I received 4 phone calls from "Anthony". He is trying very hard to get my money. He wants 389.00 for 10 days of advertisement and 239.00 for 5 days. He said that nothing is due until 30 days after the last message is broadcast. I called the 800 number just to see who answers. A female answered the phone and said "9898". I felt something was awry straight away. I then went to look on the internet, and saw all of these comments about it being a scam. I just want to thank everyone who took the time to leave these comments. Now, I know.....

Our add never went on the air! He said that it did & would play a clip,.. but anyone can create that!!! The letters were sooo unprofessional! I finally got my lawyer involved! When I requested a C&D.. he was so rude about it!!! He got attitude & everything!! THis bussiness needs to be taken DOWN!~

I just talked to the local radio station that allegedly ran our "support the troops" ad, the radio station's HIGHEST priced spot is $14. That's right, Broadcast Billing is trying to charge us $259 for three $14 ads.

"Jim Avery" who now calls himself "Rob" tried to get us for this scam. Even better, he has called me repeatedly and hung up. If he calls me one more time, I am reporting him for harassment! No money goes to the troops, what I think is happening is this company buys a $45 or so ad on a local radio station and then charges the customer $259. These people are pure scum, in my opinion.

Do what we are doing: don't pay the bill, simply forward it on to your state's attorney general.

I received a call from "Scott" asking our company to help support a hospital blood drive, but after spending some time on the phone call asking questions, it was really advertising.  He said they are working with a local radio station, 95.9 The Ranch, to get the word out.  Billing would be done in July and the sponsorship levels are 30 sec spots, starting at $229, $379, and $529.  I called back the 800 number and asked for the company and they said it was Broadcast billing dept.  Thanks to the others that submitted their information.

Duane called back, I told him his station didn't exist, he spent a lot of time back peddling and he started making up businesses like Barry's tire shop and Steve's book store.  Then he told me the station was on some street like Columbus St., he finally hung up on me when he was out of excuses.

I also got a call from this scumbag operation.  Stated they were with 104.5 (which does not exist in Columbus) and they had The Dave Ramsey Show and Laura Schlessinger on their station.  Their station has been around since 1948, which is another joke.

When you call them, they aren't even professional enough to have a fake name, they answer "9898"

My interest was peaked when they said they would be running a special "Salute to the Seniors" all month long and for $365 for two days or $269 for two days they would run three ads per day for us.

They will happily bill us in November for ads so we can see how well they performed etc.

Called back and conveniently, Duane was not available...still waiting for his return call...

I GUESS THE NUMBER IS LEGITAMENT

I received an e-mail fromt he radio station.

Kathy,
Thank you very much for your concern.  The telephone number 1-800-358-9898, is for Advertisers Broadcast Services (ABS).  The Marketing Manager there is Jim Kaneshiro.  This is not a scam.  I apologize that whomever you spoke with at the 95.9 Ranch and 92.1 Country Legends was not aware of the affiliation our company has with ABS.  If you would like to advertise with either of our Fort Worth Stations, you can call us directly, or call Jim Kaneshiro at ABS.

Sincerely,
Gina Dobbs

Calling for the "Troops" program, on behalf of 98.9 The Ranch and 92.1 The Ledgends.    I called them back and they did answer.  I asked a few questions like I was interested and did take good notes to present to my boss.  He said no payment until after the sponsor segments air.  I decided to call the station and they were unaware of this.

These people called from a private phone number asking for advertising on a radio station in my area.  The advertisement never happened and I received a bill for a radio station that is not in my area.  This is a scam!!
