They have called my cell phone a number of times and sent a photocopied letter that contains a ton of spelling errors--they have also called my place of employment and left a message with my supervisor who then placed me on administrative leave while we investigated the claim.  I filed a complaint with my state attorney general's office and the FTC.  Even though I am innocent of their claims, I was let go from my job when I returned for "not having the right skill set for my position"  Previous to the calls I had a perfect evaluation, attendance and had achieved all of my goals.  Do not provide any information to this company as they see it as a spark of hope that they can bully you into paying something you do not own,  Also, check with your state attorney general office regarding collection laws as they vary from state to state.

I also receive threatening letters and phone calls from a company with this same number pretending to be  United Credit Specialists. Also, an attorney affiliated with this same company claims to be a Charles I. Turner, Esq.  Nothing but lies and deceit trying to scam you out of your hard earned money. Don't fall for it.

Interesting.  I have received a ton of phone calls at work from the 800-356-3713 number but have never picked up and they do not leave a message.
Now, I received a letter from United Credit Specialists located in Ridgewood, NJ to call them (Mr. Cutler) and either make arrangements to pay $675 or dispute the clam from their client "Green Corp. Cash"
I made arrangements to pay these clowns thru another company and they get paid 2 times a month.
They also have a phone number of 201-670-8851

A certain Tim Jones called my work phone, asked for the work address and disclosed a case # to my co-worker. The fact that he disclosed information on me is already a violation of FDCPA, because a debt collector has no right to discuss information of a person's debt other than the person involved. I receive constant calls from this number with different names. I want them to stop, in fact, I warned them several times not to call me at work because if I lose my job I'm gonna sue them big time ..

I received a call on my cell phone from Ms Mccloud saying I took a pay day loan from MYPayDayAdvance on November 12 for $400 and now owe $800 for this loan and if I don't pay it now they will turn me over to an attorney. I said go ahead because I never took that loan. I no sooner get off my lunch break and back to work when they called my work number and again said about me owing the money and if I was going to be so rude they would just send me to the attorney.

Just received a call from this #, Ms. Knight stating a case #, she called my employer phone. Indicates she only has my file for 24 hrs and needs me to call back, funny this is the same case # they called about the same time last month with only "24  hrs" or it will have to be "referred on" for action.  Scammers and definitely not a reputable law firm or a law firm at all!  i do not have any collection debts!

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>

These guys called me at my place of work stating they are lawyers representing the "Yourfastpayday" loan company.  Now get this, not only are they stating that I took out a loan for 200 dollars but they are saying that I paid in total 482 dollars for that loan, that over double what the orginal loan would have been for, then they said I took out another loan and defaulted on that loan.  I do not go to these rip off loan places, nor have I ever taken out a loan from them.  I disputed this with the laywer, then called the company themselves and disputed it.  Now I have to go and pull a years worth of bank records from an account that I no longer have with Bank of America, which is a joke in itself with how many times our accounts were hacked into.  I got a call from a Jack from 1-800-356-3713, stating that the loan places is after me for this money.  But funny, when I was talked to some jack-off at the loan place, in the middle of his sentence he says, "but you can settle it for now for 200 dollars", I told him to f--k off, if I am saying I didn't do it then why in the hell would I pay for it.  482 dollars for a 200 dollar loan, who the hell has that kind of money to waste.  This is a scam, the loan company is not even BBB accredited and is over in Canada, now if I needed money (being as I am in America), why the hell would I go up to Canada for a stupid loan, doesn.t make sense................ripping off the hard working people.....watch yourself

Received a debt collection notice from ACA Recovery, claiming that I owed $650.95 to Local Directory Online.  They have a client #, but no proof of any invoicing or P.O. number.  I told them to take me off their list.  I was told to submit my letter of dispute.  Hard for me to dispute something I know nothing about.

LOL... They do not only screw and lie to us but also to the people they work with. Check the following message that I found on http://www.yellowpagesexpress.com/ .
==================================================
Yellow Pages Express is out of business.

This is primarily due to the bad publicity from working with ACA recovery in New Jersey. They have ruined our company and our fine reputation that we had built in over 6 years of hard work. We regret working with them and apologize to our customers for using them. We have tried to ask them to stop any collections on our behalf last year however they continued collecting on accounts that we placed with them. They refused to pay us or answer any of our requests after sending them a cease and decease letter. We do not have the financial means to go after them and we advice all our customers who had paid them to charge back if they can.

They called me at my work and they are very aggressive. The woman's name was supposedly Kellie Gray. I called them back and the woman who answered pretended to transfer my call to someone and the person she transferred me to sounded like the exact same woman. She claimed I took a pay day loan from them which is a complete lie. As soon as I told them they were a fraud and I was going to report them to the FTC and call the police, she started to sound hysterical. I told her she gave herself away by the fact that she was extremely unprofessional. These people need to be stopped. I am going to report this number to the Fair Trade Commission and pursue any other avenue as well.
