For awhile the calls had stopped but now the Professional Bureau of Collections is calling every day at all different
times. I have asked to be removed from their list to no avail and continue to receive calls or when I call back I get hung up on!
Please STOP calling~ I am on the DNC registry and should not be receiving calls from harassing debt collectors.

This number called my job & left an extension & a person's name for me to get in touch with.  I was off, & so I received a note upon arrival to work this morning.

I became so fed-up, that I started a search on the internet for some information that I'm sure will help you. Go to your PC, Laptop, etc. type in Federal Trade Commission do not call registry...follow all the instructions and the calls will stop. It is against the law to harass people for unsubstantiated
debts. if any of your creditors try and contact you...then you have the right to take them to court where you can usually win $1,000.000 or more for the harassment. A lot of people don't know this...but the  Federal Trade Commission does.

STOP calling everyone in the phone book with the same last name as I am refiling a 3rd complaint with the FTC!!

Received a call from the Professional Bureau of Collections on my cell phone even though the number is on the DNC Registry.  I have no outstanding debt and they are randomly searching telephone numbers to try & connect with the right person. I have the right to take them to court where I could win $1,000.000 or more for the harassment. A lot of people don't know this...but the  Federal Trade Commission does...therefore please STOP the calls immediately!

The DNC does not cover debt collectors..  The proper authority's to report to is the FTC, CFB and your state Attorney General (and theirs).

Got a call the other day and do not answer calls from 800 numbers or unknown number or blocked numbers. When I   checked the number it was Professional Bureau of Collections.  Since I have no debt i knew it was not intended for me
therefore please stop calling! I have been on the do not call list for years therefore I do not appreciate getting these
types of calls. If the calls do not stop, I will be reporting them to the authorities to handle.

I was called by this organization multiple times, twice in 1 day, from each of these numbers: 8002709685 and 7202000326.
They did not leave any msg. I called each number back and got the same person/org. First time they asked me if I knew a person; I did not. I asked them to remove my name from their call list. They agreed not to call again and apologized for the inconvenience. We'll see. Pretty annoying overall.

Keep calling and leaving messages for folks that do not live here.  Will not take "they don't live here" for an answer.

Got a call the other day and then again today.  Answered and it was Professional Bureau of Collections.  Since I have no debt i knew it was not intended for me.  I called back and spoke with a Mr. Jefferson.  He said that he was looking for a lady by the name of Jennifer Brooklyn.  I told him that he had the wrong number and asked him to remove my phone number from the list.  He was very pleasant to deal with and said he would do so.  So we will see if they actually do remove my number.

Called my cell today and I did not answer and they did not leave a message, If I don't know the number I don't answer.

I they are calling your cell phone, you can download an app called Mr.Number and block any calls from anyone OR send them straight to VM. I just block these calls and they auto hang up on them so I don't even have to deal with their VMs.

Yes, you DO have both privacy and Legal Rights. Which that idiot of a collector was either willfully ignorant of or intentionally in violation of the law. It does not make a hill of beans difference where a collection agency's collector or its legal department is making the call----"if you tell them NOT to call your job-----" By LAW...they can not call your job!...Its best, however to put that (not a request) but a demand...in writing and send it via certified mail...That will put an end to that. Scam, scam, scam!!!  Please do not fall for this. These people think that since they have your information you'll fall for this.  they could have gotten your info in a number of ways.  If you have every applied for a payday loan, remember how they say we will find a lender that will lender to you.  Well they actually do a search for lenders that have registered with them.  Then they send all of your info out to all those registered lenders and see who will bite. I believe these people are set up as a bogus lender, just there to get your info.  Then they simple run the scam, by saying you borrowed money a couple years ago... knowing most people may have forgotten that far back and may have let something slip.

Do fall for this.  If you are being served papers, NO ONE WILL CALL YOU TO LET YOU KNOW!!  You could just simply avoid them and they don't want that.  Always look the phone number or company up on line and never agree to pay them anything.

