they called asking for payments for a private loan they stated I had. I was unaware of this loan. I believe this is a scam.

I have no loans in default. I do not know why on earth they would be calling me!

OK, believe it or not, it turns out this is legit. It just comes off as incredibly sketchy (seriously, this company needs to get its act together-nobody who gets a call from them like I did is going to believe the calls are anything but a scam). I received multiple missed calls from this company followed by an almost unintelligible voicemail (the back half of a pre-recorded message).

I called back, if for no other reason than to tell them to stop calling me. They want an account number, which you obviously can't give them if as far as you know you do not have an account with them. They said they were a student loan servicer. I told them that that was impossible because I knew both the names of my student loan servicers, and when any of my loans have been moved or sold, I receive something in writing. They wanted my SSN. Um, no way. I was thinking this was a just a fishing expedition for people's private info. They already had my name, so the person on the other end looked me up by name and then asked if I was in Florida. First thought: "Crap. Somebody in Florida has tried to take out a loan in my name." They tried to get my address and other info, but I had the good sense to ask which one of my loans they claimed to have.

When I called up the institution, it turned out it was legit. One of my Federal Perkins Loans had been moved to this company. If they had just informed me of this in a non-sketchy phone-call way, it would have saved me a lot of effort.

Computer call asking for me to call? Yeah Right! The call leaves no company name, no reason for call just a computer program that is annoying.

I have recieved multinple phone calls from this number. They leave voice mails but i can never understand a word that is said.

Same here.  Can't even understand what it says, then it hangs up.  No person, just a messed up, garbled few apparent words, then it hangs up.

This number has been calling me everyday since last week.

we have been getting them for a week now. It sounds just like what was described above. I couldnt understand what company was calling but thankfully you all have helped.

It is a very deep and muffled voice like it is being disguised.  It does not sound human!  They are calling every  night around 7 pm.  They say they are from Campus Partners but I have NEVER EVER heard a voice like this before on my answering machine!

I truly think it is a SCAM.  I have the same scary voice and it is for my daughter that has a different number.  We keep deleting the message.  Please BEWARE!

They keep calling around 7:30 pm every night.  I think it is a scam because it is a very deep voice that does not sound like a person but a muffled disguised voice.  If Campus Partners couldn't get a hold of you for a loan they would send a letter stating they couldn't get a hold of you.

I just received a call from What seemed to be "Campus Partners", and from this number. It seems like the voice on the other end was some type of cover up, deep, scary voice!  I know that my campus partners account is up to date, and if there is anything that they need, they can get it from my account online....

My advise is that you do not take this call. I wish I knew the proper routes to report this number, but I don't!

Exact same thing happened to me!

left a message in a very strange, deep, almost horror-movie voice saying it was very important that i call them back about my account. it was frightening.

Some recorded message in a very strange voiice... hard to hear. Had to listen 4 times to get all the mesage. "He/she/it said it is very important I call Campus Partners."  No idea why. If this was important then a human being that speaks fluent English would call.
I'm guessing this is a SCUMBAG.

Called yesterday and left no message. Called today and left a prerecorded message to call as i may qualify for benefis.
I called the number and spoke to an ignorant so called customer service representative. "It" hung up on me. A gutless puke working for a SCUMBAG Company no doubt.
How can we eliminate these SCUMBAGS from this harrassment?

No idea who it is. Caller ID reads: UNAVAILABLE. Left a message I may be eligible for some benefits. I'm guessing this is another SCUMBAG with another approach for a scam.

Received a call, no one there or at least they said nothing.  Said helo twice, after a short pause a hard click and he/she/it disconnected. No doubt a SCUMBAG. Death to the SCUMBAGS

Automated call no message left.  If you block one number they just call from another this is the 3rd number that they have called me from.  I block and report to do not call and then about month later they are calling from another number.  Never had a student loan so couldn't owe anything and dont have any intesions of getting a student loan

They claim to be through Campus Partners... Will not provide detailed messages, can't call them back without giving personal information. They do not leave voicemail, call my CELL PHONE constantly.

Im pretty sure that it is a scam and everyone posting above saying it is legit is lying. Never give you information to anyone that doesnt even explain who they are or allow you to speak to a person. its just a automated call that tries to get your info.

The person that said they did the fafsa stuff is probably lying, until you go check your own situation do not assume the call is legit.

Campus Partners keeps calling my cell phone. Daily. Being a senior citizen I sure have no need of loan for college

They constantly all day & never leave a message how do we make them stop? We don't have any kids in college our son graduated & doesn't live here!

They are not actually the collection agency, if you have a loan through Campus Partners, they WILL refer it to collections, though.  I did not know this loan was separate from my federal student loans, as I didn't see any paperwork on it until a year after I graduated.  However, I checked through the University I attended, and it is genuine, if you do a FAFSA when applying for loans this is one of the things they will offer you.  The loan money comes THROUGH the school's financial office, it's separate from USALoans.

I keep on gettin calls from this number I have called 4 times to tell them I don't have any loans or any kids that attend college.  They still call.  Now I will call them AGAIN to get my phone number removed.  You would think that the first time I asked they would of removed it.

yeah its annoying they ask for account infromation like we know who they are and what they are looking for..

Yeah I got a phone call from this number as well, and I think that's right, that it's Campus Partners.  I just wish they would leave a message because half the time I can't call back the number that comes up on my phone.
