This Roger Carter person says he works for Executive Arbitration Group. And while arbitrators can be lawyers, they don't have to be. So yeah, they can't just keep calling and harrassing you at work. They are essentially 3rd party collection agencies who call and try to scare the crap out of you with terms like, "check fraud" and that in about 2 weeks (always 2 weeks) you will be served with papers. Mine happened to be taken care of another way, but this guys kept saying "served" and doesn't even have my current address. And I kept hearing someone in the background yelling, "THANK YOU , THANK YOU THANK YOU, THANK  YOU!". Not very professional for someone who works in an office. Plus he says you can only pay it off with a 16 digit bond under your name, which means credit card. They are collecting from a company that probably already wrote off your debt.

My Caller ID shows "Unknown" when they call, but they say I should call 1-800-286-9403. Another one is 1-877-330-9586. I got a live person one time who claimed she represented Weltman Weinburg & Reis LPA.

Well if my Caller ID says "Unknown," how do I know that? These persistent b****eads could very well be boiler room scammers for all we know. Don't respond to them. Complain to FCC or Federal Trade Commission.

This "company" has repeatedly called asking for someone that I have never heard of.  I told them that they have a wrong number, yet they continue to call and leave automated messages for this mystery person.  I eventually called the number and talked to a representative who wanted to know some "information" from me before they could stop calling my number.  I told him that I would not disclose any personal information since it is simply a matter of a wrong number.  He said in that case there was nothing he could do.  I will report this company to as many agencies as possible.

I received a phone call from 800-286-9403ext.6967 - Christie Williams called. They call everyday for someone who does NOT even live at my residence and they refuse to stop calling. Who do I report this to?

I have a new cell phone.  I've not given out the phone number to anyone.  This number 1-800-286-9403 called my cell phone 6 times.  It tells me what hours they are open Eastern time and leave this phone number.  I only bought my cell phone to use for emergencies.

Keep calling but we won't answer, makes no difference to these as-h--les! Scum of the earth is what they are, someone needs to pull a columbine on jerks like these then maybe they wouldn't be so quick to harrass people-make em think twice about who they're stirring up!

This number belongs to a law offices of Weltman,Weinburg & Reis Co. They also work with LVNV Funding LLC out of Greenville SC. Debt collectors, some how Sherman Financial fits in there. Haven't got it figured out yet.

Call and leave a number.  When I call back to tell them to stop bothering me, there is no ring.  The same voice as on the message says he will direct the call and then the line disconnects.  They call at least once a day.

They keep calling 4 and 5 times a day for a walmart credit card that has been payed off for a year. At first they tell you they are a debt collector. Then they change and say they are a law form. This is a scam a BIG scam.

They are calling and harrassing me on a Sears Card issue that has been taken over by a company that is helping us get out of debt.  Payments have been made every month and no one else has called us to demand payments.  It seems to be one company / person after another.

WELTMAN WEINBERG & REIS IS NOT A COLLECTION AGENCY... THEY ARE A LAW FIRM, THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE.. THEY ARE ALLOWED TO CALL BY LAW IF YOU OWE A DEBT.

what doesn't make sense is people like you guys who owe a valid debt yet refuse to pay it. stop being bums and take care of your business instead of getting mad at people who are trying to collect their money back. be responsible and stop complaining.

tell your sleazy law firm to validate the debt when asked these clowns call me about a debt and i dont even see it on my credit report and then they lie to me they said the last time there was any transaction on the debt was two years ago,,i happen to know the debt is nine years old i also know they cant sue me on a sol debt so i played along i asked for full validation and that means....

Just report them to the fcc. No problems no hassles they will check to see if they are a legitimate company. If not they will disconnect them. The more that report them the more they get shut down.

These idiots start calling us at 8:19 in the morning.  They now call every 1/2 hr and don't say a word.  So let me get this right if they don't tell us they are calling from a debt collection agency they are breaking the law?
