This is number may be associated with mail fraud. It is shown on an invoice for products not ordered by our company, and apparently a "phishing" effort.

Same experience as Greg here.  They had our business address and phone correctly on the invoice.  They were billing us for products we never ordered or received, and nobody within the company had ever heard of them.

Same phone number, same scam, different day!  November 11, 2008... received invoice for over $800 for "toner" today... and we never ordered from these people.

got an invoice today for toner's not ordered. they sent us a bill for 924.94 from office supply center with a p.o. box no. 4892, irvine, CA 92616.  total scam. be aware!!!

Our story is similar with some additional details. We also received an invoice from "Office Supply Center, P.O. Box 4892, Irvine, CA 92616" in the amount of $924.94 for two toner cartridges that we did not order.

Two weeks ago an individual called our office asking the model number of our Xerox machine in order to complete our supposed order. I told him the number, thinking nothing of it (except that he was gruff). Then last week he called twice to tell me that the order had been pushed back but would arrive within a few days. I'm guessing that was so that we would think that we should pay the invoice because the toner would, supposedly, be on its way. This is absolutely fraudulent.

Just received one of those invoices from Office Supply Center regarding toners. Called the Irvine Police Dept - hopefully those guys will get caught soon as they are checking an empty post office box.

Received and invoice in the amount of $800+ for two toner cartridges.  This followed on the tails of several phone calls requesting our copier model, etc.  We never ordered/received product from this company.  Totally fraudulent!  I wonder how many accounts payable offices just write a check without realizing this is a bogus charge!

ATTENTION:

Every single one of these posts was posted by debt collecting Law Firms who are afraid to give their company names
or contact information because they know they are lying and making slanderous comments just because they are mad that their secretaries ordered office supplies from us.

These allegations of not sending out supplies ro "phishing" are untrue, we have receipts from UPS of our daily
outgoing shipments. We have receipts from our suppliers that show we pay each week for hundreds of different supplies that we ship out.

Phone records would show a 3-4 minute phone conversation prior to invoice date, which it's our position resulted in an order for supplies.

We are addressing these issues with respect to ship dates printed on invoices for products backordered. We will change it to BOLD print and that should help them see that it has not been shipped yet.

We have been in business with the same name, address and phone number for 8 years.

These are a mob of debt collector law firms trying to gang up on us.

Whocallsme.com obviously does not care if comments posted are damaging to the jobs and welfare of a family owned business.

This was whocallsme.com responce to our complaint:  

"We do not have to fact-check or monitor content posted by third party users. We are not in a position to judge whether the message contains a defamatory statement as such decisions must be made by a US court."

Whocallsme.com would rather take sides with a hate filled, mob style attack on a business and enable the conviction of the accused without a trial, sentencing 10 or more families to unemployment with no remorse.

There is no way for us to contact these accusers because they won't give their real names or phone numbers.

This is a angry mob site full of Liars and Slanderers who are afraid to give their contact info.

Total scam. They produced an invoice for toner cartridges not ordered. We go through or leasor. The invoice states the ship date as 07/05/09. We are only in June. Matter of fact today is June 2, 2009.

I am not aware if anyone at our office got a call. However, we did get a bill from Office Supply Center, P.O. Box 4892, Irvine, CA 92616 PH: 800-285-2009, for over $800 for 2 toners we never ordered. I know we never ordered them because we get toner without charge under our service contract with our maintenance company. When I called the number there was a recording telling em to leave my phone number. I guess some people just pass these bills along to their payables department.

Here you go Mark Taylor. We are Coates & Logan, LLC in Kansas. You having a  3-4 minute phone conversation with someone means nothing. I talk with people all the time asking what type copier we use, are you interested in a new copier would you be interested in supplies? HERE IS THE LOW DOWN ON YOU!!! You are using phone calles to get a contact name. Then stating the company ordered supplies from you. (You may have some poor person not knowing you are a scam but it looks as though you have more on the other side that has your number)!! You send them to out of state companies so in the hopes that no-one will spend the money taking you to court but don't worry when enough people send a complaint to the post office for mail fraud (PHONE NUMBER 1-877-876-2455) and complain to the CALIFORNIA ATTORNEY GENERAL (WEBSITE: http://caag.state.ca.us/) and file reports with thier states Attorney General you will soon be spending some time. If you really had employees that are unemployed it is because of your practices!!! PERIOD.... JUST DO NOT TALK TO ANYONE ON THE PHONE OTHER THEN YOUR OWN SUPPLIERS PEOPLE>>>>>

Additionally, her is a link to their Better Business Bureau.  Their rating is "F."  They will give a refund without complaint, it seems, but this is still fraudulent business practice.
