Continuously calls and leaves no message

I got a txt from this "980-19" telling me to call "800-260-8741" to claim 1000 FREE music downloads. I txt back "stop" and received a message to call this number for further info. I called and got the super loud fax line in my ear!
Total scam, and even more annoying since I can't block the short code #'s from my carrier.

Received the exact same thing on 10/18/2010 at 11:32am. I did respond with the text: fs stop - and received this message in return to that: you will receive no further messages from us. Questions? Call 866-309-8187. We'll see.

On 10/06/2010 at approximately 2:25PM Eastern time, from (44264) I received the following text on my Phone:
"Official Reward Notice: Call 8002567616 now to claim $200 Gas Vouchers. Keep Game text alert account active.txt fs stop 2 end"
It was time stamped 11:21 AM which leads me to believe that it was originated from CA.
When I called the number back inquiring how they got my phone number, from where, and who they work for, the person with the Indian or Pakistani accent on the other end hung up.
