It's Discover. I did try to call the number, but I was a little leery about giving them all of my information so I called the number on the back of my card (just in case) and it took me directly to the fraud prevention line. I used my card too many times in one day.
In this case, it is Discover - and their email to me did look a bit like a phishing email (because phishers are smart). I always err on the side of caution and call the company directly to eliminate any doubts.

It is a legitimate email and number from Discover. I listened to the above postings about it being a fraud and called the number on back of the card to report the email. They confirmed the email is legit and there were fraudulent charges on my account.

That is a fraudulent phone number in a fraudulent email. The account number in the email (last 4 digits) was not even mine. They tried calling me too. I called the REAL Discover Card fraud prevention dept. and they confirmed that this number is no good. DO NOT CALL it. This is one of the best group of scammers I've encountered.

It is legitimate. They want to check if certain charges are legitmate. It is not a phishing scam.
