Anyone that would like to know how to clear this up contact me and I will let you know. After my post. I found the link which is H&R block. If you had your taxes done by them, then you need to go back to them have this matter cleared. You will need your tax froms from that year they are saying you got money from them as a loan. You can reach me at puppy8_120002000@yahoo.com. Yes they are a** holds, but it all started with H&R Block. I file a report with the police because someone in their offices figured out how to get money using your information.

We receive multiple - and I mean 15 plus calls a DAY on our cell phones from this company.  We went through HR block for our taxes and did the RAL loan.  Well, the good ole govt kept part of our refund for a screw up on our last year taxes (which was legit, come to find out).  However, we did not know this, we were NOT flagged for the IRS keeping our refund... now we have RUDE and I mean RUDE people calling and demanding payment in full.   They were actually calling me before I even knew the IRS was keeping my refund.   Never ever again.  This bank is TERRIBLE and these people can't half speak english.  One phonecall they even told me to cash in my 401K to pay them.  What??  I have been sending them a payment every month, which they cash.   I tell them the next day I will make my payment.... still not good enough.  Will this ever END???

I've received several dozen voice-messages from this number.  After my phone identifies the number and time of the call, nothing but background noise is audible.  Because I rarely have my cell-phone turned on, I haven't had the opportunity to confront this party about their persistent phone calls.  It is a nuisance, because when I check my voice-mail messages, 2 or 3 calls from this number will have registered within a 24-hour period.

These f@#$ers need to stop this b@#$%^it.

This number keeps coming up on caller ID.  Googled and found this site.  We have never had our taxes prepared by H&R Block.  We have already received our tax refund.  Can't think of a reason why I should answer this call.  Everyone should get a copy of Dateline from last week.  They did an investigations on scam companies like this one.

I got a call from this number & couldn't find it on my usual anywho.com search so I tried to search for the number through Google. This site is what I came across. All I can say is if you can't dial 0 to get a live person from the number then the people at HSBC don't really need to talk to a live person either. Don't waste my time with your crap HSBC!

first of all obviously we all did our taxes electronically my question is wouldn't the IRS turn us down if there was a problem while having our taxes prepared electronically? And also I am sure we would receive a letter from the IRS. I am receiving phone calls already at work from these creeps. They have given me two different amounts that I supposedly owe and I mean totally way off. Obviously our personal information has gotten into the wrong hands. From now on I am going back to the old fashion way of doing my taxes even though it takes longer. Its sad to say no one can be trusted.I was told this is a short term loan  that needs to be paid back within thirty days or it will appear on my TRW.

This call is legitimate. I had my taxes prepared through Jackson Hewitt and received the RAL (Refufund Anticipation Loan), which was a check cut by HSBC Financial Services (I verified their Identity with a copy of the check the bank gave me). After reading the posts on this site, I refused to give them any personal information. After they verified information (I still did not give my SSN, so they verified my identity with my Phone #, street name, city & state), they told me that the IRS is refusing to release my refund to them. I requested she verify the exact amount of the refund. This company is part bank, part collection agency. They may not use the most orthodox method for getting a hold of you or when speaking with you, but they are legit. I verified this by matching the number on my caller ID with the number on my refund check.

I received a call on my cell phone from (800) 288-3811 at 3:23 p.m. PST on January 17, 2008.  I was instantly suspicious because of the 800 dialing code.
Instead of me saying hello instantly, I waited about ten seconds, then just grunted, I guess for the heck of it.  At that point, a live female voice stated she was calling from H & R Block.  Since I have been a longtime H & R Block customer, I said I was happy to hear from her and continued on to say that I would soon be calling to make a appointment.  At that point I realized that the female caller had terminated the call.  So I called the (800) 288-3811 and got a recording saying, "This is HSBC Taxpayer Financial Services."  I pressed "1" to continue in English, which prompted another recording stating, "Please enter your Social Security Number."  That's as far as I went.  There is no way in hell I would enter my SSN.  This is obviously some sort of scam.  Stay away.  I hope someone will report this to the proper authority.  Frankly, I don't have the time. but I do hope this message hepls at least one other person out there.

A man with a heavy accent, just called me from this number.  He stated that, they had not received my IRS check and that i had to pay back the amount of my refund immediately or that it would go on my credit report as a delinquent debt.   I told him i didn't have all the money...he asked me how much i had left and i gave him an approximate amount.  He asked for me to pay that much today.   I told him that i wouldn't pay anything until i checked it out with the tax preparation company and the IRS.  He gave me the IRS # to call....when i called, it being Sunday the office was closed, but referred me to the website.   The man said that if i didn't return what money i had, that he would be calling me back in 2 days....

I got a RAL refund when i had my taxes done by H&R block.  So I received my tax refund the next day.  A month later these people started calling me.  They are the people who lend the money to people who get the rapid refunds.  Come to find out, the irs did not pay them my refund!  My refund from the irs was apparently randomly held up to verify information.  Unfortunately, these people want there money NOW.  And the irs says it will take 4-6 more weeks before they release my refund - even thought there was nothing wrong with my tax refund!  I got the rapid refund cuz i needed the money fast, so i no longer have it anymore to pay them back.  I am stuck.  I hope I never have to do that rapid refund again. I suggest nobody ever do it - EVER!  You never know what the IRS will do.

This is H&R Block collections!  This is for the people that took out a RAL through H&R Block and was told you would get your money but then something kept you from getting your income tax back.  Our situation was us going and filing our taxes and we asked 4 times was anything going to hold our taxes?  My husband owed back child support that we were paying and it had flagged our taxes at the office that day and they said we were getting the money and ended up his ex got it and now they are calling us trying to collect the crazy fees!  I don't even answer them anymore!

This is the collections line for H& R Block, and no matter what they will call and hang up on you over and over again, we had a mix up on our taxes and were told by the IRS they (H&R Block) would still receive the refund (we did rapid refund) but it was delayed and will not go out until May 21st.  Despite explaining this several times on several calls, we were told there was nothing they could do to stop the calls in the meantime (NOT TRUE).  So we are still getting 6-7 calls a day at all hours and almost ALWAYS they hang up on us.  This is a result of their automated dialer being cranked way the hell up because they DON'T CARE about customer service, they are collections.  The only thing you can do is call H&R Block every time they call and annoy them as much as you are being annoyed.  These people are the absolute worst collection agency on the planet and the way they conduct themselves should be illegal if it's not already.
