I noticed a charge for 49.94 on my bank statement and called my bank because I didn't know what it was.  They said it was a talent service and they gave the phone number to call regarding it (1800-270-7138).  I remember paying the "one-time" 1.95 fee but they never said anything about paying 49.95 per month.  So I called Hollywood Talent or whatever it's called and told them to cancel my account and give me a refund.  They did cancel my account but wouldn't refund me.  Don't sign up for this if you don't want to end up paying 50 dollars per month to these people...

my situation is different. I noticed the 49.95 charge and called my credit card company. they put a dispute on the charge and the 1.95 charge that occurred two weeks ago. I then called  800-270-7138 and Kenny 0290 told me that the charge was in my name but with my old address and phone number (from 3 months ago). I think a card thief was testing my card for a juicier payoff down the road (if I didn't notice the extra action). Hollywood said they would issue the refund in 7-10 days and cancel the account. Maybe they are a stolen card portal???

I just reported them to CNN and other news stations that have watch dog programs.  They hit us twice on the same day for $49.95 and also refused to relinquish any funds back to us and just tried to get us service info.  they are true internet thieves and need be stopped.  We didn't sign up for anything at all and got hit.

At times it would not show up on my account..well the name of it. I called and spoke to them and they could only give me 4 months back and that was after i talked to a supervisor!

Thanks to this company i felt like i was going crazy and started to take finacial classes because i thought i was doing something wrong. well i did..and that was calling them!

I received an e-mail just like everyone else, and when the $49.95 charges started to appear on my credit card, I called the phone # on my statement and got ahold of someone named Daniel after about 30 minutes on hold.  I requested my "membership" be cancelled back in July and he gave me a cancellation confirmation #, but the charges have continued to appear on the last 2 months bills.  Help.

I have also been a victim of Talent Hold SVC. They have charged my cazd 4 times now for the amount of $49.95 for some inmformation I purchased for $1.95 - which I never received. This number is the one my credit card company shows as the contact number for the charge but they never answer the phone. The answering machine says that you are the 12th, or 19th or 10th caller and then they give you a count down. When you get to the second caller the phone goes dead.

Some new information about this.

I went to Google Earth to take a look at the address. It showed a Quizno's right next door. I called Quizno's and I was the third caller that had asked the same question: what is next door? what is that parking lot? where is Hollywood profiles? The person at Quizno's said it was at 8721 Sunset Blvd, not Santa Monica Blvd. He said a lady came by just the other day looking, too.

This may show intent to deceive being that the address at the website is fraudulent.

We have to get these criminals. HOLLYWOOD PROFILES MY A**!

We should be contacting some federal or state fraud watchdog about this. Imagine the bundle these scoundrels and slimeballs are making. There are probably thousands of people who thought they were paying $1.95 out of curiosity. Junk mail can cost us!

If anyone is interested in making a group complaint, maybe we can come up with something. Maybe one of you knows a good lawyer. And because I don't check my bank statements much, I may have been charged previously. I had better check! My wife found this when I asked her if anything questionable was on it. 50 bucks! Times thousands!

The lesson is this I guess. Stick to known retailers.

I just found the charge, too. I too, remember signing up for $1.95.

I immediately cancelled my card. New one coming. Screwed! I think we can make complaints to our credit card company according to my bank. I will do that.

I received this charge as well. I just called and didn't wait very long. But when the representative answered, they didn't say the name of the company or anything. I asked to cancel the charges and all they asked for was my first and last name and said it was canceled. It was suspiciously easy to "cancel". We'll see if the charged continue. But there was absolutely nothing professional about their support center.

I seem to have different problems but from the same origin.

I signed up to some casting call thing way long ago. The deal was I would get put on the list for local area applications.

There was a larger intial charge and then the rest of the deal was to recieve the money back if i wasn't casted as a role within 90 days.

All of the castings available were in Las Vegas, I'm in Reno. 400 miles isn't local

Too long of a drive to try casting for a menial part and low wage.

Obviously that plan failed, and now i'm being charged 49.80 continously from named accounts that keep changing. (Entertainment, Talenthold, Talentservices)

plues there is a 21$ finance charge.. no idea what that's from.

The number showed up on my credit card statement too. I remember the rip-off I felt when I saw right after signing up for this thing which was acting parts in Jacksonville, Fl - just 60 miles away - and then getting an e-mail or being notified some other way I was being charged a whole lot more.
According to my credit card company it was $39.90.
I got a call and I never answered it because I felt a bit overawed at the acting deal and the 60 miles and I didn't want to get any further involved. I thought maybe the big bucks wouldn't be charged if I didn't answer the phone.
I was wrong and I just noticed they charged again, this time $49.95.
That was last month.
I haven't called the number but I have filled out a complaint to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services about the charges.
On my card it says first, TalentHold and then the next month it's called Talent Services. Talent Services is the number above. TalentHold had a different phone number, 800-308-1096.
I'm unemployed and I was just dreaming. The Hippodrome State Theater is located near me and it was natural for me to think about it, but I didn't expect to get ripped off like this. They could have told me they would be charging more, they could have e-mailed to see if I wanted to go further with this or cancel it. It's just a greedy money making venture if you ask me, not anything professional.

Same thing happened to me, and I am not happy about it. They said they'd give me a 30 day free trial now but they can't refund me because it's the computer billing and they supposedly can't do anything about it.

I made the initial contact and saw the $1.95 charge and the charge after I clicked to confirm was over $40! There is something within the sight that is either pre-selected or some how selected by the interested party that makes an upgrade request to "Diamond". What a scam. Stay away from this crap. I am in pursuit of all my money back and have had it charged to me three times now even after my cancellations!
