I forgot to add that if you hang up on them, they follow up with a reminder letter.  How persistent is that?
The funny thing is the medication they keep reminding me to refill was NEVER purchased from them to begin with.
I buy all my medications from Costco Pharmacy.  How the heck did they wind up with my record?

They always start out with ... On behalf of ... (your medical insurance co), then they go through their spiel.  Even their letters starts out the same way.  They sure irritate me!  I think I will also mark the letters ...RETURN TO SENDER... Wonder what will happen next.

I know it's rude but enough is enough.  I just tell them that I'm NOT interested in what they have to say and that I find their incessant calling annoying.  Then I hang up.  Too bad there isn't a way to block their number from your phone, or have the capability of adding their phone number on your phone and have it automatically hang up on the call.

CVS "robocall" THREE times today....the number given to *stop them* is 1-855-475-2133
48 hrs required to remove my number from further calls...we'll see how it works out...
I *NEVER* "opted IN" to a reminder call system and do NOT appreciate this cavalier
attitude toward my PRIVATE telephone number....

I have also been a victim of CVS Pharmacy automated calls.  When I called our local pharmacy to ask them to remove me, the pharmacist said they could do nothing about it.   She seemed to be fine with the loss of business and responded in an "I couldn't care less" tone.  There is no automated way to remove your number, so you have to call at the time when they are open and you are working.  I and my family will no longer make even the most minor purchase from any CVS Pharmacy in the world.  I am also using social media sites to warn others about this unfortunate attack on our privacy.

I think if you fill out an application that wants a phone number and you don't want them to call, you should use the 800-349-0679 number.

I moved to CVS when Walgreens dropped Express scripts.  The "important" calls have begun and everyone seems powerless to stop them.  They also keep losing any record of my prescription (when I show up) and call me to tell me its ready when I get home.

Walgreens will be taking express scripts starting 9/2012 and I'm moving back.  In fact CVS is so annoying I'm moving my prescription to Rite-Aid for a month just to avoid CVS.  I suspect the Marketing manager who put this "phone call" policy in place has been promoted ....

I received a call this morning and this afternoon from CVS automation saying they had "Important Information about my Prescription."  The automated voice mentioned my exact name and asked me to punch in my birthdate.  When I tried to hang up, the phone would never end the call.  Each time I picked up the phone to call the number on my caller ID 910-256-3761 (which is the local CVS that I FORMERLY used), the recording was still attempting to get my birthday.  Finally, the automated caller said that I would not be able to refill my prescription because I would not punch in my birthday.  I called the local CVS a second time.  Earlier this morning, the woman at CVS told me that the corporate headqtrs was routing calls to make it seem like the local CVS was calling me.  She told me I had to call corporate myself and request to be taken off the list. I told her that I had already done this about 6 times last year.  On the second call this evening, the local CVS told me, "I wish I got paid enough to call corporate for you, you'll have to call it yourself."
CVS lost my business last year.  I wish I had not made the mistake of taking a prescription there earlier this year.  That is probably what started all of this again.  What poor business manner... and trying to push a prescription refill on me that I don't even need or want!  How desperate are they... must be losing business.

I called and asked to opt out of the phone calls.  It did work.  However, if you call your local pharmacy to refill and punch in the refill number - you automatically get put back on the automated calls.  I was told to avoid this by talking directly to a live person.  Good to know - but what a waste of theirR time and mine.

I'm to the point, concerning the reminder calls, that I'm about to do what I did to the local newspaper.
I work nights and kept being woken during the day,by the paper, wanting me to renew. When they refused to take me off their call list I got a paper, went to the opt ed page and got the editors names.Looked them up and found one had home phone number listed. Wrote an email to him and explained that the next time I was woken from my sleep I was going to start calling him from work at 3am to remind him I didn't want the paper. I got an email the next day saying I was off the call. Today I'm going by CVS and write down the full name of any pharmacist I can find. I'll ask off the list again and if they don't help me I'll start making 3am calls to their home asking if my prescription is ready

I've asked at the store to have my phone number removed but they tell me in the store they can't do it. I get so sick of them calling me about a prescription I KNOW I need to pick up!

Did they remove your number from their list? Because I have called this same number about 10 times and they have never removed mine.

I feel sorry for you. But if CVS would do something about their automatic caller and take everyones names off the automatic voice caller list that wants off of it. Then you wouldn't have to make that many calls. The number CVS gave me was 1-800-581-5300. Call it I don't know how many times. They say it will take up to 48 hours to remove my number, hasn't happended yet and this was about the 10th called I have made to them.

I've also have tried to get CVS automatic services to stop calling me. I tried this number
1-866-514-4965. I know at lease 10 times to remove my number, but let they keep calling. It didn't take them 48 hours to put my number on the calling list, why should it take up to 48 hours to remove my number. Which by the way, they never do. So if this time doesn't work, I'm going to keep calling the automatic caller machine. Over and over and over again. Maybe they will get just as tired of me calling them, the way I am of them calling me. And if this doesn't work, I'm changing pharmacys with no automatic phone calls.

cvs calls my husband's cell phone every day with a reminder to pick up his prescription, there was no call back number because it was automated, finally today after two months a human left a message with a call back number. we called that number to opt out and after going thru another automated system we were told they couldnt find our number anywhere on file. i was given two numbers to call, one for employees (which isnt helpful) and another one that is supposed to be open until 6pm est, and its 5, and shocker, they are closed. so three phone numbers, a lot of automated calls later and i am now on hold trying to get it resolved, seems because neither me or my husband actually shop there, have a file number or have our birthdays on record they cant look up why we are being harassed and take us off the list. this is ridiculous! i am tired of these phone calls and cvs needs to figure out a better way to remove people from their call list, if i dont shop there of course i wouldnt be on file, figure out a way to look up the number that is being called every day and take me off the list!!!!!! i have been on hold for over ten minutes now...amazing
