I rec' a call a few minutes ago-same thing. They wanted to speak with the person who handles the Visa-MC account. Said we have been overcharged by MC and VISA since Nov and they wanted me to set up an appt for the "numbers guy" to come to my office to go over the statement to show how much we were overcharged. If I didn't have time for him to come to my office, I could just fax a copy of my statement to them 949-861-4013. Names that were given: Jaye Stuckell - he's the number's guy. The person that called went by the name of Darrell Hill. I'm so glad I searched the phone number because I was close to sending them a copy of my statement!

SOMEONE CALLS SAYS THEY ARE CREDIT CARD PROCESSOR....I SAY WE ARE NOT

Called my business number at least 3-4 times per week. Usually hangs up when my receptionist answers. Today, she was able to transfer them to me. The caller said they were with "merchant services." I said I was not interested and he hung up on me. I use a VOIP phone service and it makes it super easy to block numbers. Now blocking this number.

A nasty lady called from 800-345-6243.  She is rued to me.  Told her I don?t want to talk to her.  She called me ?stupid? and hand up.  I tried to her back.  But the phone number show on caller ID not working in my area.  I Google the phone number is see all these posted about this number.  I called one of the numbers listed here, and got her supervisor.   His name is Jeff Lu.  He apology and said he will trying to track her down as she does not give me he name.  did not hear from them since

DID NOT STATE WHO WAS CALLING OR WHERE CALLING FROM - ASKED IF WE TOOK CREDIT CARDS.  WHEN I SAID NO THEN THEY SAID " ARE YOU ARE A DISTRIBUTOR OR WHOLESALER?".  I TOLD THEM IT DIDN'T MATTER WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS WE ARE, WE DON'T TAKE CREDIT CARDS.  CALLER ID SAID "TOLL FREE"

I receive a call from this number daily, always dead air. Annoying!!!

Repeated calls from this number, same story as above. Have tried to get removed from their list, but of course that's not going to happen. I created a "Telemarketing Scam" contact on my contacts list, put the numbers in there (other numbers call as well) and then installed "Silent Ring Tone" on my iPhone so when they call the phone doesn't even ring.

I got sick and tired of all the phone calls from this company, I made an appointment to have
a rep come and see me , when they arrived I told him I had no interest and that he wasted his time coming here and every time they called I was going to do the same thing,  the calls finally stopped

My business received an instant hang-up when answering a call from this number today. Looking on this blog I see it is Merchant Services, which we know to be a constant nuisance caller. No matter how many times you blow them off they keep trying. Certainly a scam. When they call, their first question is "Do you take MC/Visa?". I'm sure most business owners think it's a common question from a would-be customer, but don't be fooled. Rather than answer directly, our typical reply is "who is calling please?" As soon as they say "Merchant Services", HANG UP! Don't waste your breath asking them to take you off their list. They won't do it.  Other times they, or companies like them will call and say "I'm calling about your credit card merchant services account" or some such. Then they'll tell you how they can lower the fees you pay for credit card processing. You may be fooled into thinking it is your real service provider, but beware, its these scammers. Please spread the word.

Same as above. The company uses several different numbers. In the future we will have some blocking features. These people are amazing. Who signs up for this stuff?

I'm so sick of these people calling me. What can we do about it? Definately sounds like a scam. If they don't like what my response is, they always immediately hang up.

I just like to ask the caller why they would have such a horrible job and what a miserable life they must have annoying people all day.  Try to waste as much of their time as you can.  Put them on hold.  Get their fax # and send them pretty pictures :)    Please add any ideas you can.  Try to sell them a timeshare or something.  Maybe talk them into a better scam company where they can make more money "with no increased fees" :)

Yeah and you tell them no and they keep calling and calling and you tell them no and they call and call.  You just hang up and they call right back.  SO FN ANNOYING and RUDE BUSINESS.  I've change processing companies before and if I do again, it won't be to you annoying BASTAGES.

I agree. I see MANY posts on here with people asking the 800 number to stop calling, and I hang my head a little and sigh. I know this place is great for reporting bogus practices so other people don't need to waste their time and/or money with these kinds of companies, but people need to realize that
- 1) the telemarketers do not come here to see if they pissed anyone off, they do not care
- 2) being on the DNC list does nothing - these folks have loopholes they use to avoid fines
- 3) telemarketers get your info from the phone book, credit cards, loans, mortgages, magazine subscriptions, if you've ever signed up to win a prize, if you're voluntarily on another mailing/calling list

Basically, report the call so others are aware - but there's really nothing you can do about it. As soon as a number gets reported, the company changes both their name and the number. Just hang up on them and don't waste your time arguing (unless you have free time - then go along with them for a while and come up with stupid answers. wastes their time and you get a chuckle!)

ID said "Merry Maids." Dude on the other end asked (very brokenly, as if this was his first time reading a script) to speak with the person who handles our Visa and Mastercard accounts. When I said they were unavailable and to leave a message there was a long pause, followed by "uh......... no, I'll just call back."

Nice touch on the Merry Maids ID, though. Nicely misleading.

Received numerous phone calls from this number.  I am on do not call regestry.  When I try to call back - no phone connection - dead line.

Rec'd a call today inre: merchant services and would to talk to someone..I said no you can't talk to anyone and remove us from your list and hung up.
They called back and said I should remove myself from the yellow pages cuz thats where she got my number from..and she hung up

Received a call from this company at my business.  When I asked him what it was in regards to he told me I was rude and was horrible.  I want a number I can report him to.

got the call today from holly, merchant services -doesn't know who our current provider is, but there's "alot of stuff going on with fees", so on and so forth...wants to review our company...."so go ahead and give me a call back"-yeah right.

They call everyday and ask the same question, do we accept credit cards? This morning I got ill because I was in the middle of a business conversation and had to stop in the middle to answer the phone for the same stupid question. I answered and said no we dont and im tired of these calls everyday. Then I told her I had already registered with the do not call registry. She got smart and said that doesn't pertain to a business. This is so frustrating! I tried to call the number back and it doesn't even ring. Any help?

I keep getting calls from this number. They never speak they just hang up. Tried calling back but call gets kicked off every time.
