They called me and said that they were trying to verify employment for Sarah Dunning. When you called my number and didn't hear a company's name on the voice mail why didn't that tip you off??

I do not owe anything to anyone in the way of dollars.  My insurance covered all of my medical bills as my situation was catastrophic.  Not sure how they got my information.  It has also been over 6 years since those hospitalizations.  Also, since then, another incident was covered by workman's comp with a lawyer and they still call!

This number has called my phone several times a day for the past 8 months. The first time I answered the phone I told them the person they are looking for is not at this number and that they had the wrong number.  They have continued to call for  the past 8 months. They never leave a message.  Telling them they had the wrong number is useless.  I keep my ringer off and screen my calls.  Maybe one day before I die they will stop calling.

This number has called at least once a day in the last nine days; only during the workweek and only during business hours.  I do not make or take personal calls on my cell phone during my work hours unless it is an emergency situation.  

However, I am not in the habit of blindly calling unfamiliar numbers on my caller ID.  If the caller would leave a voicemail, I would be happy to return the call during my personal time, which is clearly stated in my outgoing message.  My position is that if the caller is unable to do so, then the call cannot be very important.

They call but never say anything.... they are calling everyday for some reason

They never leave me a message, and the few times I've actually answered I get "Please hold for an important business call" and then about 5 seconds of hold music, and then THEY hang up on ME.

Just got a call from this number, they state they are collecting for someone I never heard of. Asked me why I waited to here the entire reason why they are calling, told them because I wanted to see who was calling and people miss pronounce my wife's name. I have the feeling this will repeat, if so I will go there in person if need be and or sue. To come up with an incorrect number and falsely accuse in an outrage.
I just wonder how they got my cell number, possibly as it is a number that a company would want being so simple?

They are continuing to call my home, looking for someone who has the same first initial as me.  I have called them and told them that (1) I am not that person, (2) I have had this number since 1995, and no one else has lived here and that (3) I am not related to the person they seek, nor anyone else in this state, as it's a married name from decades ago.  They claim they don't have this number, and they SAY they will not call it again -- and then they call again.  This went on for a while several months ago, and started again almost daily a few weeks ago.

Tonight, they left a lengthy recording on my answering machine, and although the first part was cut off, the second part said "by continuing to listen to this, you acknowledge you are (the name of the person they think lives here).  This message contains private information.  This is Diversified Collection Services and we are attempting to collect a debt."

Needless to say, anyone that doesn't answer and has an answering machine has no chance to disconnect, and by default is acknowledging that they are the person!   This shouldn't even be legal.  

I was able to call them back and after a 17 minute wait calling from my cell phone, and an extremely angry conversation on my part, they said (as always) that they have no record of this number, and it's the computer calling.  In a call back from them later, they claim that this must be being called by the computer because of the same first initial as the person they are looking for, and they will block their computers from calling it.

I've heard this before.  I don't believe it.  I'll be filing a complaint with the FTC.

And they are STILL calling here, every day, looking for someone who never lived her, just because she has the same initial, and even though THREE TIMES they have been told that and they swear they're taking me off the list.  But they keep calling.  Filing a complaint for harrassment with the FTC.

I used to work for this company!  This year actually, lol.
While they are nice legitmate people (it seems), some of them are complete and utter do***ebags.

In my training with them, they told me even though we don't OFFER what we do, we ARE to tell them what we do IF we are asked.  We're told to say "we're a business, we do multi-diversified things" ...
**They use a skip tracer so they dial anyone who is remotely affiliated with the person who owes debt.

- If you tell them you have a cell phone and they STILL call, you can go after them.
- Look up FDCPA guidelines, some states they're not allowed to leave messages but they do.
- If one gets hostile, ask for Trent, Trevor, or KC.

Collection agency, Diversified, calling from two different numbers, a couple times a day, looking for someone who just happens to have the same last name as me.  They did this a few months ago too, looking for the same person.  I am listed in the phone number by a first initial, not a name, so it seems they're trying anyone who could be that name.

They're calling my number, and I don't have any debt to collect.  They don't leave a message.

I recieve messages from this phone repeatedly.  They are looking for one of our employee's who is in Debt Collection.   I contacted them and notified them that they can no longer contact our Company and that we will not provide any information to them regarding the the person they are looking for.  
They were extremely courteous and stated they would remove our company phone number as a means of contact. I am hoping that they follow through with it!

I also just called this number and spoke with Carol. I had a small remainder on a bill from HCMC from a hit-&-run accident I was in and she took care of it right away. Carol was here in town, not from some call center hundreds of miles from Minneapolis. She was helpful and courteous and sent an email receipt of my payment. This is NOT just someone calling about cleaning your carpets or timeshares or something. You should at least call them to find out what the problem is. I'm glad I called back. And no, I don't work for them.

I got a voice mail as well but it did not go as far as the issuse all that they adressed was my fist name. How did they get my number?

It's legit. Just set up a payment plan for my Park Nicollet Clinic bills. Carol was super nice.

If anything you said were true you wouldn't even be on this site. But beginning with the claim that you don't work there, it's obvious that everything you said is a LIE.

Typical shill post from an incompetent and/or fake debt collector.

Let me start of by saying that I do not work for the company, nor have I ever worked for a debt collector. However, I have incurred some debt [in my younger years] that I am working to completely pay off, so I have dealt with some very rude and out of line bill collectors! I have had many of the same experiences as referenced above, so I have done my research on most debt collecting companies and this is the first time I felt the need to write "a review" on a website like this. While most of them are complete do***e bags, I thought this company was very pleasant and legitimate, not to mention accommodating; helping me set up (and even changing a previously set up) payment arrangement. I thought they were very nice... at least the two representatives I spoke with, who helped me clear my debt, were.

It is more fun just to not answer, or to answer and give them a hard time. They call for my husband who is deceased and I should just give them dead air, right? I'm not going to spend 44cents postage and the time and trouble. Ha.Ha.

Some lady by the name of Amy called and asked to speak to my husband who is deceased. She just hung up. Who or what are these people?

They Collect for Medical Clinic overdues

They have been calling me for the last few days asking for someone who is not me. I finally called back and spoke to "carol". Told her that this was the wrong number and she apologized and said they would remove my number. - It was quite simple - and no, I don't work for them!

JUST GOT ALL CALL FROM THEM.  THEY DID NOT IDENTIFY WHO THERE WERE.  JUST LEFT VOICE MAIL TO CALL ON URGENT PERSONAL MATTER AND REFER TO A REFERENCE NUMBER.

I CALLED THE NUMBER TO SEE WHO THEY WERE.  AGAIN, THEY DO NOT IDENTIFY THEMSELVES.

Have received several calls in the past few weeks from different girls using only their first name and asking for someone who does not live here. This time I asked her what she wants the person for and she said she takes care of personal business for them.

They call my cell phone with the 800 number but i was told of the womens name which was pam and that it was a business matter and it's needs a prompt call back
