Yeah, I called the number, he gave me the speil, I told him I wasn't giving out my C.C. info over the phone...he hung up....imagine that.
I asked what the company name was before anything else. As soon as he brought up payment in advance, I said "no thanks" & hung up.
Then I checked them out on BBB website. There are 2 listings for American Data Group. The first one has an "A" rating, and if you check the 2nd company, they got an "F" & tons of complaints against them. The second one went under another name before. Neither is a BBB accredited business.
I called 18003209353 and was told it was government work, I get desperate for a job, I talked RHONDA BERG # 1849 and she told me she had to pay a fee and that it could not work, they pay me back. They sent the book list at work and did not see anything interesting, I sent back in good condition and asked him to refund my money, I called 18055606102 and attended several different operators and they said that they were solving the problem, LIES, ALL LIES, I turn now and no one answers, I need money and these f****rs cheating us!!
I gave too, I paid and they not pay me back, I call to 18055606102 customer service and they not help me, but now I try to call again but nobody answers....
if you really exist, what is the # of customer service that I can call?
Wooow! Now that is top quality professionalism!!!
69.95 or 79.95 whatever. Point is she was smart enough not to give her money to you!
I really liked your response so I went online to your company's website and there is no mentioning of ANY fees or any refund policy there.
The ONLY info you have there in writing is your 800 number.
I think it sort of answers the question.
If you're a legit company - post your policy online. Then nobody will have any questions to ask.
I was about to call them, but decided to google the number cause it looks like a scam, saw their ad in pennysaver (government jobs, $12-48)! Thanks everyone!
omg!!!! i called the number too && they charged my credit card!
Ive been trying to get a refund, but somehow they're always busy!! wtf!
has anyone recieved a refund from them??
I am the one you spoke with. Get your facts straight it is 69.00 plus 10.95 shipping and handling total 79.95 not 69.95 get your facts. You lose your credibility and prove your ignorance.
How can it be a scam if they offer you a refund. Here is the facts, It's a government job with wonderful benefits or a refund. Whats the big deal. They are a company that helps facilitate the process of getting a government job. There are a lot of scams out there American data isn't one of them. There are people out there who want everything to be free of charge. It's a service with a fee. Whats the big deal? If you can't afford the fee then don't get it It doesn't get much easier than that.Name me one company online that lets you pay for your purchases after you recieve the goods. There are guarantees of a refund, but you still have to pay prior to receiving your goods. Again Whats the problem? Thats life
windy to snoopy
Really I had the same experience, i was about to give my credit card no's, suddenly I had a doub't so I said I don't want to pay now..!!! wow what a scary creature..!!!
Albert if you did any research at all you would find American Data Group has to uphold their agreements with their clients there is a written document that states the whole complete guarantee and return policy is there for you to read apparantly you faild to read is. You cry scam with out reading the whole policy Also there is nothing free these days unfortunatly and if you call an 800 number there is dang sure there is a going to be acost. Keep that in ming next time you dial an 800 number. Pls do the smart thing and read and research before you cry scam. I work at american data for over 5 years and cannot believe that people EXPECT THINGS TO BE FOR FREE.. THERE ARE NO FREE LUNCHES. Unfortunately we live in a time where scam and faul are called at the drop of a hat or when there is a cost for our services. The scam companies are not in business for going on twelve years, also they make it bad for us honest people and companies. OH AND BY THE WAY I HAVE NO PROBLEMS SLEEPING AT NITE.
Well, I called, and stupid me, I gave in. I didnt pay any attention at all to what was really happening. So, then I looked it up and wammy. I feel like a fool. I googled after and saw this and felt even worse. But Im gonna get a refund even if I have to sue them for my $80. Im super pissed off at this scam.
Glad I google'd it to find out it was a scam...i called it anyway to see what was goin on...what sounded like a black gentleman the hired from the hood to be a monkey answering the phone (no pun intended). The person who answered my call asked for the ext.and proceeded to ask me for my zip code, both were repeated back to me for me to confirm they were correct...stupid monkey i told you once...then it sounded like it was very poor equipment it was hard to understand him for this reason. At this point i ended the call wondering if he heard me close my phone....or if he kept talking??
How can you live with yourself ripping people off that are struggling as it is
this # is listed in yesterdays Phila Inquirer. IT IS A SCAM, I was dumb enough to fall for it and SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE!!!!
Colby From Texas
I called looking for a government job and the guy on the other line was commending me for my work background and was saying ohhh yeah there's so many jobs available for you. And then......."all I need to lock down this information is your credit card....." I told him my wallet was in my car and i'd call back. Great forum. Thanks everyone.
I JUST CALLED NOW I'M IN HOUSTON AND IT WAS IN THE HOUSTON CHRONICLE!!!
i called luckily i don't believe in other entities holding my own money so i didn't have an account! HAHA. but yes i wrote scam alert all over it. I called USPS and they told me the tests are free.
I just called them and the rep I got was very pushy and fast. he got me and I gave him my info (stupid me) then I felt uneasy and I started researching the number and the name of the company. first thjing I see in google is that this is a SCAM. I immediately called to cancel. they said they did. I also called my bank to make a note on my account that I do not authorize that transaction. I hope it works. if they tell you it is OK if you are not an US Citizen. IT IS NOT TRUE.
They get you fast but if you fall for it, the ebst thing is to call and cancel right away.
scam be carefull

i called yesterday after seeing an add in the penny saver all was great had a great conversation with the sales rep and when they asked form my CC for almost $70.00 i said i would have to think about it and asked them to send me a flyer or brocure as they did not have a website. they said umm we dont have anything like that. hmmmm SCAM SCAM SCAM
If your unemployed like myself and find a job opportunity on the web with this # DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION! THIS IS A SCAM! I have been unemployed for 8 months and its truelly sad to get ripped off. How can you take my unemployment money and use it for your own benefit. So sad and God will definetly take care of theses scam artist.
Well, why don't you put in your add that there is a fee so all parties will know so they can know before making the call. I am someone who doesn't use the fee for service places because there are so many who don't charge. Plus, I'm a displaced worker and couldn't afford to pay anyone, even if I wanted to.
omg I just gave my credit card # out and after reading this i felt very scared and asked them to refund it they said it woud be refunded but it will take a few days to receive my money back!the money was taken out of my account in less than 10 min! did you get your money back???
I called this number and a guy explained me the process and then asked for the name and CC. At this point I said I want to so a small research and he said "Thank you" and hung up at once. I am glad I was able to find this site. I am in Baltimore area, MD.
I also called this number and was stupid enough to give them my information. They said they needed $129.00 for a security deposit for test exam study material which would be refunded after i mailed them back. I thought about it and researched the number, I then called them back and said they dont have my permission to charge my account and the operator hung up on me. Closed my account before they could steal my money.
looking for real work
Because the federal government lists all their available jobs for free. It costs $15.00 to take the civil service exam through the government website. Why pay a service to get the info you can get on your own. There's only one US government - it's not like going to an agency that would farm your info out to dozens of companies.
