To begin with these people we easy to work with & instantly set up a payment plan I could afford. I paid my scheduled payments on time but never got a letter stating that my account was cleared so I called to request one & they say I never fulfilled my obligations to them. I  have paid these guys in full & to date they are still harassing me for payments. I have faxed portions of my bank statement which clearly  shows what I have paid. It clearly states the company name and phone #. Even with all that proof they are still saying that I have not paid them. The company to which I have been paying is a fraudulent company.  So, to that I asked why they're company information show up, the guy had no answer for me.  I even called my bank to request additional information about the payments I made & it all matched up with the company info I was given directly from my collector.

I was caught up in the Pay Day Loan trap and it can be overwhelming.  I went to an attorney for advice and he advised first thing to change bank accounts and then try to negotiate a settlement.  My PDL lender would not negotiate so it went into default.  They continued to debit my old account - sometimes using odd amounts, etc.  Even if you close the account, it will remain open as long as these jerks continue to debit your account.  It took MONTHS before the bank closed the account.  The bank will charge you NSF fees on every single transaction and put you on the "list" so that it will be difficult to get another bank account.  You will then have the pay day loan co. and the bank collections officer calling you.  After time, try to pay them off or negotiate a settlement but be sure the debt is legitimate.  Make sure they validate the debt and wire the money by Moneygram.  Do not under any circumstances give them your new information.  Also be aware they use scare tactics, contact you at work, contact your family members, and will fax employment and salary verifications to your employer.

I also paid $50.00 to stop them from serving me at work~ they scared me into it! I also signed and returned the employment verification, later I found out that they are allowed to do that but if they were gonna take legal action they would do it through the court! I changed my bank account and they are not getting their monlthy settlement we agreed on that was about $600, when the loan I took out was only $250! they agreed to send me verification or recipt for the $50 bucks but I never got it, they have my email, my address and I still have not gotten any thing! I filed a complaint with http://www.ftc.gov/ because they first dishonored our agreement to send me anything in writting. I just got a new verification of employment faxed and I am still waiting to see what will happen from here... any other suggestions??

I work in a court and I can tell you that the clerk of court job description is to run the courthouse, they have nothing to do with the filing of paperwork in a case that usually happens at the cashiers window. Also,  the court will not call you to inform you of the fact that they have a case against you in thier system, they would mail the complaint to your house or have it served on you by a marshall.

This is NOT THE SAME THING . Payday loans are DEBT - not buying groceries or a TV.

False threats:  Payday lenders sometimes threaten borrowers with criminal prosecution for writing ?bad? checks.  In fact, there is nothing illegal about writing these checks (if there were, payday lenders would be aiding and abetting a crime each time that they told a borrower to write a post-dated check). .Nevertheless, many consumers are terrified by these false threats of criminal prosecution.

This is AN ILLEGAL DEBT COLLECTOR STEALING MONEY they HAVE NO LEGAL RIGHT TO COLLECT - THAT IS A CRIME!

Check w/ your state's Attorney General's office to determine what licensing, if any, is required for collector to collect on a debt.  In Illinois, for example, an agency must be licensed in the state to collect.

The LDG Firm isn't even incorporated in New York.  In all likelihood, it's a small operation out of rented office space in Buffalo, an area famous for scumbag collectors.  Lombardo and Goldman are not real - only Frank Davis is.  While I cannot ascertain whether or not he's a convicted felon, I do know that his "partners" are fictitious and only one can speculate as to whether or not they are an actual legal law firm or have loose associations with one.

This firm faxed my HR and Payroll department with an "Employment Verification" form.  No notice to me by mail about any debt owed.  They wanted my Salary information, my signature and my supervisor's signature.  Thankfully, the HR Manager notified me of this and asked me to take care of it.  The Payroll employee had filled out my info and probably would have faxed back if she had not stepped in.  This "firm" does not have a Surety Bond on file with the State of Texas as required by the Texas Finance Code Section 392.101.  They are thereby prohibited from collecting debt.  If they continue to harass you, file complaints with your state's Attorney General, FTC, and BBB and if they threaten you sue them.  Good Luck!

WOW!  Tame down the hatred and learn how to spell, this is a forum not a text!  Don't be so judgemental, with the jobless rate at an all time high not everyone who finds them self short of cash does drugs.  That is like me saying everyone who uses profanity is a low class loser without the benefit of education.  There is also a difference between a loan and a loan shark.

I have received several calls from The Lombardo, Davis & Goldman firm and have been harrassed almost every time.  I was talking to one lady who was cordial until I asked for more information.  They have sent faxes to my employer requesting employment verification but can not provided me with written proof of the debt.  I had a man call and threaten to have me arrested because my "case" was going to court.  He couldn't even pronounce the name of the county I lived in.  I told him when he was sending someone to arrest me to let me know and i'll give him the numbers of some local police officers and sheriffs I know so they could do it and he hung up on me.

I got a call from this company regarding a payday loan my husband and I took out. We have had our share of hard times, so we were not able to pay it back in time. This company contacted us and provided me with the name of the payday loan company (and it was the one we took the loan out with). They didn't claim to be attorneys but an arbitration firm that assisted businesses retrieve money owed to them. They were professional and offered me a payment plan. I gave them our c.c. info for the dates and amounts we agreed upon. I hope I have made the right decision because I was only trying to make good on a loan we agreed to.

Here is the deal................. This is a broken down collection agency there is no Law Firm there are no sworn complaints notorized or other wise, the debt they collect on is pay day advance loans the debt for the most part is owned by National Credit Adjusters out of Kansas the debt is only placed there for collection ...there is NO WAY YOU CAN BE SUED  NO WAY YOU CAN BE ARRESTED. These are simple scare tactics used to intimidate you into paying...so "if" you do pay you're supporting the owners trips back and forth to Florida on a weekly basis you're helping him buy expenisve watches and Hummers. The owner tells his employees he can't afford to give them very much in a bonus check but he buys Hummer and watches diamond rings and opens new offices. Don't let them scare you, tell them to pound salt. Maybe once the owner opens his eyes to the fact he is going to end up being shut down or worse things might change. They get complaints weekly from all over the United States it's onl;y a matter of time before they are shut down and the owner and his illegal collectors are in jail.

Mark Harris called me and told me that there will be a court summons sent to my home and work for an unpaid payday loan. I asked if I can have some type of document either e-mailed or mailed to me. He said he will send something...never saw it. He wanted me to settle with him for $499 or it will cost me $3700 if i get taken to court. Is this firm Lombardo, Davis and Goldman real??

The bottom line is if you owe them the money and call them they will work with you. I know the laws and my experiance with them was fine I asked them to email the amount we came to a agreement and we settled they violated nothing nothing. Now if you choice not to pay them I guess your experiance may not have been good but remember they have a very tough job to do and the folks working there are using tools they were taught in training legal or otherwise.
