I asked what the company name was before anything else. As soon as he brought up payment in advance, I said "no thanks" & hung up.
Then I checked them out on BBB website. There are 2 listings for American Data Group. The first one has an "A" rating, and if you check the 2nd company, they got an "F" & tons of complaints against them. The second one went under another name before. Neither is a BBB accredited business.

I really liked your response so I went online to your company's website and there is no mentioning of ANY fees or any refund policy there.
The ONLY info you have there in writing is your 800 number.
I think it sort of answers the question.
If you're a legit company - post your policy online. Then nobody will have any questions to ask.

I am the one you spoke with.  Get your facts straight it is 69.00 plus 10.95 shipping and handling total 79.95 not 69.95 get your facts.  You lose your credibility and prove your ignorance.

How can it be a scam if they offer you a refund.  Here is the facts, It's a government job with wonderful benefits or a refund. Whats the big deal.  They are a company that helps facilitate the process of getting a government job. There are a lot of scams out there American data isn't one of them. There are people out there who want everything to be free of charge.  It's a service with a fee.  Whats the big deal? If you can't afford the fee then don't get it   It doesn't get much easier than that.Name me one company online that lets you pay for your purchases after you recieve the goods.  There are guarantees of a refund, but you still have to pay prior to receiving your goods.  Again Whats the problem?  Thats life

Albert if you did any research at all you would find American Data Group has to uphold their agreements with their clients there is a written document that states the whole complete guarantee and return policy is there for you to read apparantly you faild to read is.  You cry scam with out reading the whole policy Also there is nothing free these days unfortunatly and if you call an 800 number there is dang sure there is a  going to be acost.  Keep that in ming next time you dial an 800 number.  Pls do the smart thing and read and research before you cry scam.  I work at american data for over 5 years and cannot believe that people EXPECT THINGS TO BE FOR FREE..  THERE ARE NO FREE LUNCHES.  Unfortunately we live in a time where scam and faul are called at the drop of a hat or when there is a cost for our services.  The scam companies are not in business for going on twelve years, also they make it bad for us honest people and companies. OH AND BY THE WAY I HAVE NO PROBLEMS SLEEPING AT NITE.

Glad I google'd it to find out it was a scam...i called it anyway to see what was goin on...what sounded like a black gentleman the hired from the hood to be a monkey answering the phone (no pun intended).  The person who answered my call asked for the ext.and proceeded to ask me for my zip code, both were repeated back to me for me to confirm they were correct...stupid monkey i told you once...then it sounded like it was very poor equipment it was hard to understand him for this reason.  At this point i ended the call wondering if he heard me close my phone....or if he kept talking??

I just called them and the rep I got was very pushy and fast. he got me and I gave him my info (stupid me) then I felt uneasy and I started researching the number and the name of the company. first thjing I see in google is that this is a SCAM. I immediately called to cancel. they said they did. I also called my bank to make a note on my account that I do not authorize that transaction. I hope it works. if they tell you it is OK if you are not an US Citizen. IT IS NOT TRUE.
They get you fast but if you fall for it, the ebst thing is to call and cancel right away.

Well, why don't you put in your add that there is a fee so all parties will know so they can know before making the call. I am someone who doesn't use the fee for service places because there are so many who don't charge. Plus, I'm a displaced worker and couldn't afford to pay anyone, even if I wanted to.

I also called this number and was stupid enough to give them my information.  They said they needed $129.00 for a security deposit for test exam study material which would be refunded after i mailed them back.  I thought about it and researched the number, I then called them back and said they dont have my permission to charge my account and the operator hung up on me.   Closed my account before they could steal my money.

Because the federal government lists all their available jobs for free.  It costs $15.00 to take the civil service exam through the government website.  Why pay a service to get the info you can get on your own.  There's only one US government  - it's not like going to an agency that would farm your info out to dozens of companies.
