I am going thru the exact same situation with this individual.  In addition to his verbal abuse, he has contacted my place of employment and disclosed all my personal information which just goes to show how unprofessional and abusive he is.  It is incredible to see how people like "Mr Gold" are allow to do business.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) does not cover the collection of commercial business debts!
The FDCPA only offers protection to consumers for private debts. Here is the specific wording from the FDCPA:

" Any obligation or alleged obligation of a consumer to pay money arising out of a transaction in which the money, property, insurance or services which, are the subject of the transaction, are primarily for personal, family, or household purposes."

YOU ARE BEING INVESTIGATED TO FIND ASSETS TO SIEZE AND SELL AT AUCTION SO THAT MY CLIENT CAN BE REIMBURSED SINCE YOU  REFUSE TOPAY VOLUNTARILY. An idiot by the name of Maxwell Gold with Sterling and King Co. has harassed myself and my brother at home and work.  He repeatedly calls and makes threats all of the time.  We finally use caller ID to identify his calls and not answer, although he has our work phone #s and repeatedly calls them.  Don't give him any information!!!

I notice several posts on your site from a different 800 number involving
an individual identifying himself as "George Baxter".
I rec'd a voicemail on my cell phone from someone identifying himself as Maxwell Gold of Sterling & King requesting a "statement". Caller further stated that if I was unable, or unwilling, to return his call by the end of the business day, I should have my attorney contact him. I rec'd a total of 6-9 calls between 9:30AM & 10:30AM. When I returned the call & spoke with him, he became very abusive. I told him his unrelenting calling was harassment and that I would contact the appropriate authorities to report his actions. Additionally, when he repeatedly called me, I told him I was recording the calls at which time he hung up on me. I also rec'd an email from this individual (using the name Maxwell Gold & George Baxter)stating the following: "Over the next few days I intend to set up appointments with some of your creditors, vendors, suppliers and any banks with which you are associated." & "One of my associates may stop by in the next couple of days to take pictures of your business.  I don?t want to startle your employees or cause any problems, so please warn your employees."
I will be reporting both the 800 number and this situation to the State Attorney General's office. It is horrifying to imagine calls or emails, such as those I rec'd, being made to others who might be frightened or intimidated by such unethical, possibly fraudulent, tactics.
