Got a charge on my bank account of  $19.80 for AD&D. Called the number and using the information from one of the messages above I was able to cancel the policy on my wife that neither of us asked for. What a scam.

Andrea, look up0 my post and do what I and Zendahl suggest. Call the 800 number, enter the 9 digit code, select cancel and talk to the agent. It was an easy process for me. I knew about the charge and simply wanted to cancel my policy. Maybe your mom inadvertently replied to a mailing or something. Be sure and check with her. Good luck.

For me, I did not receive a call. This is a number from my bank statement for a debit for an AD&D policy I bought 10 - 15 years ago in Denver, through Wells Fargo. As suggested in other posts, I called the number from my bank statement, entered the 9 digit # from my bank statement and spoke to an agent. She updated my info and, after a couple of questions and suggesting I continue the coverage, she cancelled my account. It all went smoothly. I can't speak about the other apparently nefarious actions, such as signing people up when they did not request it. I received a mailing from Wells Fargo and sent in the form to start the coverage (like I said, 10 - 15 years ago.) So it all went pretty well for me.

We found these mystery charges on my 89 year old grand morher's account. One was HAP for $15 a month and another was AD&D for $37.12. I am not sure how an 89 year old woman would use and accidental death policy. Thank you to the information that you all have shared on this site we are going to cancel these policies. It's awful that there seems to be no way to get any of this money back. I did ask the agent what the name of this company and it is called, "Affinion Benifits Group Third Party Administration for Wells Fargo".

I have been charged $5.50 on my banking statement. It is described as 75103 4944 121002
at 1-800-265-4396. What is this all about and how do I put an end to it. I also have been receiving
calls on my cell phone from 1-828754-1242 and 360-460-5570 and I never give out my cell #.

I DID NOT RECEIVE A CALL BUT WELLS FARGO WENT DIRECTLY TO MY ACCOUNT AND CHARGED IT $49.50.  I IMMEDIATELY NOTICED THE CHARGE AND WROTE THEM AND E-MAIL ASKING WHAT THIS CHARGE WAS?  I HAD TO DO THIS THREE TIMES AND EACH TIME ALL THEY DID WAS PUT IN A DISPUTE BUT REFUSED TO TELL ME WHAT THIS CHARGE WAS.

WHEN WACHOVIA CHANGED TO WELLS FARGE THEY SENT ME A FREE YEAR OF INSURANCE THROUGH THERE COMPANY FROM MINNESOTA LIFE INSURANCE  FOR $1,000.00.  

I DID NOT AT ANY TIME SINE A CONTRACT TO BE BILLED OUT OF MY ACCOUT.  AT THIS POINT I AM DAZED AND CONFUSED AND AM NOT, I REPEAT, NOT HAPPY WILL WELLS FARGE.

I called Wells Fargo 3x today to finally have some action. I filed a claim against this automatic deduction, I had no idea this has been going on until I saw it today,  I didnt catch this $18.15 debit each month. Wells Fargo put a stop payment today and will look into it. However earlier a Rep from Wells Fargo said to call the 800# that was referenced HAP 800.... but of course they are closed and it doesnt Identify who you are calling..I am glad I persisted and kept calling Wells Fargo..My advice is to call your bank and put a claim against this action.

AD&D stands for accidental death and dismemberment... it is a life insurance policy through wells fargo

I just noticed my charges and called wellsfargo too, same result- they put a stop payment and started blah blah...
Is there a way we can rally up and take WellsFargo to court for this???

I never sign any contract for AD@D! I want to cancel any trial version or what ever, that NO any insurance company take a money from my account! They took $49.5 this month!

I started looking over my statements for the last two years and found out every 3 months they take out
$24.75, this was over $180 total. I know wellsfargo must be aware of this why don't they protect their customers. Company is sneaky about their name and location.
I will contact my bank tomorrow and see about changing banks.

