get calls all the time for a deep edgors i am not deep edgors and have told them but has still get called

These folks are calling my house, cell phone, parents house and my church. They have given my pastor my SS number and harassed him accusing him of not paying his bill. They are scum, I don't owe any collectors or past unpaid debts. They try to be nice until you ask them to prove the debt. Then they get rude and nasty with you. They tell you they are going to take legal action against you. Sent them a registered letter to cease all contact and CCd the attorney general's office in NJ and the state I live in. So far no more contact.

I wrote the above message, and I think I messed up, and it's actually APM Financial.

I got a call from Lynn Stein from ABM Financial saying that I owed money from my house that was foreclosed 3 years ago. I got suspicious after I set up a payment plan because I had never heard from the company that foreclosed on my house trying to collect this debt in this 3 year time span. As far as I know everything was taken care of. After I did some looking up, it appears I do not owe anything on the house anymore. I did owe the amount they are asking for but for something completely different from 5 years ago. On Monday I'm going to call that lender and see if they sold my account to this collection agency, but I'm starting to panic that I just gave money and my debit card number to the wrong person! I've been working hard to improve my credit and take care of things that I messed up on when I was younger, and I think someone just took advantage of that! She was very rude and demanded that I make a payment before hanging up the phone or basically they would sue me and garnish my husband's wages. She wouldn't even let me hang up with her to call my husband to see how much we could afford to pay immediately (he takes care of most of the bills) and call her right back. She kept referring to me by my maiden name even though I told her my married name. Another suspicious thing is that this debt was supposedly due to our home foreclosure, but she said my name was the only one on the account, not my husband's also, yet his name was also on the house and the loan for it.

Received message on answering machine from Henry Jackson with a "it is imperitive that you call my office immediately" and he gave a reference number.  Thought I would "google" the phone number and certainly was glad I did!  How do these people live with themselves!

I just had the same thing happened to me, they went to retired neighbor, said they got her number from the system as a neighbor. That I should call Henery Jackson with a ref. number.

I've been receiving calls from 609-570-3039 & 800-355-0123. This a company called ATM Financial Solutions. I don't answer calls from #'s I don't recognize but I called back. The woman put me through to a man called Tom Brewer. I asked him what type of company it was and he wouldn't answer me. He put my phone number in (got it off caller ID) and asked me if I was who I am. I said no that I was my sister.
He asked me when he could call back & I said that she(me) usually didn't answer calls from unknown #'s. I asked him what this was in reference to as I could let her(me) know. He said that it was a personal matter. I told him that she (I) wouldn't return the call if she (I) didn't know the reason for it and he just gave me a reference # and said to have her (me) call.
I googled the name of the company and all I could find was this 800notes site with many major complaints about them.
I will not be calling them back nor will I be answering anymore calls from those numbers.
I am on the Nat'l. No call list but I still receive calls.
It seems to me that whether you paid the debt, are in the process of paying the debt, or if it is charged off, paid off or whatever they're going to keep calling and harassing no matter what!

I just got a voice mail from someone claiming to be "Diane Ponnis" from the number you mentioned. She said she was calling in reference to a file in their office, about an issue they needed to speak to me about. However, they were asking for a "Peggy Moyer", maybe trying to scam someone who had my number previously. Either way I left them a rather colorful message that may knock their head into place.

Your comments are incorrect... I am one of the so=called "bottom=feeders that you talk about in your comments... First, You should understand that if the debt is yours you should pay it... Second, the 4 year time period you are talking about is call the Statue of Limitations and is not the same for every state, it can range from 3 years to 15 years.... GET YOUR INFORMATION CORRECT.... Remember that if it is your debt, YOU REQUESTED THE DEBT, SO PAY IT!!!

Judy Simmons called saying she works for Loren Hecker Law firm wanting a family members contact information. I pressed for more details. All she said was it could be good news and gave a ref.# and a return number 1-800-355-0123. Caller ID# 609-570-3039.. I Googled this information and found this page.

I just received the call. I get calls from a number of these companies claiming to be atty's and lawyers. Further investigation I've gathered is the debt collectors rent a space in a building where a lawyer or Atty is located so they can claim that is what they are. Once I became disabled and started getting ripped off by credit card companies who have been calling me non-stop since 2006. I talked to every company and told them the situation and that I could still pay as long as they put my payment date back where it was since I only get SS. They refused. Less than a week later I got a call asking if I wanted to pay an extra fee for covering my debt in case of a layoff or disability and I told them that was odd because I had just called and explained that to them and they did not offer me this until after I notified them of my situation and they would not take any payment from me at all unless it was a full amount that they just made up. In the state of PA they can not take your home or car. Doesn't apply to me since I don't own anything and never will. It's hard to pay someone back when they lie to you and refuse to work with you . Be aware of the tactics they use. When you ask them for more information about why they are calling they have no idea. They just purchased the debt they have no idea how much you really owe. They even started calling my BF's mother claiming I have a Prescription back ordered and that I need to call them . There is no prescription and I NEVER gave anyone his mothers number.

