The scammers just hit me up about this "so-called" Trip with Delta Airlines Round Trip Airfares to anywhere Delta flies in the continental USA...............
The joke was almost on me until I went to the internet and saw this is a scam.
Oh, by the way, be careful of the one they are scamming with "You are unique, you have special abilities.."
It's a scam by, who I am told, is Kevin Mark Trudeau.  Even on Wickipedia it says:

Trudeau's activities have been the subject of both criminal and civil action. He was convicted of larceny and credit card fraud in the early 1990s, and in 1998 paid a $500,000 fine for making false or misleading claims in his infomercials. In 2004, he consented to a lifetime ban on promoting products other than his books via infomercials. [1]

Please be careful...................................

One more account of the same story.  I got the card, it said "you have been selected to receive 2 Round Trip Airfares to anywhere Delta flies in the continental USA".  It does not say "Delta Airlines", it does not say free airfares.  They wanted us to come into DC to view a presentation.  My wife had to come with me to get the second ticket.  They told us they were "VMF Solutions".  This is a legitimate company (or at least they have a legitimate-looking web site), based in India.  I assume that these scammers just borrowed the name.

Is anybody seriously investigating these people ?

Just read this on another site "So bottom line, the travel is through Travel America out of Washington.  There's a $50 refundable deposit and you get airfare for 2 adults and 2 nights hotel for $98 each adult for taxes, $196 total plus the hoops to go through to get it.  Hmm.... I guess I'll not be attending the session after all. Under the rubric " if it sounds too good......"

Did anyone find out the what the taxes, deposits and fees are? I called the 1-800 # and the rep claimed that Delta is only one of the airlines the travel vouchers are for. The taxes you pay may be for "winning" the tix as if you had won any prize, and the fees may apply if you choose to stay at the hotel that is part of the package  - those "extra" fees you pay at any hotel.  I'll attend the session tonight and get back on line to share what I found.

I just called 1-800-313-1263.  I reached a call center that takes phone calls for many different companies.  The first thing they asked was the Ticket confirmation #.   They transferred me to a rep from Diamond Marketing Solutions.  The rep said they are a discount travel service. They ask three questions.  1.  Are you between the ages of 30-70?  2. Are you married or live with a significant other? 3. What is your household income?   I just told them I wasn't interested and hung up.  I got the same Carnival card.

One came in the mail for my husband this week.  It was from "Carnival".  It does not use the word "Complimentary" in any variation.  Instead it says "In celebration of our Anniversary in your area, you have been selected to RECEIVE a 7 Day/6-Night cruise for 2, leaving from any major port in the U.S., including 2 Round trip airfares leaving from or going to any major airport in the Continental U.S."  It has the port of call 1 as Miami, FL,  Port of call 2 as Freeport, Bahamas & port of call 3 as St. Thomas.

Apparently this scam is still going around.  I didn't bother to call about this.  What I find interesting is that if it were valid there would be a website listed but there isn't.

Same deal.... Delta, 2 RT blah, blah, blah.  Yes, thank you to all who posted before.  I guess they figured people don't answer their phones when unknown numbers show up on caller ID, so they resort to this kind of scam.  I would think Delta could get get a lawsuit going against these guys for improper use of company logo.

Just got the same Delta Airlines postcard. The number listed on mine was 888-639-6990. The postcard has a prepaid postage area that states "West Palm Beach, FL. Permit 3950". Seems like Delta would want to hunt these people down using their trademark like that.

Received a postcard today with bold lettering: DELTA. Photo of plane and logo of same. "Congratulations! You have been selected to receive  2 round trip airfares to anywhere Delta flies.. call within 48 hours.. bonus... 3 day 2 night hotel stay." BUT IT NEVER SAYS ITS FREE. Very deceptive advertising. Fine print below says,"This offer not sponsored by or affiliated with Delta Airlines, but they are a major supplier" Duh?!
Thanks for the heads-up on this one. I guess people caught on to the cruise offer so they are moving onto others.

My postcard sounds a bit different from yours above. I got a postcard today near my Raleigh NC home, with this 1-800 number on the front. It said it was from Delta.

"Congratulations! You have been selected to receive 2 Round Trip Airfares to anywhere Delta flies in the continental USA. Call within 48 hours and you will also receive as a bonus, 3 Day 2 Night Hotel stay! We have been trying to contact you (this is not a timeshare or a land sale offer). Toll Free 1-800-313-1263"

Obviously the first thing I did was look up the 1-800 number, and surprise surprise, it isn't Delta!

SCAM!

Scam alert. As always, use common sense. Read this post card completely, including the fine print.
Carnival Cruise Line and US Airlines are featured prominently along with their logos.
The fine print says the promotion is not affiliated with Carnival. And if you read it closely, it says, "Fly a US Airlines". As a previous poster has said, the real name is US Airways.
