They called me on my cell and left a message for a distance relative who I have not had any contact for at least ten years. I called the number is Green Tree, mortgage collection company.

Yes someone with name Phil called me regarding a person I was helping in transating stuff for green tree... he said he was from green tree and needs to contact that lady.. I said I will try telling them to contact him- I was like are your phone number on greent tree he said no and gave me a green tree phone number as a back up. How did he get my phone number? soooo bizarre...

Harasment and just not cool. I will be filing a law suit regarding this today. 17 calls to contact my next door nieghbor for what, I asked, personal matter well call them, we did, then leave me alone!!!!!

I get messages on my machine and the person says she wants us to get a message to K---. I call back and the menu does't give an option to speak with the person who left the message because she never leaves an ext number. So I put in a random number and the lovely person who answers wants my acct number. I say I don't have an acct and then she wants my social. I tell her I just want them to stop calling and that I'm not related nor do I know this person. She again asks for my info and yes I got just a little angry and she hung up. This was just today. Last month the same but I was told my number would be taken off their list. Next time I'll answer when they call....

GMAC sold me to Green Tree. I was a month behind with GMAC and now Green Tree is calling my relatives! These people are impossible! Don't willing do business with Green Tree!

Green Tree is what they said they were. They keep asking me or family to contact a neighbor. He said "it is personal matter, and he does not know my last name" I said, "It's personal and he doesn't know you?" Well its a private matter.
I told him the house does not exist. Let them figure that out! I mean if they have the address why not use a stamp!

Wow-Just did a call back to the 800-352-7751 number and the person that answered the phone was very pleasant - told them I had already made payment and to stop calling -- they transfered me to my "account specialist"  WOW how rude can you be - that guy was just plain nasty, I really do not like these people-want my old mortgage company back -:o(

just got a call from them today they were looking for my next door neighbor either this bunch is very desperate for money or very stupid probably both

It is Greentree.  All the bad things people have written are true.   They have horrible business practices.  I wish all of these comments could get put on television and this company exposed for the practices they do daily.   They posted my July payment 7/28, called my neighbor today 7/31.  Obviously bad communication, bad business.  The poor people who work there must conceal their identity because they would have to be very embarrassed.   I ignore them.   I have been paying 15 days late for 2 years due to this recession, but I pay.  They harrass me every month.  Will not put a payment at the end of the loan, will not do anything to assist in the 15 day lapse, like move a due date, and me pay a 15 day fee to do so, nothing.   Just their way or the highway.   Hateful, ignorant company,   I am spreading the word.

I just received a call (June 19, 2012) from 803-234-4275 from "Jeanette" looking for Irene.  I have no idea who Irene is but after reading these comments even if I knew her I would not pass the message along.  "Jeanette" said she was desperately trying to reach Irene and I should ask Irene to call her back at 800-352-7751.  Apparently this company is using additional phone numbers in their fishing attempts but the same call back number.

Just had a message on my recorder from "Tabitha" asking me to notify a neighbor that she had an important message.  She was supposed to phone 800.352.7751.  Since we barely know these neighbors, I Googled it and came up with all of the above.  Just thought I'd pass it along that as of March 12, 2012, they're still at it!

They call every day and do not leave a message. If "I" did that to another citizen, I'd be charged with harassment! What makes these companies any different? This is B.S.!!! WHAT is the point of calling you if they just hang up? When I HAVE answered their call...they STILL hung up on me! Jokers!

Same with me. I just got a call from Marla asking me about my neighbor. Whether I had seen her. Why she isn't calling back. I called back after seeing all these horrible comments, and was told that what they are doing is called skip tracing and is allowed. I will look into it at this point and figure out if it is illegal. What Nerve!

This company, obviously Green Tree has called my neoghbor trying to reach me. I think this is illegal and I plan on going after them. Our caller said his name was Josh.

