Medco was a great company until they were bought out by Express Scripts. I've had problems with them ever since. My company's agreement with Express Scripts REQUIRES that I get one Rx through Express Scripts. It's a royal pain every time the Rx needs my doctor's approval (my doctor approves it right away, but I always have problems with ES). When my refills are out, my local pharmacy always faxes my doctor for a refill approval at least a week before I need a refill... Express Scripts doesn't do this. I have to contact my doctor and they have to fax a new Rx to ES.

Express Scripts called once and I foolishly let them talk me into switching my thyroid med refills from my local pharmacy to their mail order. They told me the price would go up if I didn't. They later called back and told me they didn't have my Rx and didn't know when they were going to get more... And, they wanted ME to call MY DOCTOR to have it switched to a different thyroid Rx, which is something my local pharmacy would have done if they were temporarily out. I wised up and realized I didn't want to through the hassles of dealing with this company for 1 more medication... So, I called back and told them my doctor didn't want to change my Rx.

Express Scripts also has send me several letters telling me that the prices on the meds that I get through my local pharmacy are going to go up in price if I don't switch to getting them through Express Scripts. In SMALL print at the end of the letter, they mention that the price won't actually go up if I'm already paying a discounted price. It's been over a year since that 1st letter and so far the prices of my meds from my local pharmacy have not gone up.

My bank acct was charged for 1.01   might not seem like much, but when I called the number to see why I was charged, The recording told me to enter my credit card and expiration date. They pulled 1.01 from my account. If they hit 10,000 people. That is $10,000.

Mr. Tuan,

Are you sure you didn't order some medicines from MEDCO or Express Scripts?    What you have on your credit card - "ESI Pharm Fairfield 800-282-28821 OH " is how they bill you.  "ESI" stands for "Express Scripts Inc."   Of course you were not in Ohio - that's just the billing address or where the medicine comes from.

The same thing happened to my mother this month, then she remembered she ordered some Synthroid from Express Scripts a couple weeks before.  It comes through the mail.

If you did not order medicine, then yes, someone got your card and is using it.

Hope this helps

They have been told no less than 10TIMES - DO NOT CALL THE HOUSE - so whoever said above that they "need to speak to the target person" is WRONG WRONG WRONG.  My husband works for the biggest insurance carrier in the world - and STILL THEY CANNOT GET IT RIGHT.  MUST be a bunch of chimpanzees there because they call call call.  I have blocked ALL their numbers and they are still NOT getting it right.

YES - please stop their NUISANCE CALLS so I can TURN MY PHONE ON AGAIN????

THANK YOU.

I keep getting the calls from Medco every time we pick up a monthly prescription from CVS pharmacy I get a call from them. I told them that the mail order is not the choice for us at the moment for a number of reasons, but apparently this does not work.

I get calls from medco about 8 times a year and there recording gives a diferent name they are calling every time.

No one at this number has ever done business with this company and i have no need for Medco as i get my meds from the VA

As for them not doing telemarketing i understand that they will make this kind of recording with a name of a fake client to numbers just for getting name recognition.

Same experience as others here.  Medco is managing my employer prescription medicine plan.  They call to sell their service of fulfillment by mail.  I tried it *once*.  They screwed it up and their customer service was horrible.  As a consequence I got a year's supply of medicine I didn't need and was overcharged for it (and I had to pay for it all) and couldn't get filled the one medication that I *must* take every day.  Every time I contacted them, they had a different rep respond, so it was like speaking to people with amnesia.

I have told them repeatedly that I will not use their service again.  And they just keep calling . . . .

Have told Medco numerous times that I will not use their mail order service because the one time I did, they royally screwed it up. They claimed I did not have a refill on one medication, when I did; it only took 10 e-mails to get them to admit that. The other med contained the wrong dosage level. Regardless, they still continue to call.

If you never answer they will call again. They need to speak with the target person and authenticate who they are talking to before they will take you out of the system. If you never answer, then they didn't reach the person that they needed to so they will call again. They have to do that to reach the clients that they are required to inform of thier benefits through thier prescription drug plan. My sister works for them. They are actually trying to help people save money. So stop being mean to my sister please.

Medco is probably affiliated with a prescription drug plan you have through your employment.  They are affiliated with mine and they called to advise me that I can save money by getting my pills 90 at a time through them via mail order instead of getting 30 at a time from the pharmacy.  If anyone has Medco Prescription coverage as part of their medical insurance, then they are entitled to contact you at home whether or not you are on a no-call list.  They usually don't call people unless they have coverage through Medco.  The purpose of their calls is to try to save you money on prescriptions you take on a regular basis by sending them to you through the mail.

They ship insulin refrigerated. My medications arrive just fine. I love medco, most of my medications are free. They used to call me alot when I wouldn't pick up, but now that I answered and realized they are ACTUALLY my prescription manager through my insuance company I don't get those calls anymore. Try it again.

They call 2-3 times a day several days a week. When I answer there is nobody on the line. I tried calling them back to tell them to not call me again but nobody answers. My insurance company uses Medco but I have told them repeatedly I don't want it. Why should I pay a $30 copay when I can get the meds at Wal-Mart pharmacy for $4? Plus, mail order meds sit in the mailbox all day in 100-degree Texas heat which ruins them. Medco also send me mail twice a month. I always return it with don't contact me by mail or phone anymore written across the form. Still, they keep calling.

When purchasing a 2-week supply before a new prescription arrives from Medco, check Medco's price and check the pharmacy price sometimes they're cheaper than MEDCO.  If you have to take one generic pill each day for 90 days, Walgreen's price is $12.99 with only one membership fee, Target is $10.00, Walmart is also cheaper than MEDCO.  Alway inquire where the pills were made.  Don't forget some pills must be DAW because they're consistent. Recently I had a 1-month prescription filled for 120 pills, MEDCO's cost $45.00, Walgreen's cost $31.29.
MEDCO also overrides MDs prescriptions by decreasing the pills.  They push generics when the MD writes DAW on the script and they will make you pay the difference between generic and brand name.
Phone calls:  Tell them not to call you or you'll report them to "make up a word type of government" the employees are stupid and will believe the yippy yappy gov dept exists :->
When you have a prescription filled on a 31-month day say July 17, MEDCO will not give permission for a refill until August 17 which is 31 days.
WHEN YOU ARE CORRECT STAND ON YOUR FEET AND FIGHT BACK MEDCO

Also, erors occur therefore always count your pills from a pharmacy and MEDCO.
One more thing, I HATE MEDCO!!!!!!!

I received a call yesterday (see above) and did not answer, however I called them back and complained.  It is MEDCO calling and she said they wanted to let me know about how I can save money. .  I would not give them information other than my first name, last name and zip code.  She was able to pull up my account and put a note not to call again.  However, I just received another call and did the same.  She asked if I order medications from them and I stated Inever have and do not medication I take on a regular basis.  I wanted me name and number off their list and she said it takes up to 24 hours.  Since it was only 20 hours and 40 minutes ago, I will see if they call again tomorrow.  Neither of these women have ever seen this site or the other that have complaints about calls from this number. Maybe an employee is using their work number to scam people.  DO NOT ANSWER THE CALL, call them back and see who answers.
