And you never gave them your checking account? Sound unlikely. I don't know what it is, but unless they got it from someone you gave it to, or you actually gave it too them one night and are denying it, it's hard to believe.

I keep getting harassing call stating my kids will be kidnapped. They also call me about threats on canceling my car insurance that I don't have. This is a sick joke and I would like it to stop or help me trace the caller. Thank you.

Got a call from 1-800-709-8625 (NCO Financial a debt collection company) called the number and was directed to call 1-800-313-2300....did not call and WILL not call!

We called the DMV number 888-638-4636 before business hoursa and heard a recording say if you want to talk to friendly people call 800-313-2300.
Who knew you could reach a sex hotline instead of an answering service for DMV. Not a good system somebody stop it please.

There was a $1.oo taken out of my checking account. It said Napster LLC and give this number 1-800-839-2777 and when I called that number it said that local singles want to talk to you call 1-800-313-2300. I have never given my bank account number to anyone like this. The bank is going to investigate this. I want it stopped.

I phoned a number from the Craftmatic bed website, 1-800-245-0202, and received a recorded message telling me to dial 1-800 313-2300 to talk to exciting people in my area. I know for a fact that there are no exciting people in my area, so I did not dial.

I actually called them...  I called some "mortgage company" phone number and the message said to call 2003132300.  When it said singles waiting to talk to you I hung up.  I didn't put any info in on the "mortgage" website, so I hope it doesn't start charging my cards or bank account.

Fact Checker is correct 20 apr 2009. This is Shoppers Discount and Reservation Rewards and is also Watchdog Id. They suggested a group of coupons and gas cards. This is a predatory company. When called to cancel, this obnoxious marketing person continued to extol the virtues of their products and ended the call without canceling. Had to follow up with another call. Be aware of Colo Flush as well!

I got the same WDI SAFE ID. Later I got a letter from watchdog idea. The number for it was 18009705182 they said it would be canceled and credited back to my card. I would still like to know how they got my bank card number.

My Amex card was dinged $75.00 by "Qwest Communications 800-244-1111" in January, and I learned through my Quicken Online account that $75.00 charge was scheduled to occur in a few days.  

I called this number and heard a recorded voice that said "Exciting people are waiting to speak to you.  Please call 1-800-313-2300."  
Because this Amex charge appears to be fraudulent I did not call this second number.  

Amex has reversed the charge that showed up on my January statement, is issuing me a new Amex card and blocking any future attempts by this company to bill me again.

This is the third instance I have discovered this weekend of charges to my Amex card made without my without my permission.  The other two were by companies called "Shoppers Discount" and "Reservation Rewards."  It looks like along with the current economic meltdown people's personal information is under unprecedented levels of attack.  This makes me very leery of buying stuff online, and underscores the need for all of us to scrutinize the statements of every financial institution with which I have an account like a hawk to make sure our accounts aren't getting jacked.

I don't know who this is but, I want my money placed back into my account. I was charge $19.95 for what I don't know and I don't like how easy it is for individuals to access peoples account and do want they want then its a fight to get it corrected. Times are to hard for things like this to go on.

I had the same WDI safe charge for my bank card and at first could not figure out what it was for.  Then my bank gave me the number 866-922-0659 for the company.  It is for ID Watchdog, the identity theft prevention company, and they had no problem cancelling the charge.  Also, the guy reminded me that if there was a telemarketer or someone that called about a smart shopper trial and free gas that came along with it, then that was the reason I was charged for their pending 30 day trial period. So don't accept anything from the telemarketers because you may be still charged for something you said you wasn't interested in.

I just had $19.95 taken out of my checking account for this and I sure did not give my debit card number to any site like this.  When I called the number I finally got to "customer service" I then got a recording for the number 1-800-909-3283, I called that number and was told they had nothing to do with WDI Safe Id which is what is showing on bank charge, I they had had other calls about it, I suggested they might find out who was giving out their customer service number.

Same story as reported by dailey05 - 24 Jun 2008.  This happened to me the last week in August 2008. However, the last 4 digits of the phone number matched some of my account information.  I immediately hot carded the card.  The transaction has not yet posted, but is now still pending at $1.00.  I hope that $1.00 doesn't represent a lot higher amount! My bank has been notified.  The FCC needs to get in on this one. I have never used or accessed Napster, and have good firewall & spyware protection, so I am not sure how this happened.

Talk to singles...this number is billing my checking account and is being investigated.
