GOT A CALL FROM THIS # AND DON'T KNOW WHO IT IS OR WHY THEY'RE CALLING ME???
| Larry Heath 2011-06-06 20:57:34 Unknown |
These people call me every other day to offer to lower my credit card APR. I know of course this is most likely a scam, so I press #2 when prompted, to not recieve this call again, Yeh, right. So two days later I press one to speak with a rep. When rep answers, he asks if I want to lower my credit card APR, to which I answer "no, I want you to stop calling me. He then proceeds to tell me "F__k you", so naturally I fire back with a few of my own choice words and ask for his manager and of course he hangs up. HOW DO I STOP THIS?

Called me six times on my cell phone in one day. My phone was on vibrate and in my purse, so I didn't hear any of the calls.

saw on Good Morning America today that old debts are sold to companies for as little as $100. (that may have been worth thousands) and these are the kind of people trying to collect, which they then get to keep the majority of the money they collect. Look into the story because they said legally you don't have to pay. One person who owed Verizon 11 cents and they'd (verizon) sold it off - now owed $4000.00! This guy actually new the law and when he challenged using the law, they backed down. Very interesting! Don't know if this number is associated with bill collection, but am going to post this info anyway so people can be alerted.

This is why telemarketers will be out of work someday. I receive at least one call every day from these people, and when I ask to speak with a manager they hang up.
| barbara 2011-06-06 20:57:34 Unknown |
They will not stop calling. I hit the option to not call me again and they call and call anyway. Today I hit option 1 and when I told the woman I had been trying to stop the calls but they continue to call, she hung up on me!

I receive multiple calls each month on both my home and cell phone numbers. The number that appears in the caller ID is 50622763344 but this does not function as a call-back number. I once answered the call live and pressed 1 to speak to a representative. When I asked her to remove me from the call list she hung up on me mid-sentence.
The calls always start with words like this: "We have made several attempts to contact you regarding your credit card bills." And always ends up talking about a scheme to lower credit card payments. "Don't worry. There is no problem with your accounts." the message says. This is not from my bank nor is it from any credit card that I currently have an account with. The company name is never offered and a call-back number is never offered.

Press one to lower your credit card bills, so I did. Guy asked how much I owed on my cards. I told him it was non of his business and asked to speak with his supervisor. He said no and then the conversation got ugly. Can these people be stopped? I'm getting an unlisted number.

This is the 2nd time, I got the call from this number. Pre-recorded message, Credit card interest rate notice, gave options to speak to an associate(press 1) and to get the number removed from the list(press 2). I hung up the phone. I don't know what they were upto. Is there any way to report this to any authority to take some action?

Call #: 800-315-9192
Call Time: 11:24 PM (GMT -5 Eastern US)
I saw the Caller ID, so I let it ring. They left a message, which was a recording claiming to be about my credit card, which they didn't state the name of, or whose card it was, then saying it was urgent, but nothing was wrong with my account. It was an ad about lowering credit card interest rates.
I smell wire-fraud.

I am a firm beleiver that some people need killed (ie: terrorists, ect...) These a***oles fall in to that category. If law enforcement and the government can't stop them then we should! Any thoughts on other ways we could fight back?

I got a phone call Feb 8 and it was a recording about lowering my interest rates, I pressed 1 to be transfered and asked to me taken off their call list. I was told "No" and then was called a stupid c***. Then transfered a number of times being called the same thing. I was told they were "Card Services". I called the police and made a report of it, then called my phone company and was told how to trace the call if they ever call again. I am also going to be making a complaint with the State Attorney Generals office. Which from what I am told they can get my phone records and trace the calls. I hope something is done about this and that until then nobody gives them their personal information...

It was from the Mitt Romney campaign. Which is rather strange as I'm a registered Democrat. I guess they're desperate. Good thing I don't pick up unless I recognize the number...

I have now received a 10 calls from the "Mitt Romney for President campaign" within the last two days. This is irritating as hell because it's my car phone and I keep getting interrupted in the middle of business calls. Calling the number only gets a busy signal - and it appears that they are busy!
IF YOU VALUE YOUR PRVIACY - DON'T VOTE FOR ROMNEY!

My phone rang, the caller ID said it was a toll free call from 1-800-315-9192. I answered, and after a few moments of silence the phone hung up. I get these calls about once a week. I would like to ask the people responsible to stop making these harrassing calls.

Mrs. L,
Thank you for all the contact info!
Why not let Terra Nostra's Investor Public Relations firm know how irritated we are by all these junk faxes? Terra Nostra may not be behind these faxes, but then again maybe they are. If we let Terra Nostra's Investor Public Relations firm know what a PR nightmare this is creating maybe, just maybe, they will do something about it.
The last contact on Mrs. L's list was Terra Nostra's Investor Public Relations firm - Martin E Janis & Co. Thank you again Mrs. L!
My suggestions:
Every time you receive a fax about Terra Nostra fax it to Martin E Janis & Co., but don't just fax it once fax it several times. Janis fax number is 312 943-3583.
Heck, why don't we send the account executive, Bev, an email telling her how you feel. She has 2 email addresses. bjedynak@janispr.com & b.jedynak-janispr@worldnet.att.net.
If you want to call them their number is 1-312-943-1100 ask for Bev.
Maybe you want to snail mail them a copy of the faxes.
Beverly Jedynak
President
Martin E. Janis & Company, Inc.
401 North Michigan Avenue, Suite 2920

These firms keep filling our fax machines with their junk faxes, well it time we let the firms that represent them know what we think. Let's fill their fax machines, email boxes, snail mail, and phone lines with our disdain. Let them stop the junk faxes!

Just got a call from this number at my business. A pre-recorded message concerning information about affordable health care. Press 1 for further information, Press 2 to be removed from the list. I pressed 2, a computer voice read the number back with the statement the number will be removed from the dialing list and then disconnected.

EUREKA! Gold Fever...junk fax re: SPXP stock.
Sending unsolicited faxes is illegal so if this number sends again, I'll report it to FCC.gov. I used the "remove your fax number" line...first I'll see if it works. The problems is, they keep sending from different fax numbers I think.
