I received 2 calls from 800-346-3425 today and when I answered the first call and it was automated I hung up. Then I got another call and did not answer and no message was left. If it was in fact GE then it probably was about the furniture I just purchased but if this continues I am sending the furniture back. It is not very professional to handle your customers this way

Very grateful for this post. I too have received numerous calls from this number but haven't answered. We did recently purchase some furniture so it's good to know. Thx for the info.

It's legitimate...a call from GE Money to verify recently financed purchase...in my case, Mohawk Carpeting. Just a couple of automated questions to verify it's me, and then a press 1 if I received all of my merchandise, 2 if not.
Strange way of conducting business, but guess they have a valid interest in confirming my purchase and charge.
Caller ID did not identify them

I was in the middle of a service call - when my home phone rang... I bailed on my customer, since my Mother-In-Law is very ill - and it may have been emergent.
I ran from my office to my home phone and picked up the phone on the second ring... I didn't even bother checking Caller-ID.
I was greeted with SILENCE - I waited 5 seconds - and hung up and went back to my customer.
Unwanted Calls are bad... ROBO-CALLS are worse... but the calls where you're interrupted... on YOUR TIME, and the caller isn't immediately there - are THE WORST.

This is an automated phone call from GE capital checking to make sure we got all or furniture.
I agree with what someone else wrote earlier that this is VERY poor customer service, they should at the very least put their name in the caller ID.

Like others, call I received is from GE Capital. I was suspicious getting the message from the call because caller ID just says "Toll-Free Number". I was leery about returning call and giving any identifying info, until I read other entries here about the number. Calling the number back, and it was automated: no request for SS# or account #; just "press 1 if you've received your purchased items, press 2 if you haven't".
Pretty cheesy, but typical. The toll-free number on the back of the card gives info only specific to its categories. The recording states that other information requiring a live customer service rep will cost $25.

did not order or charge on a ge credit card --- recorded message was sent to a new disposable cell phone. Computer glich or scam? they were checking to see if received the ordered merchandise.

I received 2 calls from this number (800-346-3425) and after reading the posts above, called the number back. It was GE Money Bank wanting to confirm that I received my products and if I was satisfied.

I have been receiving calls from this number. I avoid unknown calls like the plaque due to so many telemarketing nuisance calls. After reading several posts here, I decided to call the number. It is an automated system fromGE Capital concerning receipt of my recent purchase.

Received calls numerous times from this number, but there was never a message left. After reading these posted messages here, I called back the number and it was GE Money systems (automated system), and I had just recently had a large carpet purchase that I had opened a GE credit card for. I actually haven't received my carpet yet (it's not scheduled to be put in for another week), so I hung up when it asked me if my purchase was received or not. Still seems weird that they'd do something this way, but it does seem legit...

As already stated it is from GEMoney. Furniture purchase in my case.
Note: you don't have to wait for them to call back. If you dial the number the system will recognize it and ask if the furniture was delivered. That's it.. No personal info asked.

I got the call 3 times. I kept hanging up because I thought it was a scam and that responding in any way would cause me big trouble. I finally called the number and it was GE money and they were just verifying that I had received all of my furniture that I had just purchased and financed through them. It was all automated, but legit. I didn't realize my new account was called a "Design Account", so that did not ring a bell. This was a very poor way to contact customers, in my opinion. You just can't be too safe these days.

This is a legitimate caller. The automated system just wants to make sure you received your merchandise or services.

They need to know when merchandise is delivered so they can recognize revenue under GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). No personal info was requested, just whether or not your merchandise was received or when you anticipate delivery.
Kinda of a cool system, actually.

Received a message. The company did not identify itself in the message. I called the number which put me through to an automated system. It was a legitimate call to confirm a purchase with Thomasville Furniture that I'd made. It sought nothing more than my home phone number.

I received 2 calls from 800-346-3425 which I didn't answer. I received a 3rd call today and answered. An automated message said it was regarding a recent purchase, but I couldn't understand what "account" it was on. When it said to push any key to continue, it hung up shortly after I didn't push anything.
