I received an e-mail from Rebecca Allen of FreightQuote introducing herself as my account rep. I have nothing to do with any kind of freight shipping. She left her number (800-323-5441) Glad I checked number before calling to tell her she had the wrong guy.

You probably used them in the past and didnt even realize it, OR someone referred you!! how about just be polite and tell them that you dont ship. Weird concept isnt it!!

Got a call from this number , didn't answer. Next time I will and I'll let them know we don't ship ANYTHING. Why would they call a carpet cleaning company about shipping needs?

800-323-5441 is FreightQuote.com I use to use them with emergency shipping years ago. No need to use them now. They are expensive! UPS is the best, then Fedex. Big Freight companies like SE Freight etc are great. I do remember their reps were so agressive. I wouldn't recommend them.

actually you are wrong. in some states the do not call registry for that state applies to ALL phones INCLUDING businesses. how do i know? because i used to work in Colorado and our vendors actually had to get us to sign an authorization form to allow them to call and fax us.

Got a call at our office about 1:20 PM. Caller ID said "TOLL FREE CALLE" <8003235441>. They hung up before completely navigating our IVR.

It's from FreightQuote. I did do an inquiry, but haven't utilized their services as I LIVE IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!!! Didn't leave a message and now I'll block them.

Just to give a different side. We use them quite a bit for shipping laundry equipment. Rates have always been pretty good, never telemarketed, and our account rep has helped a great deal.

I got a call from a lady - introduced herself as an agent with FreightQuote. Asked if we have a shipping department - we don't, so I told her no. Then asked if we ship/receive anything on pallets - we don't (our biggest item is about the size a card box), so I told her no. She then thanked me for my time, we both said goodbye and that was the end of it. Not rude at all - when she realized they couldn't offer us anything she simply ended the call.

Actually is an online company called "Freightquote". Apparantly they have a deal wityh E-Bay that whenever you buy something they are autyomatically contacted so they can quote you a freight cost. They also do business shipping and probably get your company name from the web and then solicit said company for business.

Someone from this number calls everyday! Either they hang up or say wrong number. It is very annoying, and when you ask them to quit calling... they still call. What can we do?

PLEASE HAVE THESE PEOPLE STOP CALLING ME. 3 TIMES A DAY THIS WEEK.
| wazz 2012-06-15 20:30:43 Unknown |
Same here! They call from time to time. Free 10-minute porn-music break from my awful call-center job!
| Richard 2012-06-15 18:29:06 Telemarketer |
Can't take NO for an answer. We get calls at lease once a week, and we tell them the same thing, "No thank you, we don't ship freight" Of course they call back a week later, same guy, same questions. At this point, if we did ship freight, Freight Quote would be the last company we'd call. Thank you for interrupting my day, can I get back to work now? Thank you.

I've use FreightQuote three times now and found my agent go above and beyond the call of duty in helping me with my shipment and the cost much cheaper then if I had gone directly to the shipper.
I use ups from my ebay account when I can but FreightQuote when it is bigger.

I work in a call center and get calls from this number from time to time. It's great because it just plays bizarre porn music. I get to space out and listen to porn music for 15 minutes, while avoiding calls from our a***ole customers. I applaud you, 800-323-5441, I applaud you.

Arrgghhh!

This number is from FreightQuote.com. When I put a quote request into their online system, I got a call back from a Sales Rep who said he could give me a better price than the online freight quoting system. So, he gave me a better price - 20% better, which was lower than the other freight quotes I received.
So, I used them for my shipment and everything went well. I don't ship by freight carrier very often, but I would use their service again.

Nice way to deal with these!

Watch out for this one. They left a bizarre message on my cell phone voice mail, never identifying themselves. Just said in a "puzzled" voice...what is this place? How do you pronounce this? 3 consonants? That's just weird,.."...and then hung up. Apparently this is an attempt to elicit a call back from the curious person who is puzzled by the message. Strangely, I see that several people have identified this number as being from Freight Quote. I have actually done business with Freight Quote at least once; they were a legitimate shipping company who handled shipping of large items like furniture for internet purchases. I had no problems; my item was picked up and delivered to me and that was the end of it. I don't know why they would now be resorting to this sort of behavior.

They called asking for the shipping department. As my number is residential and we don't have a shipping department, they became very rude and hung up before I could hang up on them.

I was told the same thing! What a bold faced LIE
A fax machine attempts to communicate - you'll hear the beeps

I actually did business with freightquote.com in May 2011. Yes, I am inexperienced in freight. YES THEY DID TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME. I had to resort to hiring a full flatbed for $3000. The same material was shipped a very similar distance in March 2012 (higher gas prices) by another comapny for $1000!!!
Since I hired these guys, they have been relentless in calling and emailing me. That finally stopped a couple of months ago; or so I thought. This number has been calling me daily! No answer, no message, nothing. I called fraightquote after finding this web site. The customer service woman knew nothing about this and said that she would "open a ticket with IT". I indicated to her that this site has records of these calls since 2007!
I agree with another poster that there will always be businesses like this. I was taken advantage of, and I sure hope that I learned from it and it never happens again. What I don't agree with is that mature, grown adults act like little kids and pretend that they know nothing, and use lies to support their statements.

After receiving numerous calls from this number, I called it. I received a garbled outgoing message, then pressed 2 for customer service. The representative confirmed it was FreightQuote.com and said my number may be on their fax machine although the call did not sound like one. She took my number and said she would remove it from their telemarketing list. (Yeah, right).

After numerous hang up calls, I called this number and received a garbled outgoing message, I pressed 2 for customer service and asked the woman who answered the name of her company. It is FreightQuote.com. The representative said my number may be on their fax machine although it didn't sound like a fax. I gave her my phone number and she said she would remove it from their call list.
We will see.

I, too, have received several cold calls from this number and each time explain that we have no need for freight service. We are a construction company and either purchase our materials direct from a local store or our suppliers ship materials to us on their cost. Even after explaining in detail over and over, the calls still come. I would imagine they would have some sort of data base in place in order to keep a record of the businesses called so the phone number could be removed from the calling pool but apparently not.
