It's capital one, they will continue you harass you many times a day they r looking for a payment

WHEN I MOVED I RECIEVED A NEW LAND LINE NUMBER, WHO EVER HAD THE NUMBER BEFORE ME HAD APPARENTLY SKIPPED OUT ON ALOT OF DEBT. I HAD CAPITAL ONE CALLING UP TO TEN TIMES A DAY EVERY HOUR ON THE HOUR. I TRIED TO EXPLAIN I WAS NOT WHO THEY WERE LOOKING FOR. THE PERSON WOULD SAY OK ILL MAKE A NOTE OF THAT AND THEN AN HOUR LATER THEY WOULD CALL AGAIN. I FINALLY WENT TO A LAWYER AND HAD HIM DRAW UP A LETTER AND THAT STOPPED THE CALLS RIGHT AWAY.  IT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TO TALK TO A SMART PERSON WITH THAT COMPANY !!!

I am receiving calls on my cell phone number  310 691 9867 .   This is the wrong number for your business and I request you stop using this number--- it has become very annoying.    The last call today  was  FRM alerts@capitalone prepaid.com    Subj  authorization MZSG authorization for $30.00 at San Bernardino County  800-4e87-4567 Ca.   Available balance $34.63.    I do not and have not had an account with  your company

I do not answer 1 800 numbers anymore.......they are frequent and annoying

Listen up people and fight back.  I am sick and tired of getting phone calls that start at 7 am and do not stop until 8 pm daily and now have progressed even on Sundays.  Even if you pick up there is dead air! Or they leave an auto australian voice msg saying the want to talk to Curtis or Lily. BS!  I have never had dealings with Capital One and never will.

If you are on the DNC registry and if not why not as it only takes seconds, but you can file a complaint at the following site.  Make sure you make a log of the time(s) they call.

Remember if we all get together and these companies are penalized severely, they will think twice before doing the auto dial and disregarding the laws of Canada with regard to telemarketing!

Every two or three days someone from this number keeps calling at least 5 times in one day(I'm not exaggerating, 5 times in one day) and NOT leaving a message. They just hangup. I have call display so that's how I know it's this number(1-800-284-0755) calling me. I also have voicemail so there's no excuse for them to just hang up. They could leave a message if they really wanted to. I don't care if it's computer generated calling, hanging up without a message is just rude! Is this how Capital One runs their business? I live in Canada and want to know who else besides the CRTC(Canadian Radio and Television Telecommunications Commission)is going to do something about this. THE CRTC SUCKS BIG TIME AND LETS ANYONE DO WHAT THEY WANT WHEN CALLING!!!(sad but true).

I keep getting this call also. I filled out that form so telepeople would stop phoning you.. but it doesn't seem like it works.. I have better things to do with my time then say hello for 5 mins stright.. with no answer.. I'm so angrey right now.

Blocking their number now. If it's something of importance, they can send me a letter. I'm probably one day late on a payment because I've been out of town.

Laws need to change in favor of the people, not the loan sharks!

They call me every day and I don't, nor never have had any credit cards.  In future I will change the way I answer the phone, Regional Police, How may I direct your call, comes to mind.

I don't even have a Capital One Credit Card and they are telling me I owe them a $250 debt to them. I'M NOT EVEN OLD ENOUGH TO OWN A FREAKIN CREDIT CARD! I'M 17 YEARS OLD! They call my cell phone! Of all numbers! This is just annoying now. They've called me 5 times a day telling me this, and I'm so sick of it.

I am agreeing with JC...You have no idea when your life is going to completely turn around.  My husband is in severe diabetic mode right now and is also self employed.  I am retired and went through my savings and investments trying to keep with up everything that was happening after being diagnosed with MS.  So at times just a minimum payment can be hard to scrape together...I have spoken with Capital One and they are working with me.
So don't go making assumptions 'phone guy' because you don't know everyone's situation

It's funny how a person will make a comment on people making at least the minimum payment, I had a good life then my husband died in an accident and didn't have life insurance, two years later I am diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor and have a 5 and 3 year old.  Sometimes life is hard and NO we can't make that minimum payment, does that mean I should get 37 calls each and everyday?  You never know what can happen in your life.  Hope Mr. perfect payment never has the reality check of just how fast your life can change for the worse!

How about the excessive $29.00 late fees? And the previous scheme of holding people's payments until they *were* late then charging a late fee. That is until the government stepped in to stop them.

Capitol One Mastercard pay your late balance people, and they wouldn't be calling you. Just because you have a credit card doesn't mean you can't send them at least the minium payment due every month!

I have received a call from Capitol One Mastercard (1800-284-0755) and called them back.... I have been getting calls for quite some time for a card that my mom uses that hasn't been active for quite some time and she now lives at a different contact location!! I explained to the secretary on the other end of the phone, that today is in fact a Statutory holiday (REMEMBRANCE) and that it's a holiday and they shouldn't be bothering us!! Her response was we can not control the automated dialer!!

THERE'S NEVER ANYONE ON THE OTHER END!!!!

everyday it is capital one collection no answer when you answer the phone.

Better check your credit report. Someone may have applied for a card in your name without you knowing it. Gl

After reading a few more posts I tried calling the number that called me ~ 1-800-284-0755 ~ and I got a live person. I told them that I want to be removed from their calling list and I gave the lady my number and she said the calls will stop. Hope this works!!

they call my house about 6 or 7 times a day asking for Jenny Biniasis. Nobody by that name here!! The last straw came when they called on a Saturday morning @ 6am with a recording. I called their customer service line 3 times before I got results. The first 2 times they put me on hold for over 10 minutes each time. The 3rd time I called I told the guy that he had better not put me on hold and he better put me on the "DO NOT CALL" list. I told him that I wanted to speak directly to the dept that removes our names from their lists and he informed me that they do not take calls!! I said "Oh, I see, they call and harrass people but they won't take calls because they're cowards!!" I also told the guy that putting me on hold for over 10 minutes each time is very poor customer service!! If I left someone on hold at my job ... I wouldn't have a job ... they are just a bunch of cowards who hide behind their phones and call and harrass people. If I want their lousy credit card I will contact them. If you are having similar problems call this number 1-800-955-7070 and tell them , "Do not put me on hold, I want to be put on your DO NOT CALL list immediately".
