Have been getting calls on my cell for the wrong name - a man named Mr. Park (or something mumbled like that) left a message saying he was from GC services and to call back until 9pm.    I never pick up if I don't know a caller's number, especially if an 800 number.  Now I know it's a scam.  Usually people get tired and stop calling.

Message from Franchise Tax Board:
LOS ANGELES SUPERIOR COURT intercepted $***.00 from your refund. If you have any questions, please call the LOS ANGELES SUPERIOR COURT at 800.352.3778. There is no remaining refund amount available.

I called the number and it was not Los Angeles Superior Court at all. It was GC. The person who answered my call asked for my driver's license, or case number and something else but, since he was talking too fast, I asked him what company it was. He said it was GC, a collection agency.

What is wrong in this picture? First off, FTB info was misleading and this is crazy. Now, I have to go to the courthouse to search for this case so I can straighten out their records.

I KNOW I DON'T HAVE A CURRENT OUTSTANDING TICKET SO I CHECKED THEM OUT. THIS IS BOGUS. CHECKED ALL THE INFORMATIONS WRITTEN ON THE LETTER THEY SENT ME. IT DOESN'T ADD UP AND DOES NOT MATCH. SINCE THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE SEEN A SO REAL AND YET SO FAKE DOCUMENT, I TESTED ONE OF THE WEBSITE OUT OF CURIOSITY. A LEGIT WEBSITE WON'T ALLOW YOU TO PAY ON UNSECURE LINK AND YOU WOULD NORMALLY SEE THE HTTPS. SINCE IT'S UNSECURE, THERE WAS NO WAY FOR YOU TO CHECK ITS CERTIFICATE INFORMATION. I THINK WHAT THIS THIEVES WERE HOPING FOR IS TO CALL THEM AND GIVE THEM YOUR CARD NUMBER. PLEASE BE CAREFUL EVERYONE. HOW CAN THOSE THIEVES LIVE A LIFE OF LIES. THAT'S BEYOND ME. I GUESS THEY DON'T BELIEVE ON KARMA.

Sadly, with the recent 2013 round of LA Superior Court cutbacks, GC Services IS the payment center for the LA Superior courts when your ticket goes to FTP (failure to pay) or FTA (failure to appear). Once they get your case, you MUST pay through them, your Court Fine AND a GC Services 'service fee'. It sucks because THEY have 'offices' (small rooms) in ALL the Courthouses now and THEY schedule your appearances to see the Judge to resolve it if you don't pay them. I have a suspended license NOW and the FIRST Court date if I want to appear to fix it is July....2014!!! They take Cash or Credit Cards ONLY through MoneyGram with a $ 10 service fee there. Moral= pay the ticket

This company is GC services that collects debts for traffic tickets.  The ticket Im trying to pay is was issued  in California but the person I spoke with has broken englilsh and told me I had the wrong number.  IDIOT! I will notify Cal MV of this unprofessional business practice.  Terrible service.....

Me again, they've just called for the third time in forty minutes. JFC. I changed my cell number of seven years because of a harassment caller, and I've had this new one for less than a week!

Called my AT&T phone twice in half an hour. Did not pick up, but as number started with "800" preface, felt no need to answer.

In Los Angeles County, GC Services is responsible for collecting on the red-light camera tickets.  Since LA City Council struck down camera tickets, we are told to expect a little harassment, but to NOT PAY.

Yeah you ask them thier name and they give you some made up name from a movie. I just started asking them the same questions who they where whats thier name whats thier bosses name whetre do they live how old are they lol that did the trick they got scsred and hung p and never called back. Never give them your cell number cause you will have to change the number they will neveer stop calling. You can buy phones like mine that will block call  Panasonic phones have them

This is the phone number for GC Services, a collection agency that often handles past due traffic citations.
They are rude and if you ask to speak to their manager, they flip you into a voice mail box that cannot accept messages and then disconects you.

Extremely unprofessional.

This company has been calling my cell phone numerous times. More than 12 times in the last 2 months. I question them about exactly who they are and what they want but they do not give me real answers, simply ask for personal information.

Sayn please call right away about a ticket.

they just called my cell phone and asked for a family members name. something about outstanding tickets.  I didnt give them any info. right away they asked me for my drivers license.

I have received 9 calls back to back from the is company just within an hour. Do they have the right to call me that many times???

They call my cell  2-3 times a day and hang up or leave no message. Sopposed collector for l a county courts. I have no outstanding tickets. So they are a harassment.

The Better Business Bureau is an even bigger rip off than Rip Off Report. They are a privately owned company that charges companys thousands upon thousands of dollars to receive a higher ranking.  They USED TO BE GOVERNMENT OWNED until funding was cut back in the 70's.  BBB is NOTHING BUT A SCAM...

This place called my WORK repeatedly. i thought it was illegal to call your employment if you've already requested not to be contacted there, ESPECIALLY IF IT'S NOT EVEN YOU THEY'RE CALLING!!!
