They sure don't pay their bills. I paid them off back in October of 2013 and they have not paid the money back to the debtor.

They called me stating that legal action was already taken against me and they were about to attach anything connected to my social.  Would not give me any contact information for their agency.  Googled this site to find out this is a scam.

I worked for them so what i will say is the job is legit... on the other hand the accounts they were getting were old or duplications. & yes several of the people were VERY rude to the debtors. As far as management they are completely full of s***!!! My advice if you do owe ANYTHING deal w/ that company directly vs risking being possibly scammed by PCA!!!!!'!!

Don't pay these people, first off Tameka penister the owner does not pay her employees, she uses them for 3 weeks and lets them go with no intent on paying them. The debts are maybe 150.00 she adds 500. Dollars on to it. They are very mean, rude and less than honest people. The worst part is tameka claims to be a christian women. She is also being sued and is in trouble with the irs. There is also 3 otther collection agencies collecting on these debts.  She also moves aroind a lot. Once u pay the debt she sells it to another agency.  This women is a devil. She owed 8 other people a pay check and will not pick up her phone. If u can go thru the creditor to pay the debt. Even if u pay u will still owe.

I will pay if they are but I am afraid of getting scammed because I am very very low income and cant barely afford to pay my bills let alone Christmas this year so before I give these guys money I just want to know if it is gong to the debt or to a scam artist. Oh and my husband works but we have had to take on our 3 grandbabies plus our own children that is why our finances have went so far down lol. My experience with these people was quite the contrary... Although I thought they were a scam as well from the beginning simply because they were to nice and accomodating (could have been the particular rep i had). Yes they did make me aware that my acount was at risk of being resolved without my consent in my county. Yes they offered me a chance to make restitution but also told me it was my choice. they were not rude at all!! they gave the facts. facts would piss someone off if theyre trying to avoid paying or just flat out lying!! Pay your bills PEOPLE!!!!!!!

Pennister Closson Associates - doesnt matter who they say they are or what they are acting as; everyone should state/reply to these collectors that NO LEGITIMATE DEBT will be acknowledged or discussed by PHONE.  Tell them or write them a letter stating that, if it is a legitimate debt, they can mail OFFICIAL CORRESPONDENCE to the consumer's proper mailing address, like all LEGAL business does. DO NOT RESPOND TO ANY OTHER TYPE OF COMMUNICATIONS from these types of COLLECTORS, including phone or email!  TELEPHONE is no longer a legit way to collect!

Debt Collector Nelson, Hirsch & Associates Enters into $4.3 Million Settlement with the Governor?s Office of Consumer Protection

ATLANTA, GA ? Nelson, Hirsch & Associates, Inc., a Georgia debt collections company, and its owner, Tanya Santiago, have entered into an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance with the Governor?s Office of Consumer Protection (OCP), resolving charges that the company committed multiple violations of the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act. OCP?s investigation stemmed from a series of reports from consumers that Nelson, Hirsch & Associates harassed and deceived them by:
?Failing to disclose that it was a debt collector attempting to collect a debt;
?Threatening consumers with arrest, imprisonment or charges of fraud if they did not pay the debt;
?Refusing to send consumers written proof of the debt owed;
?Collecting more than the amount owed or authorized;
?Threatening to call the consumer?s employer and have the consumer?s wages garnished;
?Falsely representing to consumers that it was affiliated with a law firm and/or that the caller was a fraud investigator;
?Continuing to contact consumers even after they told the company to stop calling them;
?Calling consumers at unusual hours (e.g. before 8:00am or after 9:00pm);
?Calling consumers at work when they knew their employers prohibited such contact;
?Speaking to consumers in a harassing and abusive manner;
?Threatening consumers? family members;
?Calling repeatedly (sometimes as much as 50 times a day)

Under the Assurance, Nelson, Hirsch & Associates and Ms. Santiago are required to cease business operations. Further, Ms. Santiago must refrain from engaging in any aspect of debt collection activities in Georgia or in connection with Georgia consumers for a period of at least five years. In addition, the company and Ms. Santiago will forego collection of 5,809 consumer accounts that they had purchased from creditors who had previously written off the debts. These accounts total $4,307,658. The company must also pay a $26,000 civil penalty and reimburse OCP for investigative and legal expenses in the amount of $24,000.

?We are sending a strong and clear message that this kind of abuse and harassment of consumers, and the egregious disregard for the law that these practices typify will not be tolerated,? says John Sours, Administrator of the Governor?s Office of Consumer Protection.

Did you ever stop to think that sometimes things happen to people and they can get behind on things? Such as a loss of a job, or illness, or anything such as that. People who have never been in that situation should keep their  mouths shut. Something tells me you are a debt collector as I have been one myself.

I received two phone calls yesterday on my cell phone. One unfortunately I answered they had my name right but then asked me for the four last digits of my social security, I said no way why dont you tell me and she gave me four random digits that were no where near mine. Then she asked for my address, again refused, she gave some random address that I have no idea where it was. Then she asked for my email address, once again refused and asked her to tell me, she replied "I am not privledged to share that information." And I told her I certainly wasnt giving her any info since she had already gotten two things wrong on my info other then my name.
I have never in my whole life not paid a bill on time and/or at all. I have almost a perfect credit rating(I know rare), I finally found out it is Penister Closson and Associates and IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!

do not pay these idiots. trust me i use to work for them and they are the worst employers ever. They got a felon who runs the company and a humpty dumpty looking a** manager. plaintiff moved for entry of default against defendant [D .E. 9].
Rule 55( a) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure provides for entry of default against a
party who "has failed to plead or otherwise defend." To date, defendant has failed to answer or
otherwise respond to plaintiffs complaint. Accordingly, plaintiffs motion is granted [D.E. 9] and
default is entered against defendant Penister, Closson & Associates, Inc under Fed. R. Civ. P. 55( a).

Over a period of 5 years this debt has been bought and sold.  This is the fifth company that has called our house.  I have lived at this address for 20 years. I have pristine credit.  The name they are calling for is not even my name, nor have I ever had an unpaid debt.  I have filed attorney responses each time and it stops until the next set of bottom feeders buys the list and it starts up again.  Each time I have sent an attorney response requesting documentation of the debt, the company stops calling because they can't produce any evidence.  

This is a shill game they play with the gullible.  I believe that they call every person with a similar name in the state where the debt occurred, if there ever was a debt.  Invariably, someone will be intimidated into sending them money.  BBB in Atlanta has given them an F.  Dont pick up the phone, dont call them back.
