Guy says he's from "Medco" handling prescription drug plans for UPMC(?), or somebody. Asked me if I had a few moments, I said no. He said, "No?!?" I hung up. Caller ID shows unavailable; off to file a complaint.

Get half a message, with option to push 1 to speak to a live operator, push 2 to "not call." Try to call number back when I see message, and it says it's not a working number or not available from my calling area! Using my air time minutes! Don't want robo calls.

Called asked for me. They said they were from Medco. Then they ask for my DOB and SSN. I refused and hung up. Tried calling back # It said that it was not available in our calling area. This has happened a few times. It has also said that # is no longer in service.

My wife and I have been getting telephone calls from 800-268-5705 every 2 hours for the last four days (i.e., since 9-28-9). On one of them they hung up as I answered. Just now a robot-sounding voice asked if it could speak with me. I said "no" and hung up.
I called Medco and Tina acknowledged that Medco wanted to know, if I want to get 3 months of my meds mailed to me. I explained that none of my 3 doctors are ever going to fill out Medco's fax forms and fax over to Medco.
I have told Medco this in writing several times in the last 4 years.
Bottom line, Medco promises to remove my name from their 800-268-5705 call list.

I've been getting numerous calls from this number over the course of many months.  At first the number displayed would only include 1-800-268-570.  Only within the past couple of days has it displayed the full number.  The funny thing about this is that my phone would ring for half a ring then stop so it didn't even give me a chance to answer.  I read the posts above and called the 800-268-5707 number to confirm that it was indeed Medco and the rep that answered (Janet) said that it was indeed their company calling to see if I was interested in signing up for mail delivery.  I explained to her the funny way the phone would ring then hang up and she said that she didn't understand why that would happen but would remove my name from the list so I shouldn't be receiving any calls or written communication from them again.  Let's see if it works.

never get your medications from a mail order service. I do pharmacy work for a large closed-door pharmacy and all day I hear mail order meds are lost and the patient has to pay out of pocket to get them at a local pharmacy.I am in walking distance of 3 pharmacies why would I wait 2 weeks for a prescription to come through the mail?

Just called them after four calls today. Yup, I had to go to the 5707 number. I spoke to a supervisor. He couldn't believe that I was getting calls without having an account with them. I told him to google the phone number to see that I am not the only one getting harassed by their company. This all seemed to be news to him.

Got 3 unsoliciated phone calls in one day. Finally spoke to a live speaking person, immediatley asked for date of birth and all my meds. I refused to give info and hung up. Tried calling back and got a recorded anouncement that number was not in service. Called Medco and they said number did not belong to them. Said to call my local phone company and see who number belongs to. Called AT& T, the number does belong to MEDCO. Called the 800-268-5707 number and demanded that they take me off their list. Told them one more phone call and I am filing police report.

Thanks a million to whomever posted that you can call MEDCO at 800-268-5707 and speak to a human (only a 1 minute wait) whenever you get a call from 800-268-5705 and it says "UNAVAILABLE" on the caller ID. I informed the woman that I rarely answer an 800 number call when it says UNAVAILABLE, and if this is a legitimate call from MEDCO, why don't they have MEDCO instead of UNAVAILABLE? She didn't know why. She asked for name and birthday so she could look up the reason for the call. (She also asked if I use MEDCO, and I asked if that was part of PPO Blue, she said yes. Now, drum roll please! The reason for them calling?!? They just wanted to tell me that I can get a 90 day supply for some of my prescriptions, through mail order, rather than getting a 30 day supply through the pharmacy. After reading through most of the other posts above, I've concluded that MEDCO is making hundreds of unanswered calls, to simply tell people that they can save two monthly trips to the pharmacy. I told the woman that the doctor writes them for 30 days (he said sometimes the insurance will kick it back because they only want o pay for 30 day supply, which makes sense anyway). I told her to take my phone number out of her system, and mail me stuff in the future.

6 calls in 3 days.  No message left.  Tried to call the number, not taking calls. I answered on the 7th call.  Caller says he works for Medco.  He immediately asked to "verify my identity"  (he called me, remember) and asked for my SS number and other personal info.  I told him to forget it.  I called Medco, they say they keep a log of outgoing calls and this is not theirs.  Scammer, making phishing calls to grab your personal info.  Beware.

1-800-268-5705 Calls my business over a dozen times a day. This is very annoying, especially when I am meeting with potential customers. When I answer, there is no one there. In addition, I call the number back and receive a recording stating that I dialed an incorrect number and to check the number again. I am fed up with these phantom calls. Contacted my phone company and they directed me to ways I can find out who is responsible and take action against them. I am losing business due to these calls. They need to stop now!

It is indeed MEDCO.

THey will take you off the automated dialing system if you call the 1-800-268-5707 number which is only different in the last digit from the CID number that appears on the unsolicited call.  I think that I attempted this once before so the block may only be temporary as far as MEDCO is concerned or, perhaps, until a new contract number is issued by your insurer.  The live customer service person I eventually talked to was very polite and promised to remove me from the system.

Called 5 times in one day.  Decided to answer, but when I did, no one said anything so I hung up.  Continues to call and nothing I have tried seems to make them stop!  Tried several avenues, but to no avail.  Cannot even trace the number back to anyone so I can contact to complain.  Is this a telemarketer?

If you have MedCo through your insurance, they are trying to call you. Just pick up and tell them you don't want to be called. They will have to "hand write" a note to their manager.
