Oh how I love my call-blocking service from my phone company. These guys were calling 3x a day! I think its a place where many non-profits hire them to make fundraising calls, because different times I have answered them, each time it was a different charity asking for money.This # has the most complaints I've ever see here. 15+pages!

Calls at 6 am to say I have a credit via att something. I have tmobile.

800-307-3697 calls at least three times a day. Has been calling for several months. It claims to be a fundraising organization. Whether it is legitimate or not I don't know. It is resorting to bullying tactics.

I got a call from 1-800-307-3697 twice now. A month ago they proposed being Police, they are going to schools campaigning anti-bullying to school kids. They wanted a donation of $300. then asked for $200. and when I said oh no, they asked for $30.00 or $20.00 ???hmmm....ok I said I will give $20.00, for a good cause, I think it would be great if they could help out with bullying in our schools, he then turned me over to another officer _____ that was going to take my information, just what I thought, he wanted my Visa or MasterCard number. I said, send me something in the mail and I will send a cheque, just to see what they would do. They then wanted my address, I gave my postal box address, and just what I thought nothing in the mail. I got another call today, they tell me they have been having problems with the delivery of outgoing mail, and will be fixing the problem soon, again, asking for a Visa or MasterCard number. Of course!
I told them no. I don't give out that info,  Oh they said is that for security reasons? He asked if my address was ---- street, which was wrong, and I said yes. ... good bye. I should of said I am turning this number over to the Police!

I have blocked this number for two years now and when it starts calling it calls all day long every two hours. BORING! There us never anyone there!

That simply confirms your number and will increase calls.

Call for VFW donation.  Have requested to be placed on do not call list, but they still call.  Have put a call blocker on the number, but they still get through.  How do I stop the calls?

I went to ftc.org and found out how to report them to the Do Not Call Registry.  They've been calling my house every day for months with nobody on the other end.  My dad gave them the whatfor tonight when somebody was finally on the line but if they call back, I'm going to tell them that my lawyer will be contacting them.

call from firefighters regarding my pledge...asked for credit card... told him didn't have one..told me I was not listening to him...very rude...total scam...do not give out information...I finally had to hang up on the A$$%!

They have been calling me up to 3 times a day. I finally picked up today and they said I agreed to make a donation to the blind 4 months ago. I may have done this but I don't remember. Then they said they need the money ASAP and need a credit card number. I said no to him 4 times and he still would not get off the phone with me. I had to finally tell him to stop calling and hung up on him.

Caller claims to be representing Canadian down syndrome but will only take a credit card donation.
I offered to donate 25.00 a couple months back if they send me a pledge form from their head office.
Today they called me to collect on my pledge despite the fact I have never received anything by snail mail
From the head office. The caller said there has been serious mail delays and they need my visa today.
Caller also said 'they' represent 300 charities and don't have time to mail a pledge form yet promised me a receipt within a couple days.
800.307.3697 caller background sounds like a call Centre. This caller had an accent like deep south
American. Last caller a couple months back had Indian accent......

VFW stands for Veterans of Foreign Wars, it's an organization dedicated honoring and helping those veterans who came back from fighting overseas.  It's not as big or as popular as it used to be, but you could tell them that you would like to donate to the VFW at a local branch and if they continue to harass you, call your state's attorney general's office with a complaint.  They handle this sort of fraud and harassing business practices.

The Attorney General's Office of your state should be able to take complaints and handle these types of cases.  You should be able to find the number on the Internet and call them for details.  Good luck!

Called the number back and got a recording that allows you to leave the telephone # that you would like to delete from their call list.  Hope this works.  But better than being harassed and doing nothing!

Usually your phone company can allow you to block certain numbers. Try that first. Then tell them to put you on their "do not call list". then if they call back it's a federal issue, turn them in.

They call constantly asking for donations, quite bullying on the phone, kinda demanding asking for funds.  Asking for credit card and debit but not to freely asking where place of residence is.  They do not tell you what city, country or state they are in.  I think there is something funny about this organization considering the amount of complaints they are receiving.

Someone keeps calling saying they're fundraising for KC police, but when I offered to stop by the police office to drop my donation they said they cannot take any donations at the office. They wanted my credit card information over the phone. Does anyone know where to report this?

keep getting calls from this number. who or what is VFW? never heard of them.

This is a pain in the duff company that collects money for charities supposedly...in this case they are harassing us from the Shriners but have represented alot of different companies in Canada and the US over the years.  The number is traced back to a company named Xentel.  Apparently they keep 75-90% of the money they raised or another person says they pledge amounts to these charities and then start bugging people to re-coup it and keep all money over and above the amount raised.  Have asked numerous times to be taken from their call list over the last several months but to no avail.  Will be trying to take it through other channels to get this dealt with

Caller asked for my wife and refused to tell me who they worked for.  When I told them that I would not hand the phone to anyone until I knew who she worked for, she hung up on me.  Rude and unproffessional.

They say they are collecting to fund the police in schools program and want the $25 donation I promised. Then they say that today is the last day they can collect to continue this fund. When I ask for a website as I don't like to give my cc over the phone they say that this is safer - yeah right! Totally has to be a scam.
