Received pleasant call today from Colonial, they were just  checking in to make sure I got my annual chimney cleaning. Thanks for the call!

Last 2 postings read like paid advertisements. "Suspect" is right. "I don't do business over the phone, & I don't do business at the door". Just say that, & what can they say.

Had you "taken all precautions" you'd have chosen a call center which actually obeys the Telemarketing Sales Rule. Part of that duty is to avoid autodialing canned sales messages, *regardless* of anyone's DNC registration. In this thread you've been claiming "oops, we goofed" for a year now. Don't you think a change in policy is overdue?

Will you also take all precautions to keep your spammers with their suspicious testimonials off this site?

I received an annual call to have my chimney cleaned. They were offering a discount while in my area. I decided to get it done and I was pleased with the service.

Colonial Way Home Services were in my area, they did a sweep on my neighbors chimney and I decided to have mine done as well. I was very satisfied with the service and the technicians were actually very respectful and informative.

This Company is Colonial Way Home Services.  They COMPLETELY IGNORE THE DO NOT CALL LIST and continually Call even when told to STOP.  I report EVERY call to the DO Not Call Website and have made a Police Report to see if Someone can make them abide by the LAW.  Beware they maybe just trying to get access to your house to rob you!!!

I just got their call...I'm used to staying silent when I get a call from an unknown number....and as always, they hang up.  I decided to *67 them back, and someone picked up.  I stayed silent as he kept saying "hello?  hello?" ---- jackpot!! ---- I kept calling them back over and over, staying silent, and the same guy kept picking up, and he was getting pissed!!  Just call them back (*67 first) repeatedly, they will get the message!!

Keep away from these people at all costs.  They think they are scammers.

They have started up AGAIN.  They stop for a couple of months and then start right back up so what Colonial Way says here is a TOTAL LIE.. They do not take you off their list when you ask them to nor do they give a crap about the DO NOT CALL LIST so as always I immediately Report them so hopefully if everyone does and they start getting hefty fines THEY WILL FINALLY STOP....WE DO NOT HAVE A CHIMNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've received several calls from this number and here is what I did, and do when ever I receive a call from a telemarketer or collector looking for someone I told does not live here.

Read this over the phone verbatim, it is OK if you mess up or if it sounds like you are reading from a script.  I have polished my delivery and use inflection, just like they do.  Also feel free to leave it on an answering machine. In fact, when I leave a message and ask them to press "`1", I wait a couple seconds and them say "I didn't get that, please press 1"  then I say " go ahead, it still didn't register, please press 1 again" - just to piss them off.  I also sometimes call the CEO and leave it on their machine.

"Hi, my name is ________ (make up a name if you like).

You called me in hopes of selling me your product or service.
The fact is, only a few people are really interested in what you have to offer.  To the extent that millions of Americans across this great country of ours have added their name and phone number to the National Do Not Call Registry to avoid annoying calls from telemarketers like you.  I have, and up until today I have been enjoying a ring-free atmosphere in my home or place of business.  Ask yourself this: Do you really think anyone who registered their name and phone number with the National Do Not Call Registry really wants a call from you?  If the answer is yes, press 1."

We do call homeowners from time to time ,as a way to get our name out there.We are sorry if after the first call you were not taken out of the list,which was prescrubbed to NOT include numbers on the DNC. These idiots are calling me again after I went off on them for constant calls to my home in Philadelphia which does not nor EVER HAD a Chimney.  They are spam calling not only me but all of my neighbors who own their homes and who have all told them we HAVE NO CHIMNEYS.  I have reported every spam call to the DO NOT CALL LIST... They stop calling for 3 or so months but then start right back up!!!!!  Anyone considering them who does have a Chimney--They have an F rating on the BBB website...Stay Away...

This is a Chimney Sweep Company out of Delaware who continually spam calls numbers even after being told WE HAVE NO CHIMNEY!!!!!