I have caller ID and get calls almost daily from this number. I don't answer because I know it's either a solicitor or scam artist. Then anywhere between 5 to 15 minutes after they hang up I get a call from 877-606-7483. I looked this number up and this is also listed as Green Tree. They are obviously going to keep calling because I'm not going to play their game and argue with them that I don't have anything with them that they should be calling me about.

I do not have any connection to Green Tree but one of my neighbors do.  They call me ALL the time asking me to give a message to my neighbor!  I have asked them to stop several times.  How do I make them stop?

My mortgage was sold to them from Litton Loan.  I hate that they can even do this!

They have been harassing me this month since the 5th.  The mortgage is due on the 1st and not late until the 16th.  I don't have the money to pay them right now, but will have it soon so I don't bother answering the phone calls.  My caller's name is Annette and she is a #1 B*&@H.  Wants to know "what my intent is with regards to the property at ...."  What does she think???   Do they really want another house to try and sell?  The mortgage isn't even 30 days past due!!

Today, they called my inlaws....who are elderly.  Ridiculous!!

This company keeps calling me from both this number and 877-835-6465, won't leave a message, won't say anything, just breathes or hangs up.  I haven't had anything to do with this company since 2006 and they just won't leave me alone.

wow! got a call on my answering service saying she was trying to get a hold of blank and blank on an urgent buss matter....read all these blogs...mine is a little different...the names are my ex husband and his wife...i have had my married name since 2000! What???? The....

This caller has been calling multiple times making demands to speak with someone else.

My number is on the DO NOT CALL list and when I tell the caller he ignores it and demands the number of the person he is looking for.  When I ask what this is about and who he is he simply ignores my demand and continues to harrass.   This is Purely Harrassment and needs to stop!!

Sick and tired of these people waking me and my children every morning. I do mean EVERY. Now they have added an afternoon call. I don't answer any longer.

These people just keep on calling and calling.

They are using websites like the "white pages" to look up people on your street and calling whomever they can find. I think this is illegal and considered harrassment of your neighbors. Not to mention embarassing for you!

You might want to check your state laws. Writing a check without the funds in the account at the time the check is written could be a crime in your state and if thay are pressuring you into it???

Writing a worthless check because your under duress  could have consequences for you as well as them.

I am so glad I googled this phone number, now I understand why these people keep calling me. I don't know if someone gave them the wrong number on purpose or the company is just stupid, but they have left several messages per day for about 2 weeks now for someone I have never heard of. I guess next time they call I'll know how to handle it the whistle idea is sounding good to me.

Bought my house in '99 from Suntrust with a conventional 30 year note at 6.6%.  After 5 years, I decided to refinance and get a 15 year note with 5.6% and cashed out a little to add on and renovate.  Shortly thereafter, Suntrust sold my note to Litton (a HUGELY, trashy loan company), but I had no choice in the matter.  About 5 years later, Litton sold my account to these Greentree nuts in December of '10.  Litton sent me a card in the mail telling me that they had sold to Greentree, but no further information existed on how to pay my note.  So, I had to investigate.  Finally found their number and spoke with a nice lady who told me "no problem," and gave me my account number and told me I could pay via phone, or their .com site.  I've always paid via phone so that I can get he confirmation number and I continued to do so.  My loan is due on the 1st of the month, and late after the 16th.  I've never paid late - not even an hour.  The second month, February of 2011, Greentree began calling and harrassing me for my payments.  The very first call was so offensive I terminated the call after explaining that they were still bound by the terms of the original contract, due on the first, late after the 16th each month.  They still continue to call at least 6-7 time each day after the 5th of every month.  I don't answer the phone anymore if I don't recognize the call.  Incidently, they also call my cell, a number that I have never divulged to any mortgage company.  I just push the "ignore" button and let it roll to voicemail, but they never leave a message.  They had better pray to God that any of my neighbors tell me that they've called them.  That would be a very bad day for Greentree.

I get a call from this number at least once/day, if not more often.
Started about a week ago.
I never answer it.  They never leave a message.
Would be nice if they would just quit calling already.
