Oh, I'm sorry it's so annoying.  I'm sorry you stole and it just bothers you so much that the company wants their money back.  It's such a pity.  I wish I could just spend and spend without repercussions.

A debtor complaining of harassing phone calls from collectors are no different than drug dealers complaining about the police.  If you all would spend 1/4 the amount of time figuring out how to pay your bills as you did trying to avoid them, we may not be in a recession right now.  I've been laid off, I've been in tight spots, but my bills always come first.  My bills come before I eat, and before my family eats.  A good citizen knows that debts need to be paid.  A criminal avoids paying bills and throw pity parties for themselves.  It's really quite disgusting.  I don't care what happens in life, THE BILLS HAVE TO BE PAID!!!  I have no pity for you.  You are simply an irresponsible child.

I have been a bill collector for over 7 years. I have never heard of bill collectors making these type of remarks to "debtors". No wonder they won't answer the phone. It has nothing to do with people "not paying their bills" as you have said. I have to side with these people. You are outright harassing them even on here. These things are completely and utterly uncalled for.
    Even though I am a bill collector myself, things happen and the problem a lot of bill collectors do, is they rather beat up the "debtor" and not let them know they can make arrangements. Then the accounts get sold or even they get sued for non payment because bill collectors never discussed "OPTIONS" with them. Over the last few years I have realized you work for the client, therefore you need to do what every it takes to collect the money with in reason. Even if it is accepting $50.00 a month payments. Your commission is not that important that you loose any ethics you may have.
    I wish someone would report you harassing bill collectors so people like myself can do my job correctly and not have to worry about people like you making the job harder than it already is. If people think all agencies collect the same way, they will not answer the phone to any collector and in the end will make the money collected limited.

They meaning 800-345-3310 continue to call. I do not owe them any money they are trying to contact a family member. I told them to stop calling I don't owe it and that they are harrassing me. That family member went bankrupt and they are still calling. What are my rights for the state of Ohio? I told her to stop calling I will however contact my attorney and then I bet they stop calling I'm sick of the harrassment...After all I don't owe them anything..

I get several calls a week from this number wanting to speak to a Patrick A. McDermott and there is no one her by that name.  They tell me to push 1 if I am that person or 2 if I'm not.  I always push 2 and they keep on calling.  How do I get them to stop.  With all the scams going on I am not calling this 1-j808-345-3310.  How do I stop this.

Received a phone mesage call on 11-17-11 for someone who I do not know, but whose name has recently been on mail I received.  the message left # 800-345-3310 saying it was "concerning business you are currently conducting" and that the company was (hard to understand name, very garbled), sounded like Delmarba Capital Services.  I tried to call today 11-21-11 to ask for my number to be removed, and lady got nasty and hung up.

got an automated dialer call from an unknown number.  asked for an employee here, but only left a number.  i called the number back for the company's name so that i can pass that along.  afterall, i am only the receptionist, right?  i will look stupid saying, hey call this number...no name, no company name.  i called back and asked for the name of the company and a guy answered the phone, sounding like he was sitting on the toilet, and said, so someone called you?  uh, no, an automated system called.  i just need the name of the company...his response, just disregard the call.  i asked again for the name.  he gave it to me and again told me to disregard the call.  what the absolute hell?  why bother to call then?  IDIOTS.  if they don't give a damn, why should you?

Have gotten a few phone calls with a recording for "F. Leslie Novaz"....since I was not that person, it asked me to press "2" and then proceeded to ask me to tell Leslie Novaz to all 800-345-3310.  I called back and told them I had no knowledge of this person and whoever he/she was had given them a fake number....the recorded message came from 213-261-0400

On a daily basis I receive harassing phone calls from this number and 701-4191 from this company. I've asked them to stop calling but they continue to call anyway. I would like them to stop calling me. This is very frustrating.

Just contacted me recently by robot for someone sharing the first name and a phonetically similar last name (my last name is extremely rare, only 4 people in the united states share it). The call came from a neighboring city. The bank is for US Bank which where I live, is represented by the San Diego Credit Union. I HAVE NEVER DONE BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK. If they continue to call I may have to action as well.

These people have been called by me, twice, that they are leaving voice mail on my autistic daughter's cell phone, and told to stop. I have confirmed the number with them, and told them both times she is not the "Jonathan" they are looking for. They refuse to provide any information other than that it is a "current business matter". Spoke to someone named "marcy" today who said the calls should stop within 24 hours. That is what they said the last time, too. I am concerned that this could be some kind of scam trying to collect information. And, this is very upsetting for my daughter.

We too have been getting calls. I researched who they were, what they did, and suits against them. As it turned out, a man I went to high school with, back in the 70's, was one of the people suing them! I contacted him, via facebook, and he told me they are most definitely scamming people. He had a "big boy" lawyer from Chicago present on the case. He won the suit...

With that said, we have NO outstanding debt! We do not owe ANYONE or ANY Company ANY money. Never have... I hesitate to call them back though, as my high school friend said they are jerks. His settlement was substantial though... Hmmmm, he gave his lawyer's name to us and I am contemplating calling this lawyer.

I am not conducting any type of business. My cell has been turned off for over two months and three days after i get mins for it these a--holes keep calling!!!!! What the hell!!!! Ive paid my debt....leave me the hell alone.

not all debt is purchased, in fact, A LOT of it isn't. there are many agencies that have contracts with banks and creditors and the original creditors typically keep 70-90% of what the agency is able to get. get your facts straight dummy... you are right about one thing though... not all debtors are scum, but most are! you can't generalize. just as most collectors aren't jerks.... there are a lot of them that are, but the majority know the laws and would never break them.