This number has been calling my cell phone which is very odd. Reason being is 1.) its a pre-paid phone that I only use to travel, and I do not have any reason a collection agency would be calling me, I have settled all my debt years ago and none ofmy bills are in my name or have this number attached.. They are harassing me calling me 17 times today alone.. I answered once and they hung up.. I will not answer them and will be reporting them as mentioned earlier. We will see what happens..

They called me on my cell phone...not sure how they got it.  I hung up w/o answering.  Natl Debt Collectors of Maryland.  Next thing I know our house phone rings from 1-855-880-6085 (Monarch Recovery?).  Have no idea who these people are.  We haven't any delinquent debts....

I called Belk's about my closed account, I was asking for a settlement so the account would be "paid in full'  First red light, when I asked them to fax me a letter of agreement, I was told that their 'administration" dept had left for the evening. I cannot believe the so call "manager" could not fax me a copy of the settlement , 2nd red flag-they are wanting me to send payment Western Union and they said that our agreement was for one day only.  I DO NOT feel comfortable giving them my checking acct info and when I told them that I would take their faxed settlement letter and research them through my bank b4 I would send them payment, they told me that if they didn't receive payment by 3:30 PM tomorrow, the settlement would no longer be valid.  I expressed my concern with their rush for payment, rep(MsAmado) insisted that I was refusing to pay and I was insisting to her that she seemed very suspicious!!  IF you are a legit company and a consumer calls you seeking a settlement, but you refuse to allow the consumer ample time to protect themselves, then your company is a scam!!  I honestly cannot believe that Belk's would sell their accounts to vultures like this company.  They DID NOT provide any type of address to mail payment, I have not received any type of literature from them pertaining to this account.  I actually do not believe they are a valid company and when I contact them tomorrow, not only will the settled amount we agreed upon no longer be valid, they might not get one red9copper) penny from me!!! The names they used were Tiana Insley(rep in training) and Ms Amado(management)

These people just called me this late at night with a tv and baby crying in the background.Needless to say I hung up.

I just got a call from this place.I know I owe some bills , But when you have been unemployed for the past several months and still can not a find  job and so you can not pay

Today topped my anger list. Carol was so rude and kept interrupting me. First and foremost this concerns a bill from Roamans I paid off in Sept. 09. I was angry with them when I called and paid it off. I asked them if the total owed was correct 3 times. Then in November 09 I got a bill from Roamans for $34 (about) they said was for an order they said I received in Oct. 09. This was in dispute for several years as they had no proof of the purchase nor delivery. I had not ordered anything from them after the pay off, in fact the credit account I had was closed in Sept. 09. Finally after many collection agencies calling Roamans wrote off the account which had gone to over $280 for interest during the dispute.
Carol would not let me talk, denied the write off and they fact that they are a fraudulent company. I have researched them before and they are not legal. I told her to remove my phone number. If they call again I will take all of the legal measures posted above.  
This hassle has destroyed my credit.

Contact Federal Trade Commission do not call registry all the call will stop! But you must follow all the directions. I sent you a long message that is even better...really hope this message helps you and others.

They just called my cell.  I didn't answer, but they left a voice mail asking for Jessica Walsh.  Don't know her.  I have had other numbers call my home phone asking for the same person.  I will also block the number.

AUTOMATED MESSAGE FROM THIS NUMBER TO MY WORK NUMBER.  AUTOMATED VOICE SAYS TO CALL 800-270-9685 BUT DOES NOT SAY WHO, WHAT OR WHY.  I'M NOT CALLING THIS NUMBER BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHO IS CALLING ME.

These people call every day.  Wish they'd give it up.  I don't owe anyone any money and have never had any bills turned over to a collection agency.

These people actually called MY NEIGHBOR! looking for my son!  They don't even know each other.  They told my neighbor they were calling about a legal matter (yeah, right.)  They must have looked up my neighbors online.  That is just going way too far out of line.  Of course I'm not calling them back!
