the do not call registry is a big failure.  it is only abided by lawful companies.

Actually, National City was purchased by PNC Bank, not Huntington.  Either way, these phone calls are very irritating.  I have gotten 3 this week in the Columbus area.

Actually, Federal Law prohibits telemarketers and collection agencies from calling cell phone numbers. Since most cellular companies have peak times that, you as the paying customer get reamed for using your phone during these hours. The problem is telemarketers and collection agencies, know this law inside and out but figure that most non-educated people or those that do not have a degree in some legal service, don't know enough to fight this.

I did have an account with National City Bank, which changed to Huntington National Bank and I closed that account with a positive balance. Yet these people call my grandmother's house and continue to bombard her with questions about me. Now when I had this account, I lived in the Cleveland metropolitan area. I closed the account and moved back to Steubenville area. My question is where did they come up with my grandmother's phone number to even attempt to try and get ahold of me?

THEY JUST CALLED ME AGAIN! CALLED AT 11:45 AND 2:48 ON 3-12-12 ASKING FOR 'WAYNE' I TOLD THEM NO ONE BY THAT NAME WAS AT THIS NUMBER! I HAVE HAD THIS NUMBER FOR YEARS AND ITS A CELL PHONE! THEY THEN CALLED AGAIN TODAY AT 11:47 ASKING FOR 'WAYNE' AGAIN! I SAID "I HAVE TOLD YOU REPEATEDLY NO ONE BY THAT NAME IS AT THIS NUMBER" SHE SAID "OK CALLS ARE RECORDED FOR QUALITY" TO WHICH I RESPONDED "I DONT CARE IF THEY ARE RECORDED! STOP CALLING ME" I HEARD LAUGHTER AND WAS HUNG UP ON! WHO CAN I REPORT THIS TO?

Called me today, March 12, 2012 at 11:50am asking for "Victor". I told them I do not have a clue who "Victor" is and not to call me again. I then received a call 2 minutes later from the same number asking for "Nathaniel". Really getting tired of this!! I have had this number for 13 years!

I kept getting calls from the w while I was busy at work.they would never leave a message. Yesterday I was off when they called and I answered.the lady said I had a bank account that is overdrawn with pnc bank.she never said my name but started asking about my social and birthdate.
      I wasn't giving her anything at all. I have never ever had an account with PNC so how can I have  one overdrawn? This is a big scam........

Buy a phone that you can block out individuals number and names. This will stop them. Its what I do when they get my number and start calling. I don't owe anybody any money and I'm not a fool who will soon be parted with her money. I work to darn hard for my money and I'm the that will spend it.

They have been calling me constantly so today I called them back and asked why they were calling. Some non-english speaking person asked me my phone number and I gave it to them since they obviously have it anyway. They gave me two names that they were looking for...I told him that it was the wrong number for both and he apologized and said he would remove my number...Hopefully this will solve it...

Not all ex-cons are rude and enjoy it!   Most of them are really trying to stay out of prison again by getting a job.  Most people won't hire them so theyhave to get menial jobs.  Evidently there has to be a way to contact their employer to report the rude ones.

I have gotten calls from this number 4-5-6-7-+ times a day.  It is on my business number and I am on the no call list.  I have no idea who it is and I don't owe anyone back debts!  I answered once, no one there so don't answer it at all.  Keep calling and I will contact my attorney at Prepaid legal!!!

These people call at all hours of the day, don't leave messages, when I do answer the phone there is either noone on the phone or they ask me to hold for an important message.  Stop calling me people or at least answer when I answer.

My number is on the Do Not Call list.  They called me and left no message.  I called back, got "Mineesh" who asked for my name.  I refused.  I had to ask four times why they called me before he answered "looking for Danny"... which after seeing the above made me think "BULLSH*T"... "there is no Danny here, remove this number immediately".

Claims he did.  Anyone wanna bet?

They called again today as soon as I answered they hung up. 2/1 at 11:51. All that came over was that they were trying to collect a debt.

I got a call from this number earlier this afternoon...I don't have a message machine, so all I got was the caller ID..."800 Service".  I've been looking at just about every reverse lookup website I can find...looks like this is a collection agency/scam...

The information that I'm seeing time and time again is this:

Do NOT give them YOUR name or any personal information (social security #, address, etc).  This is a new way developed to get around the Do Not Call list by someone with too much time on their hands.  They call looking for someone...not you...then try to get your information (phishing by phone).

There's not a whole lot any single person can do, but if you continue to get calls, I suppose there has GOT to be somewhere to report the phone number so the Feds can track them down (probably all overseas anyway) and shut that number off.
