I also got the same text.  From 98019. Didnt call the number but I am sure this is some attempt to steal info.

I received a text saying to call 8002572524 for $200 Gas Voucher. Came from 44264

I just recd "official reward notice.  call 8002878875 now for important claim information.  Keep music txt act active.txt STOP to end."

I sent a STOP txt msg to them and recvd a response that I will recv no further messages from then.  Then gave another number 8663098187 for questions. hummmmmm

lets see what happens....

It is indeed a SCAM of SPAM!!!

I think its associated to a free ipod or android app that lets you text for free cause it gives you a free phone number so you can text others. Im thinking whoever gets text with the free number or all the contacts in that free app get sold or handed over to the 800 number for spam. Im getting text too saying to call 8002455651 for 200 dollars in free music downloads.

Today I received a text from 98019.  The following is the text of the message:

Official Reward Notice: Call 8002608375 now for 1000 FREE music downloads w/ Gift Code 2325! Keep Game txt alrts active.txt stop 2end.

Just because I don't trust this, I'm not even going to respond, especially after reading some of the posts here that say they will try to ding the mobile account for some charge.

I just got this text except if was for $1000 of music downloads... yay...

I'm not sure if this was sent to my Google Voice or my cell #, but most likely was my cell.  I NEVER give it to anyone that isn't a blood relation.  So I'm certain it's some sort of scam.

I THINK WE ALL NEED TO CALL THE NUMBER ALOT AND GIVE FAKE INFO.  JUST TO TIE UP THERE LINES AND TIME.  SEE HOW THEY LIKE IT.

Keep DsiteQ txt alrt acct active.txt stop 2 end".Looking at the text I am sure it is a scam... where can I put a complain about this...and are these complains ever looked into and the scamsters punished?

Got the $20 Visa one today. What worries me is if they got the number from somewhere or if they're just batch texting cell prefixes.

Got a text from short code 98019 saying I'd won like $20 or whatever. I used to work for a cell company doing customer service and we used to deal with this crap all the time. Short code messages, especially those that are unsolicited are ALWAYS a scam. Usually if you text the word "Stop" you'll stop receiving the messages but I'm wary to do that here as it sounds like you just start getting the messages from another code instead. I'll wait and see if I get another text from the code. If it continues I'll text stop and report the results here.

They have been sued by numerous State Attorneys General to the tune of tens of millions of dollars in fines. Trilegiant's email address "trilegiant@dglaw.com" is associated with about 1, 824 domains. The company recently change names to Affinion Group - their email "hostmaster@affiniongroup.com" is associated with about 1, 826 domains.
If you receive a check from them. Endorsing it will give them permission to tap your checking account for a monthly fee (the permission is in almost illegible faded print on the back of the check).

Please don't call this scam number.  Don't respond with a text either.  They will contact your cell phone provider and ding your account for some amount of money.  There is a law that allows cell providers to act as the collector for any scam that is out there and not be held liable.  Providers get a percentage of the scam so they are not interested in stopping it.  SOMEWHERE in the small print, in a mumbled permission, or whatever, you will give them permission to charge your carrier and will not get it back.

I got the same text. Called the number to see how to stop the text, and apparently all you have to do is reply to the message with "stop". Look up "great fun rip off" on google...its a scam!

I got this same text as you all have described, the $20 gift card, I called the 800-245-5651 number and after going through a few "sales people" got the number 866-309-8187 to call and find out how they got my information and to stop the texts.

I tried the number but they are closed (open 8:15 am to 5:00 pm East coast time). Try it out and see what info you can get.

it's a scam but it ticks me off.  Some of us have to oay for each text message!  Jerks!

I recieved a text today from 98019 that said this but also I got the exact same text yesterday from a (317) area code number. I know (317) is Indianapolis, so yes I believe its spam. P.s I replied STOP to the (317) number and recieved the 98019 text today.

I just got the same text too that I won a $20 gift card and $200 in gas but then the guy that answered my call said a $50.00 walmart card but I had to pay 3.95 in processing fees and wouldnt explain how he got my number

called and got someone with a strong India accent who starting telling me they needed a 1 one processing fee of $2 at which point I hung up
