These same people called me from 810-742-1123 (I didn't answer) and they left the number 800-310-9982 to call back. It sounded like a real person but I bet it was a recording. She said "I'm just returning your call, we spoke last week and we can consolidate your credit cards and since you are making minimum payments, we can help you pay it off quicker." OKAY
A. I paid off all my credit cards and am debt free
B. I didn't speak to you last week or any other for that matter.
C. BACK OFF!

Okay I feel better now. Thank you. :)

My husband just got a call on his cell phone.  I called back the 1800-310-4482 talked to a Lynn. (ext. 1323) She said they hook people up with non-profits to allow them to lower their credit card interest rates. She said she screens the people, then enrolls them with the nonprofts. She would not give me a corporate headquarters phone number, nor the name of the non-profits they work with. She said she doesn't know how they got our number, that may have been a friend or someone else referred. When I asked if I was expected to enroll in a programs with no contract, no verification of the company, and no idea whom they represented, she hedged and said that once I was enrolled the nonprofits could mail or fax all the information to me. She hedged on the direct questions about her company and did not give direct answers.  The BBB has listed a number of companies called Debt Relief Centers, so far none look good, though I haven't gone through them all. Thanks all of you for the info, I don't think we will be giving out any information, but I may call back just to see if I can find out any more information about this company.

Transcript:
"Hey Chris, this is Haley Meyers here.  Um, we spoke on the phone last week, possibly about trying to lower those interest rates and reducing your monthly payments on those credit cards.  Um, I wanted to let you know that I did find a solution here.  Um, we?ve got a program that can lower those interest rates to as low as 1.5% and possibly cut those monthly payments in half.  And, since you were only making the minimum payments this should be a pretty great opportunity here.  Uh, this will be the last courtesy call that I will make so please give me a call today. You can reach me here at 1 800 310-9982, again, its toll free and the number?s 1 800 310-9982.?
Concerns:
1.    Caller does not identify the company she represents.
2.    Caller refers to a previous conversation that never took place.
3.    Caller knows my first name.
4.    Caller has my cell phone number.
5.    Caller attempts to connect to a financial need in a generalized way by implying I have a problem and she has a solution.
6.    Caller attempts to grab my attention by referring to a low 1.5% rate and a reduced monthly payment.
7.    Caller states this will be a final courtesy call and requests I call back today.

If you're receiving this message please file a complaint with the FTC and your state's Attorney General's office.

Here is something crazy.  I work in a church office and when I got in this morning to check the "CHURCH OFFICE" voicemail, I got a call from someone who said it was her last "courtesy call" and please call back at 1-800-310-9982.  WE ARE A CHURCH.  WE DON"T HAVE ANY CREDIT CARDS.  Needless to say, we are not calling back.

I received a voicemail saying "...those payments in half. since you were only making the minimum payment this should be a great deal for you. this will be my last curtesy call. you can call me toll free at 1-800-310-9982. again, it's toll free and the number is 1-800-310-9982".

I do not own a credit card and I have nothing that requires minimum monthly payments.

Got a call from a Haley Myers at (810)686-7412 saying that she spoke with me last week regarding my high interest rates on my credit cards and that I had only been making my minimum payments...no part of this statement was correct.  She asked me to call her back at (800)310-9982 to discuss it further.  At no time did she ever actually say on whose behalf she was calling.

Left full voicemail claiming that she had talked to me before (NOT!) and that they wanted to consolidate all of my cards since I'm only making the minimum payments.  It was obviously a blind telemarket call since they did not know my name or my credit standing (only one card used and not making minimum payments).  She said her name was Hailey.  Called my work number.  I thought that wasn't allowed.

What everyone needs to do is contact your local Secretary of State or whoever takes complaints on these types of calls and file a complaint.  A few years ago I had telemarketers calling my house on a regular basis even though I was on the do not call list.  I even told one to never call back and he hung up on me.  I kept dates and times along with the numbers.  Turns out it was a firm operating out of Vegas using VOIP phones with numbers that rotated or changed so it appeared they were calling from different states.  A few months later it just stopped.  Guess they got them.

I also received the same message, though it was partway cut off. It was a recording that started playing back as my voicemail was answering so when it finally started recording it was halfway through her message. I pay my credit cards in full each month and have zero debt so this is definitely a scam. She was offering to cut my monthly payments in half, and also said I was only making the minumum monthly payment. Completely false. Don't call this number back and don't answer it if it calls.

I got same thing; 1/2 a message about 1.5% interest rate and what a good deal it is since I am only making the minimum payment and this was the last courtesy call she'd make.  I don't have any credit cards so I had no idea - but the "last courtesy call" thing made me nervous.

I received a call just now from Hayley Mayers, calling from phone #: (810) 266-5132. She left a message saying she was following up with me re: the debt relief program I was inquiring about since I was only making my minimum credit card payments. She let me know that this would be my last courtesy call from her and to please call her back at (800) 310-9982 (emphasizing it was toll free). Obviously I am not stupid enough to call back. I have zero debt and pay my bills in full every month. Clearly a complete scam. I would not trust calling any of these #s back!

this People Search-Search Free link takes you off to search and in order to see the INTELUS results, you are prompted to pay. Yes the search is free but the results are not. All in all, this is a another typical useless intenet link posted by some scab who intent on making money instead of sharing information. Get a life scumbag and stay off of the internet.

Got a missed call from 1-810-742-1123 and they left a voicemail saying this:

"This is Hayley Myers here,  we spoke on the phone last week. Possibly about trying to lower those interest rates and reducing your monthly payments on those credit cards to as low as 1.5% since you were only making the minimum payments.

Give me a call today. You can reach me here at 1-800-310-9982. Again it's toll free and the number is 1-800-310-9982".

"I'VE NEVER HAD A CREDIT CARD." THESE ARE SCAMMERS.

I called the number and some bi*** answered and I said "How can I help you?" and I replied "I don't even have a credit card"....and before I could finish she hung up on me. I called back on another phone and the same girl answered and I said "F*** YOU AND STOP CALLING ME" and I heard her slam the phone down.

Add 810-742-1123 to the list of numbers asking you to call the 800-310-9982 number.
Totally a scam.
If you call the 810 number back it says it is disconnected.
If you answer it and ask the woman on the line to take you off the list, she hangs up.

Also got a half message from no-name Edwards who also said that this was the last courtesy call and that he could reduce my monthly credit card payment.  Considering that I don't owe anything on any of my credit cards this is definitely some kind of scam.  Why can't people just work for a living?? GET A JOB!!  Just FYI-the number I am supposed to call back is 1-800-310-9982.
