so am chalking it up to a wrong number dialed at this point.

its a collection agency for loans, medical bills, utilities like national grid and gas, etc. I'm sure they collect for MANY companies or buy the debts from various corporations so they can be calling about a variety of collection matters. As you can imagine they must have a ton of false or wrong , old, misleading, error numbers on their contact list.

Received an automated call 3-4-2014 on my landline asking me to call 800-256-3376 "regarding a debt collection matter."  All of my accounts are current.  If I receive another call from EOS CCA, I will file a complaint with my state attorney general's office.

Didn't leave a vm, called at 8am. I used to work at a call center for collections and we always gave our name, business name, and the purpose of the call. This is standard in any legitimate business call. What is wrong with these people?

If you owe the debt - happy with the service - then what are you doing here? What reason would you have to search the number, click on the 800notes link, and post a comment? Your post will have to be marked as 'suspect'. While we're at it, who 'forgets' they owe money?

Legitimate debt collection for a medical co-pay we had overlooked.  Person I talked to was very polite and helpful.

I've had this number call me 2 times and they never leave a message. Today I got a call from my sister's sister in law saying they got a message on their answering machine asking if they knew the whereabouts of me (how they got their number ill never know)! I tried calling this number and it rings twice then goes busy......

Called my home early this morning and left a generic, pre-recorded message on the voicemail stating that we have a message from EOS CCA and that it is an attempt to collect a debt.  No mention of any name of any person that they are looking for so I'm not sure if they are actually trying to reach someone in my house or not.  I haven't received any letters at my house attempting to collect any debts and I know that by law, they have to send something in the mail within 5 days of initial contact if it's for someone in my house.  

I have missed calls from this number but they never leave a voicemail. I assume if it were important, they would leave me a message.

You should discontinue your use of the internet immediately until you grow up and/or learn how it works.

I did get through using my cell.  They told me the bill for me was dated from 2006, and who it was for.  I told them first of all that I don't have debt, and that I paid that bill.  They demanded proof.  I told them that it was seven years ago.  They are sending me proof the place sent me bills I never received.  Lived here for over 25 years.  Never received one bill.

Also claimed to have my son and daughters names, and my son hasn't lived with me for over four years.  Daughter - over 14.  !  

I then looked up the NYS statute of limitations.  Tried to use the one posted by lament.  It didn't work for me, but I did find one at:  http://www.nycourts.gov/courts/nyc/civil/consumercredit.shtml.  The statute is six years.  IT I receive anything, I'll be happy to send them a happy letter letting them know about the statute of limitations.  Their clock has run out of time.  So sad.  Of course it will be return receipt requested, and I'll be more than happy to sue.  I'll be sure to let them know that in the letter as well.

This number belongs to EOS CCA.  It is an unfriendly place to call, by the way.  Be very careful with them.  when the supervisor got on the line with me, she said the only thing she would be happy to discuss would be a payment arrangement.  I told her I was sure she would be, if only I owed money.  Then I'd be happy to make her happy.   She hung up dissatisfied.  Please friends - make them just as unhappy about their jobs.

Received a call from this number yesterday at 8:05 a.m.  Thought it was my son, but I found a message being left on my machine stating they were a debt collection agency, and to call ELS....something something, and to call 800-256-3376 - the number THEY used to call me.  So, ... I called back.  It rings twice then goes to a quick beeping sound.  Tried it twice. I was going to light into them because we don't owe any bills (odd to be able to say that, especially right now!) but couldn't reach anyone.  Obviously.

I just received a call from this number- it sounds awfully fishy- I actually used to work in collections, and I can tell this doesn't seem real- "If you are still on this call we are assuming you are ______ as this message contains personal information. I will now pause for three seconds." The voice didn't even sound real.

They didn't send anything to my house, which would be the first step. To actually give a chance to pay the bill to the company before collectors. Plus, in my state it's illegal to call cell phones, which was how I received this call.

I know I've paid everything I owe. I had a few fake agencies trying to collect after I received some medical bills, saying it was for different tests sent out. I contacted the hospital and found out I never had those tests and everything I had was covered under charity care. I think this may be another one of those agencies.