The phone number is 1-800-265-4396, your account number is a 9 digit number you can see right after the WF*ABGADD INS in the description box of your online statement at wellsfargo.com. It looks like this complete, WF*ABGADD756879468NOVT800, i changed those numbers by the way, not my real account number. I just called and chose the cancel option and was transferred to a real person who was very helpful and cancelled my policy and promised to send a cancellation letter in the mail. i actually did sign up for this on a free trail period and just kept it due to my laziness and it low cost 16.50/quarter. If you see this and do not want coverage call the above number.

supposed to be insurance premium besides the free you get.. Mine is 16.50 a quarter for 30,000 added. Same company wachovia has the 1000. free from. Sent a paper, I signed and they told me exactly when the money would be taken and how much

I have had $1.65 out of my Wells Fargo I need to know what it is for as  I am changing accout numbers if they are good in what insurance they have need a phone number to correct account

I also received a debit to my checking account in the amount of $16.50 for ADD Insurance. I will not have to worry about them debiting my account anymore; I am closing all my checking & savings accounts tomorrow as well as cancelling all credit cards from Wachovia and Wells Fargo. I would recommend the same to others, as these banks will find other creative ways to hit their customers with fees.

These crooks are an affiliate of Wells Fargo. I signed up for an insurance through Wells Fargo may years ago. My account was being charged $1.65 a month for longer than I can remember. I called Wells Fargo a couple of years ago and told them I'm not interested anymore. It stopped for six months and came back. It's so small, I haven't been paying attention to it - I guess part of their strategy. When I called today and asked WF to stop it, they want to charge me $30 for a six-month stoppage! Only after threatening to close all my accounts did she offer to waive it.

I called the 800-number and someone picked up. I have been assured that it has been cancelled. We will see. I'm so disgusted with Wells Fargo right now, there's a very high likelihood that I'll move to a different bank altogether!

I enrolled when I was dropped off my parent's insurance but missed the college enrollment. It took almost 6 months before I started getting charged for it. I hope it doesn't take 6 months to discontinue.

I also got charged $18.15, but Wells Fargo didn't know who is the company. They gave me the phone nr. 800-265-4396. Wells Fargo told me that it must be a subscription, which I have no idea for what. So I gave them the order to cancel my "authorization". Is this a new trick from Wells Fargo to get some cash?

I received a charge on my Wells Fargo Visa card in the amount of $16.50. I never requested "ADD Insurance" from anyone. Called the 800-265-4396 number and never spoke to a person. I just contacted the Wells Fargo dispute resolution office at 800-390-0533 to report it and have them handle it. Im hoping for a credit for the amount charged.
Isnt there a law preventing companies from assuming you want something and then charging you for it without your consent?

Even my bank account was debited twice $24.75 for AD & D insurance. Upon calling the 800 number provided on the bank statement, they told me that I have signed up for the AD&D insurance for quarterly payment. I have argued that I never signed up like any thing. They said we are affiliated insurance company from Wellsfargo, and it is Affinium insurance company... I asked them to return my money.. They said it will be refunded with in 5 to 7 business days... Will post you once, I received the amount.

theses people said my wife signed up for it. Thats kinda strange she is in long term care and has been that way for several months, then they said she called and I just wonder how the hell she pulled her trek out and called she hasnt talked for 4 months. Ok. so I called Weels Fargo and they said that this is not how they do thier insurance. They put a stop payment on this and refunded the money. The company also refunded the money so I had to be careful that I kept the money Wells Fargo payed in my acount because when they realized that the company payed the money back they took thier payment back. They told me before hand that that would happen though so I was prepared. The stop payment also kept them from taking any future payments from my acount. The man that I talked to from Wells Fargo was under the impression that this company (whatever it is) got my account number when I payed for something on line. The good news is I got my money back; the bad news is that I now have to watch my acount closely to ensure nothing else funny happens. Also in order to start the investigation you have to agree to testify in court against the company if they are brought up on charges. so far I haven't heard anything about that, but I'll let you all know.
