i too have recieved hang up calls from this company.  when i returned the call, the answering voice says "Thank you for calling the Law offices of Mitchell and Kay, or Mitchelline Kay" Afterward I was asked to leave my 8 digit control number.  When I spoke to a human, I heard many voices in the background, like a telemarketing phone call.  I gave them my phone number they called, but they wanted my name before they would tell me why they were calling.  I refused to give them my name, they refused to reveal the nature of the call?
Very strange.

Mitchell Kay is one of those cracker jack collection lawyers in New York.  They buy delinquent accounts from music clubs, store credit cards, etc. for pennies on the dollar and run a call center that hounds people into paying them.

If you don't live in New York state, they're little chance they're going to sue you.

this number calls asking for the previous owner of my phone (i screen all my calls) about some case number, i'm tempted to be like "come and get me suckahs!!"

called to annoy me.  looking for james gore, not me.  says its a legal issue.  i thought i was on the do not call list?  how do i get them to stop?

automated call, "this message is for...brad... wells...", and told me that if I wasn't, "...brad...wells", to disregard the message, "this message will continue in three seconds"

There was a msg that was left that was not automated, however they were calling for someone that had not lived at the number for almost 15 yrs!

Received a message that this was an attempt to collect a debt for Katie Smith and gave a reference number. I have had my phone number for 30 + years and, of course, I am not Katie Smith.

I have got several calls from these people.First one was Mr. Hernandez,(why would you say mr. bla bla bla anyway, and not just the first name ) w/ a
urgent message and a ref. #. they always make sure that you undertand that they r a law firm.So u would fear them.i do have a charge off on my report however the bank that i had the dept w/ got bought out by another bank and that makes me think these people r fishing for $...cause they always mention
the old banks name, not the new one.I would not trust them...it is very easy to find out what depts people have now days..

Absolutely, it is a debt collection agency under the umbrella of a law firm using a phone bot to dial multiple debtors simultaneously.

Ugh!  These people will not stop calling my #. They don't leave a message and I finally called back and it was that Mitchell and Kay?? law firm.  I don't owe anyone anything so I know it's not for me.  I think next time I will just answer and tell them where to shove it.

called my cell # (which is on a do-not-call list)...when I answered, the line was dead...

This number keeps calling my phone and doesn't leave a message,,,strange!!  This number will definitely be blocked from now on.

They called asking for my EX-husband to my CURRENT husband's PARENTS house.

Pray that you are getting calls from  the law offices of Michell Kay. New Jersey sued and won a class action law suit against this company claiming to be a legit law firm and threating criminal prosacution if people did not fork over funds to them. I believe there was a criminal inditement, but not sure whether there was time served. I believe there is a civil class action suit currently underwayby a private law firm. I believe contacting the New Jeresey DA office will clarify.

I had a charge off loan on my credit report from Wachovia, a pretty substantial amount at that. This office became their representative, never spoke to anyone so dont know if they're rude or not. I recieved a letter from them and they stated that they would slash the debt in half it I could pay a lump sum payment, as instructed by Wachovia. Cant say this is the type of offer across the board but hearing them out might be worth it, despite the annoying phone calls.

This is a law office that represents debt owed...they have my information wrong..confused with someone else.  First man I called hung up on me.  Keep calling them back on their dime and making a pain of yourself on their dime until they take you off their list.  File complaint with your state's attorney general if you have a do not call law.

I just got call and I have reported this attorney to the NY bar association.  I emailed the complaint to attyreg@courts.state.ny.us.

I got a call too today, no message.  after reviewing these posts I just put them on my 'call reject' list on my cell phone, it will never come thru again!

These clowns keep calling asking for someone I don't know.  Today they told me the are the law firm of Mitchell N. Kay.  They would not tell me where they are located, except to say "New York".  I researched them and they are located at 7 Penn Plaza, 18th Floor, NY, NY   10001.  Tel: 212-594-1991.  They also are apparently associated with Plaza Associates, 370 Seventh Ave., # 1500, Ny, Ny.  I also learned they are trying to collect debts.  Their practices may violate law and I am going to file a complaint with the NY Bar:  Departmental Disciplinary Committee, 61 Broadway 2nd Floor, NY, NY   10006.  Tel:  212-401-0800.  If you google this law firm Mitchell Kay, you will find many people writing about their harassment.

the call my phone 3 -4 times a day. I tried to tell one of thier reps. to stop calling me and she would not stop talking for me to tell her to stop calling my number. i finally hung up and i will never take another call from them again. very rude will not listen to anything i have to say. how do i make them stop calling my number with out chaging it?

I just got a call today but it had been the second time. The first time the man asked for two people over a message. Then he called again today he asked for the same lady and i just said that he had the wrong number. They have the number why cant they just trace it?

They called my number too, but won't leave a message. They called my house at 8:58 p.m EST right before they aren't allowed. What losers!! Found out they do work for Accounts Recievable Management.

Wow thanks I just got off the phone with them.  They asked for one of my family members I told them he was deceased and they still wanted to speak to someone in my family.  I told them they could talk to me and they couldn't because it was a private matter.  I asked why are you calling my phone then if it is private duh!!!!!!!!  What idiots!

This number keeps calling me mispronouncing my last name every time! Saying I owe money on a previous car loan and didnt even get the car type correct.   And to think I almost started a repayment plan with them! They said they would send me an email with their letter head and never did! Must be scammers! How do i get them to stop calling?