I just got a call from this people...when I asked why they were looking for my brother they told me that they could not tell me why because they were Federal agent!!! Is that legal???

wrong MORON! when you default on a contract it si written into the contract that the creditor has the right to demand the balance in full the only thing you can do to stop them from taking action is pay the balance

I just spoke with one of the reps there, named Marlena Burns, and she was so rude.  I told them I did have the money to pay them off today and I probably won't for a couple of months because I'm the only one working in my househould.  I was suppose to receive a letter from them last month concerning the amount owed and guess what, I never got it.  Gave them my correct address and never received anything from them.  So the information you posted was very helpful.

my parents recieved a call from Henry Smith from this same number (800 355 0123). he left a message asking for my dad, then when my dad called back, they were asking for info on me. he didnt give them any info, then a few minutes later a few calls from atty L Hecker at 609 570 3039, he didnt answer. i dealt with these same guys before, and i filed a report with BBB the calls stopped for a few months but have begun again using a different name. they claim i owe for a credit card with a $10,000 limit, but i havent ever earned that kind of money to have a card with that high of a limit. i checked my credit report and there wasnt anything on there even close to this amount or company "owed". i am contacting a lawyer, its terrible that U.S. citizens have to deal with this kind of harrasment.

I was at work and my husband called me and said a lawyer called and said does a David XXXXX there. He said no, he then asked did he know a David XXXX he said yes. He them left his name "Tony Brewer" @1-800-355-0123.  So I called this "Tony Brewer" and gave him the reference number he left and his computer went down and he havd to call me back, but he needed my name so I gave it to him. I gave him my work number, during that time my cell phone was ringing and it was my ex-sister-n-law and she said some lawyer is calling her house and she has been remarried for 15 years.  I told her I was on the phone with this lawyer and they have been calling my house too. I have been remarried for 19 years and my phone number is in my husband name so who is this person they are looking for it sure is hell not him.  Well this Brewer guy calls me back and tells me he is looking for David XXXX and I said I have a son and that is his name and he is in school, he said do I know a person at an address in NJ, I said no I do not.  I'm in OKLAHOMA. He said well you are listed as his sister I told him I'm an only child maybe he needs to talk to my parents!  I also told him if you have the persons address go there! He said thank you, I said have a good day!

Hey SarahParker, they did file a lawsuit against my mother but she repeatly asked the credit card company to SEND her an original contract and a payment through the mail. Their response was no and told her she'd have to make payments online. She doesn't do anything online because she needs a hard copy for her records and with ID theft on the raise...we don't trust just anyone going into a bank account anymore. Two different ones claiming to be representing the same card took out $2100 dollars out of her account and then we called the card company to see what the balance was only to find out they didn't have a clue as to who the people were!
Worst part is now they say she owns more than she can afford plus interest, court fees and all! Repeatly asking the credit card company to send her an orginial contract and payment and now they ASSUME that she has the original contract in her possession. My mother doesn't have one and she NEVER received on in the first place. Aren't they suppose to mail those things to you? She told me she never signed on in the first place.
We've had 3 or 4 different ones for the same card too. Now two of the other cards are willing to receive payment out right and they do send a bill in the mail. But this one doesn't seem to want to corporate with us. I've never heard of a credit card refusing to accept payment by mail like this one has!

Sorry won't name the card either they have a rotten habit of looking on these boards for certain names. I'm hearing now that if you mention one they'll trace it back to your computer and file a lawsuit against you for slander. Can you believe that BULL!!

I got a call from them too about my 6 month over due credit card. I found another site similar to this one and found out they are a collection agency.

Called on my cell phone as I was preparing for a presentation.  I informed them that they should not be calling on my cell phone that they could reach me at my home number on Fridays, weekends, or evenings.  They threatened to call the County Sherrif.

Just received a call from this number, it was automated, so I hung up.  I got curious and called the number back, a young lady answered with Lecher's office or Hecker's office or something like that.  She spoke so fast I couldn't make out what she said.  I NEVER gave them my name, I simply asked them to identify themselves.  They put me on hold, I hung up, and then Googled this number.  I will contacting my state's attorney general if they call back.

just got a call from 609-570-3039..Atty L Hecker...so I called the office, asked them why they called me, they had me on caller id, said i was called in error and they hung up on me....why can't anyone do anything about these scam artists?   This guy is a crook from everything I've read..they do answer Hecker law offices, but I don't believe he's even allowed to practice law anymore....they call me again, or call my work, and I will report them to the Atty General's office in NJ..see how they like that.
