I set up payments with SkyRidge and have been making them to the hospital... are they really having collections call me now too? That is stupid! they aren't going to get 2800 from me in one payment. They will get what I can pay!!

Don't know who is calling, am on the "do not call list".

This a medical billing collection agency. They were very pleasant, however, the bill was a relative's who isn't living with me, although we are living in the same town.. The relative is disabled, elderly and in a nursing home, and certainly did not give my number out. Although they were nice about it, they expected me to deal with the unpaid bill????? I was asked to work out the payments on behalf of the relative, but was not told anything about the billing due to confidentiality. I was then asked to help make the patient available for a future conference call. Unbelievable!!! I am glad I answered the phone however, because I then contacted the insurance dept at the nursing home, and my relative will not be upset over worrying about this.  

This is a call number for a company that represents over due medical bills for various hospital systems around the country. They work out payment plans, claiming they are not an actual collections agency; but that's what they are. They just specialize in medical.

Received 2 calls from 1-800-318-5306.  No one was home to answer, but the caller ID said Cmty Hlth Svc.

The people associated with this number use collection tactics that are unsavory bordering on illegal to collect. My mother got a call and paid a pricey hospital bill because she was told she owed it after insurance. Upon further investigation, we discovered the insurance had never even been billed. We are contacting an attorney AND the state insurance commissioner about this...I'm not even calling this office back to listen to more lies.

The callers from this number represent pottstown memorial medical center.  They were calling to request payment for an outstanding bill.  

Received a call listed as unavailable, 800-318-5306.  When I picked up, a recording asked me to hold and wait for a representative.  I hung up.  2 minutes later I get another call, same number.  A woman on other line asked for my husband.  I reply he's not available and if I could take a message.  Just have him call.  I ask why the Extended business office of Easton Hospital is calling and if in regard to a bill and they would not divulge.  They have to talk to my husband.  I also asked why they called earlier with a recording and was told the line was cut off and there is a problem with her headset.  Why are we getting a call when they usually send an invoice?  After seeing all the comments, I am tossing the message.  The Easton Hospital can send me a letter or contact the insurance company, or the dr. involved if there really is a concern.

I got two calls from these people tonight, stateing "This is not a scam, its an important call, please stay on the line for a representative".

First of all I'm busy, and no I do not have time to stay on the line with a recording.
Second, if its so important, a person can call me and I will be glad to talk to them.........

Legitimate call. It appears smaller hospitals have outsourced their business operations to a central location, that's why the only refer to themselves as the "business office." They called about a a bill for surgery I had 6 weeks prior. Payments had cleared my insurance company, so I paid the remaining amount. No hassles.

Megan, I asked her her name, said she was from the  Phoenixville Extended Billing.  Wanted to talk to my husband and gave me this phone number.  I see that they use different medical info.  I wonder how they know that you used the hospital/medical center recently.

Collection agency for Brandywine Hospital for ER co-pay...was admitted to ER only 4 days ago...really Brandywine!!!!   What do you do, automatically put patients into collections as soon as they are admitted????

This is a company who represents a Boat load of hospital's who collect unpaid balances on medical debt. This is not a direct onsite pay company. U are talking to a third party affiliate

This number is a collection agency for many hospitals.  I asked when I called back after several calls of one and a half rings. I complained about their tactics and they did apologize.

Company calling to collecting money for hospital bill / ER visit.

This is from Professional Acoount Services, a subsidairy of CHS who owns many hospitals. PAS is in the collections business and handles bill collections for these hospitals.
The problem is they are violating the Fair Debpt Collection Practices Act by not using their true business name when they contact people. They always insist they are the original hospital which is false. They do this to try to circumvent the FDCPA by claiming they are the original creditor.
I am in a dispute with a hospital over a bill and my attorney sent them a letter but I continue to get calls from PAS in violation of the FDCPA.

I received a call from this number and a recorded message to call Medical Center Enterprise (AL). They are owned by Community Health Systems. I had an Emergency Room visit there last month. When I called them back, they told me my insurance had paid the balance of my bill except for $29.08. I paid it over the phone and the account is now closed. They even emailed me a receipt. Answer the call before it goes to collection, y'all!

GOt the call today from a woman claining she was calling from Brandywine Hospital in PA.  This, as indicated in other posts, is a medical collection company for unpaid medical bills.

Obviously the woman said her insurance had been lying to her, d***hit. DERP DERP DERP.

Called my wife a few times and didn't leave a message.    I called it back and it the person was from the extended business office of my local hospital reminding me about a statement from a hospital visit a month ago.

Recvd voice mail from 800 Service on home phone from Judy Styles@ Prize Claim Center that I was winner in Dodge Durango Cool Prize Give-Away.  Know it is a scam, but called anyway. They asked for my name and I asked for hers, she replied Suzanne Davis @ Four Seasons Travel. I told her I had not entered a contest from there and ended our call.

You should have gotten an 'explanation of benefits' in the mail showing that it was denied so you could appeal it.  It sounds fishy to me.  Go in person to the business office of the hospital you owe and take your insurance card.

Thank goodness these people called me. My insurance had been lying to me about a claim I had for a hospital visit for the last 2 months. They kept telling me they never received a claim from the hospital and that I needed to have it re-billed. Finally had a long conversation with a rep at this office when they called yesterday and she explained to me that they had not only billed the claim but that my insurance had denied it and gave me names and reference numbers from phone calls the hospital had with my insurance. Amazing how we all think our insurance has our best interest at heart and the hospitals are lying to us...I'll never think that again!

Called my cell phone said from Carlsbad (NM) Medical. Called back said business office. Said I owed Medical bill from July for $93.73. Sounds fishy

This is a caller from Community Health Systems hospitals (which could be any number of hospitals across America, they run several).  It is a screening call to see if you qualify for financial assistance or to make arrangements to pay a hospital bill.

Received a call today from a very sweet girl named Celia.

I could only apologize to her because I KNEW I owed my copay on the date of my ER visit, it just simply slipped my mind to pay it. That's so embarrassing for me because I know I HAVE TO pay that prior to being treated. I was so thankful that they called me and reminded me since I had also forgotten to update my address when I was there and had just moved.

I'm unsure why you all are so doubtful...they are only asking you if you'd like to make your payment on the phone. They're certainly not pushy!

I may end up calling back tomorrow JUST to give them a compliment on being so helpful and friendly! I'm sure they hear enough of the bad stuff every day!
