I too have worked for a collection agency , and know what the process is.. they called looking for my wife, I sd I was the husband and without verifying anything the divulged everything, Bill, amount , what it was for.. they were no means rude but we both know that is a lawsuit if I was to decide to go forward. I wont do so but maybe u should inform the managers to do a better job. Or train the collector's better.. its the difference between a 5000 dollar month and a 20000 dollar month..

Debt Collector
A woman from Diversified Adj. called my office today trying to collect on some 3 year old bogus Verizon bill, which I did not pay because services were never rendered by Verizon,..... I have long since disputed this bill with Verizon and another collection company and thought this was a dead subject two years ago,..... but now this has apparently passed it along to Diversified.
The woman at Diversified was totally unprofessional, became rude, and lost it, went into a rage and hung up on me...
like I need this insanity at 2:30 PM in the middle of my worked day.
Seriously it sounded like she was on drugs.

You would complain because you ran up bills that you cannot pay?  No one should contact you because you just don't have the money and never will?  Pay your bills and maybe people will leave you alone.  Be accountable for your actions and don't blame people for trying to get their money back.

They've called several times and said they were looking for Mickey Mouse. It was a real person on the phone. I don't owe any debt, so of course find this highly suspicious.

ACTUALLY, if it's outside the statute of limitations it means they CAN'T take you to court. You're still liable, but they can't take you to court.

I received a letter with phone number: 1800-504-8612 notifying me that my postdated check , for $50.00 would be deposited on 5/1/12, which has occurred this month, May 2012.  Now, I had to call my bank to inform them that my statement states "check"...no information, or number of the check...more important, receipt as to whom the $50 went to. I had to call my bank, must pay to obtain a copy of that check.  If I want a copy I must pay $5.  I find that all of us must definitely write to the Attorney General of our state, provide links of these complaints, provide a simple but clear and concise complaint to his/her office, and copies of the monies paid, i.e. copies from our bank statements, copies of letters from Diversified Adjustment Service, Inc.  These can be attachments when scanned, copied as links, PrtSc Sys Req key on our keyboard...as attachments.

They were calling me 2 and 3 times a day, daily.

I got fed up and sued them.  I got a lawyer on contingency and, though the debt is paid, I sued them.  I told them not to call me every time they called, yet they would not stop.  I did not have the money to send a certified "cease and desist" letter, so they kept harrassing me!  I got fed up!

Keep a record of their calls.  The best way is via a cellphone, since providers keep record of incoming calls and you can get records from the provider as to date, time and frequency of the calls.

Check out Lemberg & Associates.  They will help you with these "birds" and with those other collectors who are harrassing you.

Keep good records or change the number they have to call to a cellphone!  EITHER WAY, SUE THEM!  It works.

Diversified Lending debits my account each month for a small business loan that has been sold to several agencies.  They now have it.  Also, I get a bill routinely to pay Sprint.  I already paid and closed my account out with Sprint.  What gives?

I've dealt with several collection agencies the past few months. These guys are awful. I won't participate in the games they like to play (trying to make the situation emotional by making snide remarks, trying to guilt you into paying a bill rather than buying groceries etc.). Their job is to collect money. Their tactics are to play within a hair's breadth of the law, make the situation confrontational so you are making emotional decisions rather than intelligent ones and COLLECT money.
I took a 40% cut in pay three months ago, lost my insurance, had a child that required an expensive major surgery and the company has not paid one dime even though they have taken my premiums and the procedures are clearly covered (They are not denying the claim, they just claim there is no money to PAY the claim). I am working with the attorney general's office in my home state to get this (the unpaid medical bills) sorted out. In the meantime, it's on my back. I don't waste my time talking to rude people who cannot perform basic mathematical functions. I will pay what I owe when I can. I've always paid my bills up to this point and have made arrangements with several medical outfits (who were both respectful and willing to work out a reasonable payment schedule) to clean up the debt.
Those who treat me like a criminal or deadbeat move to the back of the line and I tell them so right up front. If they have a problem with it, they can take me to court because I can only do what I can do.
Don't let it get under your skin and, if you want some real help with your debt management, go to Dave Ramsey's website (daveramsey dot com) and sign up for financial peace university.

I get alot of calls from collection agencies because I lost my job. The people at this agency are MUCH nicer than any of the other collection agencies! They set up a payment plan with me that I could afford and every time I talk to them they treat me like a human being which none of the other agencies do. They are the ONLY agency I send a payment every month like clockwork to because they treat me right. If you tell them your problem they will understand and try to help you.

Apparently you people who 'work' there need to check with some of your idiot coworkers.  You can never speak to a manager, it's called a voicemail.  You can never ask for someone to talk with other than a rude person.  When you stump them, they go on to repeat their documented phone conversations then go back to saying 'pay us'.  I don't owe them a penny, yet they continue to call past 9pm, before 7am, during dinner, on weekends, etc.  Well, I'm working on my letters to the FBCS and the BBB.  You guys are screwing up.  Why can't we talk to a person to handle a $0 balance?  It will cost you more in court, so keep calling me.

Ok, so these idiots call like 10 times a day looking for someone else that owes them money.  I've told them this, yet they continue to call.  It's a low budget group using low budget skip traces to locate people.  They follow the results like the bible, usually a skip trace is useless but anyways.  It's a game for me too now.  I call them at least 10 times a day or more and wait for them to give the intro and hang up.  Imagine, them stopping to answer the call....like I had to hahaha.

Julie from 800 279 3733 harrassed me about a cardio monitor I never recieved I called and reported her to my doctor and called my attorney.  After calling cardio nets main number at 866 426 4401 and talking to manager Carl Reid who apologized and assured me that this Julie would NOT be calling anymore.....due to this being a complete mistake on THEIR part.  My opinion that Julie needs to be retrained on how to be a human!  ha ha

Received a call from this number looking for someone with the same name as my husband.  When he said he did not have an account with them, the woman hung up.  My husband attempted to call back to take to a supervisor, again the woman was rude, threatened my husband and hung up.  He attempted to call once more to talk to a supervisor and was denied but they gave him the voice mail.  If this is the way they treat customers and/or non-customer, they should get sued for harassment.

Someone called me today looking for someone named Hyelim. I told them that wasn't my name. They said that they had done a skip search and come up with this phone number and told me to call the Sprint Fraud department. Sprint verified that Diversified had made a mistake. I hope this means that Diversified stops calling!

This isn't a game, this is collections, you have had months to pay this..." when I stated that I simply couldn't pay right now she said " GOOD LUCK!!!!" and hung up on me...I was so shocked...I should have called back and asked to talk to a manager.  She was a total B$#@%.
