I Just got a call asking for my daughter by her name that does not live with me. They asked for her by her maiden name and she is married with a family I told them she did not live with me. They gave me the phone number with and ext number for her to call them back as it was  personal matter and they gave the name of United Recovery  System.

This company keeps calling my work number looking for someone that has the same first name as me.  One time, I happened to answer the phone and they tried accusing me of lying about who I was.  Today, our office just got the call from this number again and the lady was very rude.  They seem to have me confused with someone else and won't stop calling.

Just took a call from 757-337-2534 after missing several in the past weeks from Fatima Lewis looking for my sister.  Wouldn't take no when I said I wasn't at liberty to give out other #'s and I would not do so without authorization of the people in question.

She wouldn't tell me what it was about other than having to give my sister some information on a personal business matter.  When I asked, point blank, if it was about a collection matter, she just told me she had information to give my sister.  She just wanted me to pass the message to call er back at 800-304-8855 ext 3655 along to my sister or to friends or relations that would see her.  I told her when I leave work I go straight home and I don't see friend or family that would give the message to my sister.

I should have told her that I would go home and tell Cleo to give the message to my sister the next time she sees or talks to her.  Then they would have been searching the internet for Cleo Katra (the cat).

In the end, I told her to remove my number from her call list and hung-up.  As I'm feeling today, I would love to start legal action against them for another call back.

Same story here: Janet Adams called trying to reach a neighbor that I really don't know asking if I could get her a message to call her at URS at 800-304-8855, ext. 3115. Is this legal? Can my neighbor take action against them?

A man from URS has been calling me concerning my son. I told him not to call anymore & I would report him if he did. He said he was calling all my neighbors to find out more info on my son. I'm not responsable for my son,and he has never lived here. I have reported him calling to the FTC.

These same people  - URS 800-304-8855 contacted my relatives in another state for information on how to contact me.  I don't owe anyone, so can't imagine what they are calling about, or how they could have found my relatives phone number, and yet somehow are incapable of locating MY phone number.  Sounds like a scam to me!

United Recovery Systems is a scumbag debt collection agency.  You can easily find out this nasty outfit by searching for them on the internet.  Don't waste your time with them, you can not trust anything they say.  Here are known numbers to block/ignore.

I suspect the caller is a bill collector.  They haven't had any luck calling the debtor directly so they are calling relatives and neighbors.  The law says they can't discuss the debt with anyone except the debtor.

I have no idea how to get rid of them.

We got a call from our area code. Same  thing -give this 800 number to a neighbor. Our phone # is unlisted. Don't know the neighbor either.

Someone keeps calling my too and not saying anything. They even went as far as leaving notes in my mailbox for someone who used to live at my address before I purchased it last year. this is really getting annoying as I am confirming that, that person they are looking for, does not live with me. They keep calling. What the hell is their problem?

I got a call from a Lady calling herself Jinie Pastor saying this was a last ditch effort to get hold of a neighbour regarding a 'personal matter'. She refused to name her compnay, reason or any other details. The call came from Towson 410-372-4856. The return number she gave was 1-800-304-8855 ext 3145. I advised her that my neighbours number was listed and she could contct them directly.

A man calling himself Chris Cummings from URS said he was trying to get in touch with my neighbor and gave me her name.  I said I do know her and he said my number was left as a possible contact number.  He asked me to give her a message to call him at 800-304-8855, X3688.
I looked the number up  and found this site and all of the comments by others receiving calls from this company.

A man called looking for my son about a "personal business matter". My son does not live with us and hasn't since sometime in the 1980's.

just got a call from a woman who said she is in texas (and she has a southern accent) who said her name was Kate Jackson and she was looking for a man who supposedly is a neighbor of ours. we just moved here two months ago and we hardly know anyone in the area. i told her that but she wanted my husband to call her back if he recognized the name. She gave me ext#3022. sounded suspicious so i google the number she left with me.

A lady called and said that she is trying to get in touch with my neighbor. She would not give me her name or the name of the business, and said that she found my phone number by looking it up in white pages. She asked me to give this number 800-304-8855 to him. I refused to help her because I don't even know the neighbor who lives at least two houses down the street.

When I called this number from my office phone, I discovered that it's United Recovery Systems.
