We have been getting calls for my mother for the past 3 days;they call about 5 times a day and I finally got fed up and answered last night. I have told them my mother works all week and asked who it was. They did not want to speak with me(even though I'm an adult)and refused to leave a message because "they needed to speak with her directly." It involved Mastercard.

My personal advice, when contacted by a telemarketer don't just hang up or simply tell them you're not interested, make sure to ask for and note company's name, representative's name, extension or some form of unique identification number. Then directly and expressly request to be placed on their internal DNCL and DNCLs of all their partner and mother organizations. All organizations except for market research firms are required to comply with your request by law, and if they don't ? complain via channels listed above! CRTC can levy penalties of up to $1,500 for an individual and up to $15,000 for a corporation, for each violation, so hit them where it hurts.

We have been receiving 5-6 calls daily for several weeks now from early morning into the evening even on weekends. Yesterday the calls continued but with a difference, Between 7 PM and 7:55 PM we received 6 calls. No one is ever there but we can hear many voices in the background. We do not have a Citibank Mastercard.
6 calls in one afternoon 3 this evening have not answered as they have not left a message. is this a scam ???
They call me all the time, 3 times this morning, while I was trying to sleep. When I finish work at 6:00, I really don't want 3 phone calls between 8 and 10! Can't turn my phone off either, in case I get an emergency call from work! I know I owe money, but hell, I'm paying every week!
They called every couple of minutes every day. From 8 am to 9 pm, the longest they waited before calling again between calls was 20 minutes. They got me let go from my job, this was after I told them not to call me on my cell call me at home. They said they dont care they cost me my job now pay. I was paying every month till they got me fired. They are not a good company nor someone you want to deal with. Never give your cell number to them.
they are calling me saying it is progressive
I get lots of calls from this number. I finally called them back and was told it was City Cards Canada. The lady i spoke to said it was in regards to City Bank's Mastercard. She would not say why they were calling me and asked me for my phone number, Needless to say i did not give it to her.
It is Citi Cards Canada. They phoned my house 2x but the first call was a representative with CitiBank. When the 2nd call came through I answered and they hung up. When I phoned immediately about 2nd call a gentlemen answered the call he explained that they have a automated call back so the 2nd call was on their part cancelling the call. The gentlemen explained to me in detail that it was their mistake on the 2nd call on weekends they do have certain business hours in Ontario after 3pm where the calls won't be dialed after hours. They do have certain call days during the weekdays between 8 am to 10 pm EST.

This number calls multiple times a day and night without leaving a message. It is getting quite annoying!

I got a call today from Citi Bank from 1-800-265-7805.
No message, so I called back. The guy who answered was very nice to me. Actually I WISH all reps were this nice, police, respectful and funny.
Yes, my card was past due in payment. The weird thing was that I made a payment just yesterday to bring balance to $0.00
So I told him. He made a note on the account and said that it takes about a day for the phone # to be taken off the list. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience. I never would have thought I would say this about any credit card company rep.

These people are total idiots. I make my payment every month, maybe a day late if pay period falls that way. I swear they call you before you are even due, and whenyou answer, there isn't anyone there. I found out they use automated calling and take their dear sweet time getting on the line with you. What a waste of cell minutes, won't answer that number again, can't wait to pay them off so I can tell them where to go!
This number is continually calling my work number? I have no idea why or how they got this number... I do not even have a credit card with them...

yes it is citi mastercard credit division. the reason why there is no message is it is an automated phone call where an operator picks up once the call is answered.
i ignore it too as they always call right after i recieve my bill via email... i am never late on payment so i tire of the harassment
Are there any other solutions to block this number? the DO NOT CALL list, UNLISTED and blocking do not seem to work for these guys.

Same here, they have called every day at every time and never EVER leave a message, sometimes it rings as a long distance call - one long two short (in Saskatchewan) and sometimes as a local call - one ring. I will not answer a call that has phoned me over 100 times the past few months, if I supposedly owe you money, just leave me a message to call you back. I have two cards from citibank, a Peoples Jewelry one that no longer even exists as Peoples cancelled thier contract with I presume and The Brick, which is in good standing. The Peoples card has never sent me a letter to say it has to be paid off or anything so I just keep making my monthly payments as they ask. So unless its my wife's issues I have no reason to give a crap!!

i called the number back and found out who it was. they call at 11pm and 7am. like im going to answer anyway something should be done about the hurassment
