Maybe you should pay your bill. And they simply could be calling to confirm all of your information since you are a 'new' customer to them. Standard practice. Stop being so paranoid.

You are a moron. They don't necessarily call because you may be behind in a payment, car or otherwise. Wells Fargo will call to sell you services, update your information, do a satisfaction survey OR simply ask you when you are going to make your payment. It isn't a scam.

And if you can be scammed out of money, you deserve to have it taken.

Answered phone & got an automated "good-bye". Called number & spoke to woman & was told that Wachovia Dealer Services doesn't call you to sell anything, but only if you are a customer or point of contact for someone... Interesting, I don't think I am falling for that. We will see, told her we've been on Do Not Call list for about 10 years...

My mortgage is with WF as it was sold to them without my permission.  Would refinance elsewhere if I could afford to.  I have never liked doing business with them for various reasons, mainly not customer friendly.  I do not have a car loan with them but am getting calls from this number several times a day which I ignore.

After purchasing a vehicle I was receiving calls from this number several times a day while I was at work, and they never left messages. Finally they called when I was not at work, and I found out it was Wells Fargo. The first thing they did was ask me to provide SSN information over the phone to confirm my identity in regard to my car loan. I told them I would not offer up that information over the phone, but if they wanted to tell me what they had on file then I would confirm if it was correct or not. They said they couldn't provide it over the phone, yet they expected me to offer it up to them. They said they had to end the call because I wouldn't provide my SSN information and I would receive my welcome packet in the mail. If they don't have any need to be making these suspicious calls asking for personal information that they already have in their loan paperwork, then they really need to end this practice. I would much rather wait for my welcome packet in the mail anyway.

Why does no one leave a message then?  I have received several calls from this number, but no message to indicate who is calling or why. I answered the first time I saw the number come up on my phone and no one was there; I refuse to call back when there is no explanatory message left for these calls.  Just waiting for them to stop...

Got a call from this number today. We don't know what they wanted. We do have business with wells fargo, but, they are not owed any money. From what others are saying, this sounds like an attempt to get personal informatiion and they are trying to scam us out of money.

I've received 4 calls from this number in the last 24 hours. I won't pick up. We took out a small loan a couple weeks ago and Wells Fargo picked it up. We received our welcome letters a few days ago. That's all I need. We'll be paying this off shortly. I HATE BIG BANKS! And hey, you're kind of anal yourself buster! You're rude and it sounds like you should get a different job, NOT in customer service. Something that doesn't require contact with the public? By the way thanks everyone for your input.

Most of the time this number will be calling people to verify information on a new car loan or if you're late on a payment.  We received a call from them almost exactly one week after signing a loan.  They called it a welcome call and use it to verify some information.

Just financed a new car through them 2 weeks ago.  Called them back & it was a welcome call to let me know when & for how much my payment is due.

A little bummed out because they told me I can't pay my loan installments via credit/debit card unless I do it through Western Union ($25 fee).  I had this brilliant plan to build my "no credit" by opening a secured card w/ my own bank & using that to pay my car payments so it looks like I'm making on-time payments to two types of accounts on my credit reports.  I was then going to re-fi the car loan w/ my own bank after 12 months of that.  Booo tomatoes....

We answered it, and we were hung up on. They have called everyday for 9 days waking me up since I work 3rd shift. This has done nothing, but annoy me so I blocked the number. If i pay my bill on time, they have no reason to harrass me. Simple as that.

I have received six robo calls from Wells Fargo Dealer Services since Feb. 24, 2014. I'm on the Do Not Call List, which is a joke. They're calling my prepaid cell phone, so it costs me money every time they call. I have NEVER done business with them, financed a car through them or indirectly or inquired about their services. Furthermore, they do not provide an opt-out number or option, which I believe is now a requirement under federal law. They started calling me last year about this same time and it took me a month to get them to stop and here I am back in the same situation. Every time they call, I file complaints with Do Not Call and the FCC and it does no good. I called the nearest Wells Fargo office Saturday to complain and the person who answered the phone told me I'd have to drive to the office and show my ID to be removed from the list. Are you kidding me?? Are they going to pay for my gas and time? That's ridiculous to expect someone to DRIVE to a business to stop calls I should not be receiving in the first place. These people are ruthless and relentless. Please, someone needs to shut them down.

I have answered this number. No one is on the other end. No one speaks. No one answers the call. Eventually the auto dialing hangs up without any ever answering!
