If you've given out any banking details, yes, you should check with your bank.  It looks like  scam to me.

My parents recieved a phone call, to their house phone, at approximately 8:30am AEST. It was a female, who stated their name was "Melissa Meruhee" from OMNI BORDER TRAVEL. She informed my father, who had picked up the call, that they had won a holiday. My father passed the phone to my mother, "Melissa" told my mum it was from a survey she had filled out. She had my parents names and address and confirmed these with them. She excitedly told my mother to put the phone on speaker, so everyone could hear this amazing holiday they'd won.
She then told the details of the holiday: 6 days/7night at the Radisson in Orlando. 3 days in Fort Lauderdale. Cruise in the Bahamas. 3 days in Vegas.
My mum was suspicious, the call was crystal clear and did not sound like an overseas call.
"Melissa" informed us she would transfer the call to the travel consultant. This guy stated his name was "Charlie". He was also overly excited about this trip my parents had "won". Asking "do you know who you'll take? What about your kids, what are their names?". My mum, still suspicious, asked if it was a scam. "Charlie" laughs this off, stating, "do you think we would spend $1.85 per minute on an overseas call if this was a scam?".
Further details were discussed, he provided a phone number (001117279409452) and website (www.omnifloridatravel.com) and said a confirmation email would be sent through after their conversation. "Charlie" informs my parents there is a $299 per person cost, for taxes. He asks my mum which credit card she would use a MasterCard or visa. My mum told him which. He asked for the expiry date, my mum was hesitant and began to say no she won't do that. She'll wait for the confirmation email and call back. "Charlie" said no, it was a one time offer. My mum refused again and "Charlie" hung up.
My parents are lucky they refused because after hanging up I, their daughter (who had heard most of it), proceeded to get on the Internet and research it-- discovering it was a scam and others had fallen victim to it.
These people were very convincing, and sneakily calling early on, waking my parents up, overwhelming them when they were still hazy. People shouldn't get away with this.

To add an extra name to the list.
All Seasons Holidays
ASTAR
All Seasons Travel
Sunshine Resort Travel
Omni Florida Holidays *
My wife dealt with Omni* and their automated return email still had their last company name of "All Seasons".
Upon the bank transaction details it was stated as "Sunshine Resort Travel"
Thus leaving a number of clues to their untidy business.

I was silly and ended up giving them my cc details (script read pretty much exactly as above) from Sunshine Resort Travel.. spoke to Sean Mask #3028, Huey Haynes #79877033 and some woman... they went over the information multiple times... they talked about the $798US and I had 18 months to book (which I assumed would be paid when I decided to book in).

I told them about my hesitation of giving my credit card detail over the phone and he wasn't too pushy but said they sent me emails and to check out the website and gave me their address (4104 Linebaugh Ave Tampa Florida 33624) and phone number (0018139154055) and if they wanted to scam someone they would be calling someone in there own country and something about not offering holidays (and I thought in my head yes that's how you suck people in!) and said how it costs $3 a minute to make the international call and something about having a partnership with VISA and MCD for over 20 years.

Then the woman made some comment very quickly about how my card would be charged today and I said hang on what is it getting charged for? And she said "yes charged" and kept talking and it took me a bit to interrupt her to say no can you repeat that what am I getting charged for? and she said the $798US and I said no one told me that was to be taken out today!? I don't have the money to do that and she said well he did confirm with you, you must of misunderstood and I said no they told me about the payment and that I would have 18 months to pay but not that I had to pay today I can't afford that. I need to cancel it.. and she said oh but it's gone through and been approved (which actually would have gone over my cc limit) by now I was in panick mode and on the verge of tears just saying cancel it! Then I asked for an email confirmation and she said oh well you'll just see it in your bank account that it's not been charged..

so as soon as I got off the phone I rang my bank who said they couldn't stop the transaction because I'd given out my credit card number but he checked it up and said ooh yeah there's $800 something dollars that's been taken out about 7 minutes ago but it's been declined so I still had the original money left in there (so I think the company did actually cancel it themselves). And he said we could put a block on the credit card if I thought it was a scam (but I need my credit card to live off!) and by that stage I still thought it could have been legit and said I'll just keep an eye on it over the next few days...

I did end up receiving an email from the company saying my package had been cancelled.. but I'm still a bit worried they have my details..But I know my bank is really good at keeping on top of situations like that.
I would be interested to hear if anyone actually went through with it? I'm just glad they refunded my money then and there and didn't turn into a massive issue.

I thought about emailing the company myself but I'm not sure is it someone pretending to be them or is it them that are doing the scamming?!

Prank Call
Just got off the phone from them.  Tried to tell me that I had approved them to take USD$798 from my credit card.  Round in circles we went and I re-iterated that at no point did I approve this.  When they realized I was not going to follow try, became quite aggressive and said they had clearly told me they would deduct the money today.  This simply is NOT true.

They talk ten to the dozen to try and confuse you.

NOT IMPRESSED!

I have taken steps to get our money back I told them I would contact the police. Today I received a call from our bank the money has been returned to our visa we payed for it on  the 17 aug a month ago they said it would take 5 to ten days. I paid $ 690 the money exchange was $ 70 and a $  20 fee.  Thank you to our bank Heritage Building Society home place Toowoomba QLD  Australia. Heritage all so waved  the money exchange fee. They said you are free of  the fees' i. cant believe it. These men are'' good they say how lucky you are in winning this trip  they kept me on the phone for a hour. when we tried to get the money they keep me on the phone for another hour. I told them I would  report. them I thought we had lost our money.  I believed
they were ok because they asked for my husband by name and he  had entered a trip  when we were at a cruise  day, How many people are being caught.

I am sorry to say I was very silly and believed them as my husband had filled in a form at travel cruise day. they knew him by name so I stayed on the phone thinking this is a good deal I paid 690 dollars. I am a old age pensioner and that is a lot of money for us we are both in our 70. we thought over the weekend we cant afford that.  I asked to have the money back and had a fight on the phone for I hour they said ok we will credit it back to your credit card it would take 5 to 10 days to go thru.  It has been over 2 weeks and I  have been ringing and emailing and cant get a answer from them, I guess we have learned a good lesson.  you should never put your name down to win a holiday at a travel show.

Called my 82 year old father and told him he had won a trip to the bahamas and asked for his credit card. Before I even knew about it $900 had been withdrawn from my father's account. I am my father's power of attorney and have notified authorities.