Rose,  this board has no ability to block any calls for anyone.  It is simply a discussion board.   Contact your phone company or consider a call blocker. sorry

They keep leaving message for someone I don't even know and want me to call back to stop the calls, I don't feel comfortable calling a #I don't know.  Make them stop!

Have been getting calls and (mostly) voicemails from this company almost daily for several weeks. Sounds like a collection agency looking for someone who owes somebody something.

The recorded voice gives me the name of the person they're looking for, and then instructs me to call a toll-free number if I'm NOT that person. When I did, another recorded voice told me to give them my phone number so they could remove it (and me) from their records. So I did; but a week later, I had another call and two more voice mails looking for the same guy, with the same instructions to call another number if I wasn't him, etc.

I called the FIRST number and gave the person on the other end a warning: either take me off their list and stop calling me, or I'd be contacting my state attorney general's office to complain. She asked me for my number, which I gave her (they already have it, after all), and told me they would remove me from their list. She told me to have a nice evening and hung up--quickly.

My advice for anyone who's (understandably) annoyed by these kinds of calls is to threaten similar action and, more importantly, follow through if they won't leave you alone. That's what I plan to do if they call me again...

A Sheena asked me my name and account number, the one left on my answering machine. I gave her the account number and then asked her what name she had. She told me my number,without a middle initial. I asked what the full name was, she told me the same name with a middle initial. I told Sheena it was not me. I asked to be taken off the calling list. She asked for my number so that they could remove it from their list. I asked her what number she had, she told me she did not know. I told her that I was not going to tell her my number because I did not know if she was legit or not, but if I received another call I would go after them. She told me that I would still receive calls and hung up. Do not give them any of your personal information !!

I called the 1-88-256-3376 number back to see what I supposedly owed. They said the name of the company was EOCCA in Rochester. I asked what EOCCA stands for, and he said "It doesn't stand for anything." The guy said I owed a bill for $174 to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse NY from 2011. When I told them I LIVE IN TENNESSEE and had never been to Syracuse, they claimed it was for lab work sent to the hospital. I asked what doctor ordered the lab work. They claimed they didn't have a record of that. They said I apparently did not have insurance, and as soon as I said that I DO HAVE INSURANCE, they immediately wanted my insurance information. SCAM. PHISHING. I gave them nothing. I told them that I wanted an itemized statement sent to me and then I would respond. He claimed my address was in some odd city in NY. Again I said TENNESSEE. I told him that there are 6000 people in the US with my name, and he quickly hung up the phone.

I immediately called Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse to make sure there were no outstanding charges in my name--and there was not a single one. You can bet I'm not done with this phony EOCCA call.

Send them a cease & desist letter, calls will stop !!

I get The same calls from 1800--896-4539, I do have a student loan and I thought the same thing. I thought it was a scam. I made payment arrangments with them and everything. I also sent them money a few times ,since I can't make anymore payments, they are still calling me. They said that they were collecting a debt for the student loan people. Rochester credit has been calling my number for weeks now looking for a fictiious person.

I have left messages asking them to take our phone number off the do not call list and they just keep calling. Is there any way to block this call?

These lowlifes really need to be called to the table on how they do business. It's offensive, illegal and downright rude. Who wants the phone ringing all hours of the day from someone who is either scamming or is not doing the research before just randomly making these annoying call?

This number has been calling me since last August looking to collect a debt from an Anne Marie.  I have talked to people three times and every time they say they are going to take number out of database.  They call at least 10 times a week still.

I got an automated call asking for me, but by my maiden name. It was saying they were calling to settle a debt, which I have none of. The only weird thing, is it looks like it's out of Rochester, NY. I used to live there when I went to college, so something I did there must have gotten a hold of my number? But this is most definitely a scam. I have no delinquent debts, never had a physical address in Rochester, never went to a hospital there... so most definitely a scam...

I get calls all the time asking for April one time when I told him April did not live here. He said don't lie I know April lives there let me talk to her. I said don't tell me who lives in my house.He said just let me talk to April I told him to stop calling looking for April. The next time I was not so nice I told him to stop f****ng calling my house. I still get calls from the jack***.
